Kava tinctures for best price?

I'm new to kava, am taking happy camper kava kava capsules which seem to work nicely for anxiety and depression. I'm sure it's probably bottom of line as far as quality though. I'm curious what is the best way to buy kava for your buck? Has anyone tried to make their own tincture? How did that work? Where can I find the best quality for the lowest price? I am low-income but find therapeutic benefits from using it and would like to find the best budget friendly option. I'm considering attempting to grow it indoors but that takes at least six yes to mature and will have to find something to fill the interim. Thanks in advance for your help!
