Down to Earth
I got a large sampler from a friend and was impressed with the potency of some of the batches, particularly Old School RMD.
It had enough of an influence so I purchased Imperial Green Dragon, Old School Green Horn, and Elder Red Sumatra, as these were the highest rated from reviewers. These were good, but I think they are of the 'less is more' type, but very quality.
The owner, Drew, has a reputation as an OG to kratom and moving toward a killer sourcer and seller. This is his third (?) drop. I can only see things going up if he keeps on.
My experience with the Christmas blend was so-so, but I'm very inclined to give it a few more tries, you know the kind of girlfriend kratom is, lol.

Re: Down to Earth
I agree that his sourcing is getting better as time goes on. Knowing his personality and work ethic, I knew he would be a great vendor overall.
A couple of his suppliers have been good for me from the start tho.
Old school green horn, vintage super green, imperial green dragon (the 2nd one, string dried), the 2nd gold kuat, red bunut and a a couple others I’m not thinking of right now have been my favorites.
If I had to pick 2 favorite suppliers, it would be D and K. But there have been bangers from A and B as well iirc.
Let’s hope he keeps bringing the heat as the dry season moves forward.

I'll just add that DTE's Super Red Kali is one of my very favorites, and not just from DTE. It was one of those stand-outs, like LSMS's Jade MD, that make me smile whenever I remember that I have some.
This morning I burned 4g of the new Gold Kuat, first time. So far so good! (only about 45 minutes ago).
I haven't really had ANY disappointments from DTE, but of course some are better than others
And the Super Red Kali, for me anyway, is spectacular

Re: Down to Earth
got more of the super red kali than any other dte strain but i still treat it like a prized strain that I only dose when looking for a guaranteed fantastic burn. Also loved the 1st batch of Green Bakar, Wild Red Sakit, Premium Red Bali, Gold Kuat & 30 yr wild green dragon. Like you said, no real disappointments yet.SeventhHeaven wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 11:57 am I'll just add that DTE's Super Red Kali is one of my very favorites, and not just from DTE. I feel the exact same way, only with the 20 year wild red sakit! Does he still have some left? I feel like I have had to bum rush Central time and I always mess it up. I've scored a couple of times but I like a DTE fast Red and that Super Kali one was perfect.

Having a great 'blah-lifting' burn of Imperial Green Dragon and a boost with Heavenleaf's darkroom hulu kapuas 3.

Has anyone tried the new Super Red Kali – A8 from DTE yet? The first batch back when was absolutely spectacular, is this one anywhere close?
Thanks!

Re: Down to Earth
The one that everybody on their Discord was raving about was the Super Red Indo. It sold out in a few hours. I've got some down in my mailbox but it's 102 degrees outside and my mailbox is about a block away. I still have lots of that first batch of Red Kali anyway.SeventhHeaven wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 2:18 pm Has anyone tried the new Super Red Kali – A8 from DTE yet? Re: Down to Earth
Every year, we see MANY new vendors... known as pop-ups. And every year there's 1 or 2 deserve a Rookie Award... To replace some old, tired, vendors who quit or leave business... For example, I was sad to hear that Stan David of "Stan David Botanicals" had passed away RIP ~ still had a FB group. He made the Vendor List in 2018.Trippin_Buddha wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 9:44 am I agree that his sourcing is getting better as time goes on. DTE sure looks like 2023 New Vendor of the Year ...
Quality, website, reasonable prices, customer service, variety of products...

I like that, Mr. B - you put together what was I relied upon (for a while) the premier vendor list (both membership and non-membership). Maybe you should give out awards each year, and particular "Best New Vendor of the Year".
(If some of us didn't have lives we could actually put together a voting process, give out statues, have a zoom gala, etc. etc. :>).

Re: Down to Earth
I wasn’t impressed by this drop or the last. Unfortunately neither of the two I grabbed hit for me (green horn D3, super green indo). To me, his A7 OG GMD was one of the best I’ve had. Since then it’s been disappointing.

Re: Down to Earth
I love that OG GMD from back in January, as well as the first batch of 30 yr Green Bakar. Those were good enough to warrant a kilo purchase. But they also released some incredible stuff like the Wild Red Sakit, January Red Kali, Christmas Kali, Old School Red MD and Gold Kuat.
More recently I think the D3 Green Horn is quite good, if not quite up to the standards of that January leaf, and the Imperial Green Dragon is consistently pretty fire. Of this last batch I haven't tried the Super Green Indo, but the Super Red Indo is fantastic on first inspection.
The only dogs in my opinion were the Deep Jungle PMD and that slower than slow 30 yr White MD, which makes me feel like I took a Benadryl.
That's a pretty good track record for a vendor that's been around for less than a year IMHO.

Re: Down to Earth
The best burn I had yesterday was a new bag of the D3 Imperial Green Dragon at 2.75 grams from their latest drop. It was a calm mid upper to me with a great body feel and strong, long legs. I wasn't expecting it to be quite as good as it was, even though my past experience with this strain was already very good.

Re: Down to Earth
Hey, i agree with you about DTE. I really like the company and its customer service/support, but only like 1 strain out of four really hit for me. I know the leaf is fresh, has a clean taste, etc. But like yourself, i was disappointed w the green horn, green dragon, and the red indo. I actually thought the previous green dragon was a lot better, and really like the white jong kong and wild white sunda. Kind of a crapshoot, i realize, but hopin some new selections from Smiley sale will be better..✌
