Mystic Island Kratoms

I am a kratom veteran. I have taken 5-20 grams each day since starting going on 2 years except on occasional breaks between orders. I ordered a split kilo from MI based on the glowing reviews here. Vampire, Peridot were the main ones I have consumed the most of, it's all very heavy kratom, takes an hour to kick in with pain relief and a dull blanketing effect. The strains were all a 6/10 overall. 8/10 for pain relief and relaxation. 4/10 for energy and mood boost. Very minimal difference between strains compared to some vendors, I could plow through 50 grams a day of this if I got reckless. This was a reminder I really need a tolerance break, when positive reviews dramatically contradict my experience :( .

P.S. Shipping was affordable fast and discreet, so that is one main positive.

I like vampire. Their red bali is decent too. I have Peridot but have not tried it yet.

I see you rated them an overall 6/10. Which vendor have you used that you rank higher? Thanks!

Botanical Bunny is the only one that still has kratom available or did not get recalled like Acadica and Herbal Salvation.

I think 6/10 is fair if maybe a little generous as far as quality goes. They're a great company when it comes to price, packaging, shipping, and customer service, and I even like their mystical hippy approach, but after trying about 10 different strains/blends, I haven't come across a single one that I'd buy again. Their product isn't bad, but it's easily the weakest I've come across.

Good points - Don't know what the deal is with the ton of glowing reviews, always sample first is my lesson learned

I'd like to know who some of those vendors are too. I think maybe it's just that different leaf affects people differently. I've got a lot of leaf from RVA, BB, Mystic, Herbal Salvation, Socal, Canopy, Johnson's, Fresh Alternative, KOG, and Greg's botanical (yeah I went a little crazy with my doomsday stash) and I'd put Mystic in my top 3. Maybe it's just the way the leaf affects Me personally. There have been some Mystic strains that didn't do much for me, but the hits were solid hits.

Mystic is right up there for me.

I was gifted some samples of DG leaf, which many people have said is The. Best. Kratom. Available., and not one of those samples did anything for me.

Kratom is subjective. What works for you might very well not work for me. And vice versa. Just because Canopy and Socal have never worked for me, I don't accuse them of selling subpar kratom.

The variability in the bioabsorption of the kratom and the variation in alkaloids between doses even within the same bag are more plausible explanations for varied results than "kratom's just subjective", especially considering I am able to metabolize kratom alkaloids. Maybe reviewers should take extra care to contextualize and not sensationalize their positive ratings, to avoid creating unrealistic expectations and understandable disappointment.

Depends on the vendor. Some vendors take for-freakin-ever to get their packages in the mail, but the quick shippers are still shipping quickly, IMO. For example, I placed an order with K-OG last month that took a full week from my payment to USPS having the package in hand, but I ordered from both Botanical Bunny and Mystic Island on Friday and had both packages in the mailbox Monday.

So it really just depends on the vendor, IMO.

Oh, my bad, they actually do now. Half my MI collection don't have them, from the beginning of this year, but my last 2 orders do, I'll check the centaur.

I heard a rumor that Indonesia was going to start shipping out again November 1st, but that's a rumor. If it's true, then the vendors will start restocking. Should be good growing/drying season leaf too, someone correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Hey Hippie!!! RVA just had a large restock this weekend so I think you are correct. This shipments should all be coming in soon. IIRC the rainy season should be starting soon so now is the time to stock up. Hope you are well!

Hi! Does anyone know if Mystic Island does regular testing on their product? I emailed them and I didn't get a response, nothing, nada. So I am wondering if it safe to order from them. And why wouldn't they even respond? I was hoping to try them out but now I'm thinking it might not be the best idea. The email I used was [email protected]

No idea whether they test or not; if you feel uncomfortable with that then don't take the chance. Seek out a vendor that does the testing you want and buy from them.

Anything more than spot testing is not usual at the price point Mystic sells at, but there are plenty who charge a lot more that do claim to test.

Very well said. You have an amazing vocabulary which is a nice touch. I agree with what you mean, people dont compare the strains in the correct manner. I always try to be as critical as possible when rating or reviewing. It is rare to find a truly 10 of 10 strain so the reviews should reflect that
