Mystic Island - Vampire Review
Mystic Island - Vampire Review (this is a repost of my r/kratomm review dated 2/16/18)
Score: 9/10
This Vampire has... puts on sunglasses... some bite to it. I've taken it the last few nights as my evening/night time strain to wind down, and it's deeply relaxing and euphoric. That relaxed, comfortable feeling where you just feel warm/happy and want to lounge around for a century and hope some asshole doesn't put a stake in your chest.
While it's not a drowsy strain in and of itself, it definitely puts you in the mood to sleep if that was your intention for taking it, but it won't lull you to sleep on it's own. It's just a heavy relaxation and pleasant feeling.
It helps you zone out and unwind from the daily stress as you lay back and contemplate the infinite blackness of your unbeating and unforgiving heart. If you don't want to meditate on your eternal suffering as a servant of the damned, you could just play video games or watch netflix instead.
It also worked great for my pain, eliminating it almost completely. If you're looking for pain relief, this strain is a must try, and is one of the better strains I've tried for pain (and I've tried a lot).
I did have one weird side effect that thinking about garlic made me frightened for some reason, but your mileage may vary. Also, despite the rumors, sunlight and holy water will not potentiate it.
In all seriousness, this is a great strain and a great addition to my kratom collection!
Conclusion: Deeply relaxing, recommended for chronic pain sufferers. 9 out of 10 bats.

Theres a distinct difference in the taste of Mystic Vampire that makes the other strains almost palatable. It certainly works but I do wonder where that additional bitterness is coming from.

I recently just startednbuying from mystic and have tried almost all there blends and strains and this one is definitely in my top for bed time. I was wondering what the bitterness came from as well. It could be red maeng da because it does have that taste from theirs. I also have noticed if I do a small dose 2-3 grams you feel amazing. But when you go to add .5 grams it just kills all the effects for me a d I can't for the life of me figure that one out. But then on one occasion I started with 1.5 grams and every 45 minutes added another.3-.8 grams and it intensified the edge ts so much it felt like my whole body had this buzz sensation. It's crazy how the same strain can be different every time. Still trying to figure out what causes that. Also if I take a higher dose all at once to the same extent of my few hour stacks it doesn't even get close to that. It confuses me so much.

Since you've tried so many of their offerings, could I pick your brain a bit? My hubs and I started buying from them fairly recently, too, and we found that we love their Green Vietnam strain very much. They ran out (and have said they'll be restocking it very soon), and we've tried a couple of other greens but none have been as good. I was just wondering, in your experience do you have any opinion on what other strains of theirs might be very similar to their Green Vietnam? I need to place an order so we don't run out of our current stock so I'm looking for something tried and true that I can just place a small order of to hold us overRotel561 wrote:I recently just startednbuying from mystic and have tried almost all there blends and strains...

I counted 52 blends /strains on their website. You've tried almost all of them?Rotel561 wrote:I recently just startednbuying from mystic and have tried almost all there blends and strains...
