About to place my first order with Smiley, but What To Choose??? I love variety and STH has a HUGE selection.

I already have the "Smile" strains (except Gold smile) that I picked up in swaps or bought on trading forum and really like these strains!! I also have Wild Red Borneo (very good), Gold Keta (need more tests on this), Red Bali (excellent) and a few others I can't recall of top of my head. Most of the strains I listed above and have from STH have leaned slower and more night time strains. Now I'm looking for some good daytime reds and greens (or blends) as well as some mid-spec strains (that are mellow or relaxing but not sedating)

Anyone have any recent reviews/suggestions/standouts from the current STH menu?? I'd greatly appreciate any feedback I have 8 strains (500 gram 4-way split each) in my cart (and still moving some in and out ). I have not searched reviews on these, yet, as I find suggestions from many members on this forum to be more informative, esp those who share similar qualities/strains.

1) Super Sibau blend (Red/Green) (Or are the Red and Green versions on their own better?)
2) Dragon Fire 2.0 (Green/Yellow/Red) This one I've been after and the blend combo sounds nice
3) Red Sandai
4) Gold Kali (LOVE "Kali" strain and never had a Gold variety. Is it slow?)
5) Red Maha
6) Green Maha (Anyone remember Botanical Bunny Green Maha from 2018? Would love to find something similar to that)
7) OG Red Kali
8) Wild Green Borneo or OG Green Kali

Happy to finally be a STH member and can't wait to try whatever strains I end up getting.

I too would love some recommendations. I plan on getting at least 1000g split four ways.

Mike, the Wild Green Borneo has been a standout from my few orders from Smiley. Obviously the Glow and Smile strains get mentioned here. I have had amazing burns from the Plantation Gold MD and the Plantation Red......The Golds and Yellows that STH gets are quite quite good if you like those sorts of strains (something about this process of gold/yellow making really works w my chemistry), the yellow vietnam especially.

I didn't have much luck burning the White Nano...the Baik Bali...the emerald elephant. just personal preference, of course, who knows. The White Banjo is the best white I have gotten from him whereas the others seemed to sort of just be of 'standard good quality kratom' quality (even the W Smile)

I think with a Menu like his and his sourcing, a great bet is instead of ordering a blind split kilo and then being stuck with maybe 500g that you don't truly enjoy, grab some ounces!!!! they are cheap!!!! they are the same as the big bags.....but smaller. I do not think that STH runs crazy small batches like some mewe vendors where if u buy 100g of something, by the time you get it and try it and like it, they are out of it. You will likely be able to get the same batch.
That said, the fact that STH does not batch-label their bags (at least their small ounce bags [both types i have gotten] is my only gripe because I do not know what is the same and what is the diff. I ordered an ounce of red glow, loved it, and ordered a big bag of it, but it doesn't really hit the same as the small ounce does....weird right? Try some stuff that stands out and then shoot a question if u find some standouts to see if it is the same stock!! I would love to see how he organizes his stuff, probably looks beautiful

I’ve always had great luck from his super green Malay. It’s been solid for 2 years now. Next time I’ll probably try his newer stuff.

I've tried several of their strains.

Super Red MD Jong Kong is a great red. Very slow and relaxing.

Green Glow was a very fast strain. I'm not sure why, but it acted more like a red. Made me a bit tired. Could be my body chem though.

The yellows and golds were home runs though. Yellow Vietnam 2.0 and Yellow Maeng Da were nice and relaxing.

The swirl blend was nice. Relaxing.

I mainly go for the relaxing strains so I don't have too much to say about the energetic ones.

STH is quality though.

Lol you are so right. i remember i pilled those strong once that make you feel sick if you over take them like 5g+ or make you sleepy, but 1.5g or 2g was very very perfect best 5 hour energy ever got. Best thing to do if you find something like that is pill them, and take 1 or 2 depending on the need if need that extra boost of energy if to tired. i can see how truck drivers or taxi drivers can benefit from it. i remember i had to drive Detroit to clean store floor/wax when i use to do that and it saved my life so many times. But i think what i noticed is if your gram per day is 10grams or something then you might have to take a week off or something to start enjoying it more and on top of that you will save more kratom.

What's the new Asian Aceh like? And one of my favorite strains ever was the Socal Green Zareena from couple years back (I think they said the strain was named after the farmer)

Think I'll place another order and find out myself lol I've placed 2 orders in the past month and very happy with basically everything I've ordered (16 strains, only 1 that was a dud for me, and several are GREAT. Very good ratio of hits-vs-misses)

Not sure how many regular customers click on this Ad link, so may want to ask in the forum. I can tell you it's a pretty green color and has had some great feedback. Def high quality. Several customers have order this strain back to back so it's been popular. Current batch is getting low but we will try and keep in stock with MAX amounts and new batch should be up within a week.

picked up my latest STH order this morning....it has been about 2 months since I ordered, and in that time the 'underwhelming' thread has been about the only reviews for this leaf here on the forums. I ordered 6 of the newest additions to the menu (coincidentally all MAX items as well...) and they are all beauties. 3 reds 3 greens ordered blind, and all of them are a beautiful green. Almost indistinguishable without labeling. I forget how many green reds STH offers. I wish I could just try a 'one of everything' kind of menu! so much stuff.

I will say, the OG Red Ketapang, the dark elephant aceh, and the green zareena have all exceeded expectations of quality. I honestly got a little greedy since I was so excited for new leaf that I tossed the Zareena and Aceh 50/50 together because I was feeling frisky, and whoa. I don't know which one (or if both ) was the powerhouse but this had an awesome awesome effect. Longest burn I have had in about a month and a consistent flood of 'good feels'. I will obviously try em again solo, but hey.
Just took the OG red by itself and its got a quick comeup, and feels like a very warm, mid-spec red. I am excited to try the other 3 as well.
Truly my only gripe is the price points for 28g (is it 25?) and 100g sort of makes it hard to try a lot blind. The way things sell out and get replaced, its hard to spend $9/ounce, then come back and hope its the same batch to get a bigger bag for 18. I will try the PRV tomorrow and post a review here for whoever asked. It is probably awesome.

Nice review! I have a cart with some items on the site right now trying to put together an order myself lol. I agree with you about the price point for 28g/100g and what you said about that. But I LOVE the 500g 4-way split option. My biggest problem is deciding what strains to try cause there's so many to choose from

I've placed 2 orders and both times I ordered TWO 500g splits 4 ways each (so 8 strains each order and now 16 strains since becoming a member)... Dragon Fire and Orange Glow are my favorites, but I still have more to try (some I've only tested 1 or 2 times). The OG Red and OG Green Kali are very nice mid-slow strains I like. And the 'Smile' strains are excellent!!

I had a few strains that were just ok, and didn't really do much for me: Super Sabau blend, Gold Kali, and Prem Red Thai were the misses for me. There are a others that are good, but prob wouldn't order again. I do wish a small sample or two were included, but it's not a big deal to me and not something I expect. I think I've just gotten used to having a sample included, especially if my order is over $100. I've heard other people have gotten samples. Smiley has so many strains, I want to try them all

But for the most part, the majority of the strains I have tried and ordered are very good and some are great. And overall I'm happy keeping Smiley in vendor rotation. My next order will likely be from them

Awesome. Does anyone have recent suggestions? I'm guessing it will be hard to go wrong. I'm interested in his: Premium Red Thai, Dark Elephant Aceh, Baik Bali, Red Vietnam 2.0, and Premium White Thai. I mus say, I am astounded at his list. I don't think there is another vendor with such an exhaustive list as his! I'm sure I'll be happy with whatever I purchase, but considering my above interests, please let me know if there is a strain I should get or one to avoid.

I just took advantage of this. This is my first foray into kratom. I previously bought 3/4K from bestdealbotnaicals, their super indo is the only strain that I got really good burns from. I ordered a 4kg split; White Banjo, Green Zereena, Pure Red Glow, and Golden Glow. My order has been shipped and I am eagerly awaiting trying some better kratom.

Thank you very much. Yea, I've had a long history of substance abuse issues. I don't do much these days since I'm in my later 30's. Opiates are my thing. I lurked around here a bit before I decided to get what I gt from Lucky's. I did try kratom for the first time last month from a place called bestdealbotanicals that a guild-mate had recommended a few years ago. They have pretty unremarkable product except for their super indo which I got 3/4 of a K of. I get really good burns from it even though I have a pretty decent tolerance to opioid agonists. I have the red bubble technique down pretty good. I keep a stash of lemon juice which I use in my Earl Grey (Huge Trekkie), but I bought a couple pounds of citric acid from amazon. The way I dose now, I put about a tablespoon of citric acid solution or lemon juice in a small water bottle and I let my dose (2.5-5.5g) soak for about 15 minutes, toss in some warm water, shake and chug. I'm not interested in getting addicted though I fear I have little self-control over this. I know to stick to plain leaf and not use potentiators. I did however purchase a bottle of Agmatine. I didn't research it enough, not sure if I can take it with my psych meds without giving myself serotonin syndrome. I bought 120 1000mg capsules. I also heard it's stimulating and I am prone to panic attacks, one of the main reasons I finally stopped smoking weed so I'm open to hear anecdotal reports about Agmantine. But yea thanks for the welcome and the info. I get overwhelmed by choices, so many vendors, and STH has so many "strains". When I was a kid my mom literally threatened to leave me at the toy store while I was comparing if one action figure would be better than the other. So I settled on STH and searched the forums for good batches. I can't afford to spend a lot of money since I'm psychologically disabled and STH has good pricing. The other place I bought from was 67 a K shipped. So 85 or 78 isn't that bad. I really appreciate it, I'll be around.

Well I received my order. Due to some rough handling by the post office the White Banjo bag was split open but STH already has a replacement on the way. Gonna give 5.12g of the Red Glow a try. Will report back.

Edit: Really pleasant burn from the Red Glow, excellent Aroma, admittedly I've only had Kratom from two places but this is by far more potent.
