Question about vendor list

I thought I saw the vetted vendor list here when the board first opened up, now I cant find it, did it get deleted or am i thinking about another board?

I was looking around Facebook groups this week. Each with their own little "vetted" Vendor List, usually a half dozen vendors who are friends of friends etc. So these FB group Mods, will censor any post that even mentions another source.

I always thought, better to start with ALL vendors.. All 200 of 'em. First we define what a legit "vendor" is. Then conduct a Price Survey and sort 'em best to worst... because Price is the 1 objective factor. Other factors are not so clear.. Quality is often subjective, opinion, and can be debated lol

Following the reddit bust, it seems there's been a new "shake out" with vendors going totally OOS "Out of Stock" is this permanent or? Who knows. Should we even List vendors, who allow current stock to run out?

And... How about the many "new" vendors each month. More like each week? What should be required, of any "new" vendor who wants your business ?? How about 3 months of proven history. That's been a guideline.. We have 50+ established vendors, with good proven quality & service.

For my vendors with samples list I wanted to see three months of activity, and more activity than just posting ads and not a lot of negative feedback and no unaddressed negative feedback.

It's still kind of subjective but does seem to keep out fly by night scammers.
