I have really been impressed so far with my first order from Gulf Coast Kratom in Texas, which includes all of their 10 non capsule powder products. They are a membership only site, but unlike some of the cloak and dagger private sellers which remind me of exclusive country clubs that do not want people like me, who do not have a huge online presence as members, all you have to do is fill out their on-site membership form and wait a few days.

I haven't tried their Reds yet, but I have been very impressed so far with the excellent blend Emerald Ocean Waves, which gives great calm energy and clear headedness with five hour plus duration, and Green Borneo, which is hard hitting in the best way, with significant euphoria.

Labs are posted on site and they have a thoughtful array of Reds, Whites and Greens. No Yellows or Golds so far, but they seem to only carry strains and blends that they understand and can get behind. It seems they use the private membership thing to keep their business from growing more rapidly than they can handle. I have known 2 small business owners who went under because their products were excellent, but they were undercapitalized and could not handle rapid growth.

If you are not well connected but you want the members only boutique experience, I highly recommend giving them a try. I would be interested to hear other members' experience with them. I hope mine was not a "one off."

Nice review, never tried them but I'm wondering, if a whole bunch of people applied for membership without any chance of not getting in how would that help them handle rapid growth? They'd have to start denying people I would think.

Good point. At any rate applying for membership is very straightforward compared to some other private vendors. The only other private vendor I have been able to access successfully was STH, and that took about two weeks. I do not have enough of an online presence to be able to access any of the "invitation only" vendors, and at my advanced age, I probably never will. I chalk it up to a benevolent Deity saving me from some of the worst excesses of my habitual profligacy.

So what made you try them?

I have no doubt there are a LOT of small vendors out there with quality product - particularly right now, when the batches that are coming in from almost every one are pretty special. Trying to choose a vendor is a bit like dating, though. You spend some money, might have a terrible time, and wasted your evening. Or it might be terrific and you spend more time with them but in the end they just don't pan out. OR you might find the special one you want to spend the rest of your life with and raise a family and... wait. What were we talking about again?

I filled out their form. I'm basically a kratom whore, so to extend my analogy I'm willing to spread my wallet for any cute fa.. um, site?

Gulf coast has been solid for me so far… great customer service and outstanding leaf - I agree with your opinion on the green borneo. I really enjoyed his super green, green borneo, super white, and gmd. His coastal paradise is very energetic. I have a sample of the emerald green, but still have to test it out.
