This is not a review but a serious question. Gaia Ethnobotanical totally changed up their site and finally reduced their prices. I'm wondering if anybody has tried them this past month, really curious. $30 for 250 isn't bad, but I don't want to jump on ordering and be completely let down...

I've only ordered twice from gaia, there were some hits and misses, but that around February 2018.

Somebody educate me with what they know is going on lol. Gaia is now MitraGaia

New owner, or newly remodeled for better appeal?

Intersting.... the more I look at the site, the more I see that everything from their kratom guide is word for word copied from Kats Botanicals. The layout and everythingggg, even some strain names.

Fair question. Appears there is def some BS happening, with Gaia/ Mitcount/ Powers ... and Kats. There IS another group on FB, who is following this.. they are known as Kratom Assholes.

Now, after you're done laughing.. KA's review of Tom Powers says, Quote: "This piece of shit has decided to steal copyrighted images from other vendors and then he has decided to slander Justin Kats!"

Look.. Generally Speaking.. the "Head Shop vendors" have a bad reputation among the Online Community. Gaia/ Mitcount/ Powers.. are definitely in the head-shop category now. My Reply to the OP, why would U even consider ordering from these guys? I can give you 40, yes 40 good vendors who deserve your order MORE.. have better prices.. and have better kratom.. and reputations. Top 40 Vendors

Immediately upon posting the update on Gaias facebook page, I noticed the site content and had to call him out. I believe he took at least the Kratom guide down.

Assuming nobody here cares enough to try gaias "new menu", let me know if somebody decides to test a strain or two. The prices are back to a reasonable market but I can't bring myself to test them out lol

I ordered 250 grams of Purple 8 in 1 and a bottle of the "Bliss" blue lotus caps, I recieved it today and my order was doubled. Haven't tried them yet but the extras were real generous?

Huh, that's curious, pretty generous. I wouldn't say I'm interested in an 8in1 strain, kind of prefer blends that have no more than 3 in them.

With the exception of maybe one bad batch, I have always enjoyed Gaia's reds. (I only really do reds though I like whites.) The past two batches of reds I've had have been absolute garbage I don't know what's up.

I will never go back to them Gaia or whatever name they use now. Didn't takr kratom for over a year because I was a severe junky. I got clean and waited 4 months to use kratom again for bad fibro pain, hoping my tolerance reset.

I had a few Gaia strains from a while back that I dipped into while waiting for a 150 4split kilo. There was some BS on the website about shipments being seized and he'll lower prices when it gets sorted out. Anyway it worked ok, especially the first few times but had a pretty dirty feeling. I figured it was my tolerance still not being reset, but after a month of messing around with the new strains and just feeling awful side effects from them, i got worried it wasnt going to work for me (which was scary cause i would be screwed for pain management).

Figured I'd try 3 new vendors last week and they're all working like a charm by comparison. I suggest staying away from that gaia or mitragia.
PS i've seen tons of people posting the same thing about gaia on reddit but the posts always get deleted.

I don't ever post about anything, but I thought this was warranted. Please know I'm a newbie. I got an order from MitraG just a few weeks ago. It was a white. Terrible. At first I thought it was me. But this stuff wouldn't go down in a toss and wash. Sticks. Then, immediately nausea. First, and second time, I thought it was me. Pretty stupid, I know. Then the third time I upped my usual.. It all came back up. I'm a vet to Kratom, since 2006, so I'm not a newbie to the plant. I tried to contact them, thinking maybe they didn't know about the batch. And, I had concern for others. I got nothing. Everything in the past was ok. Just not this time. I leave it up to your experiences, and judgement.

Hi, I’m new but need some help. I’m close to 2 years of being a daily Kratom user. I’ve only used Gaia. I’m having severe issues with the new Mitragaia brand/product. I don’t know how to say it - it’s not “working”. I’m in w/d I think, even though I’m still taking Kratom. So I don’t know if it’s weaker, or totally different ingredients or what. But I’m anxious and sweating.
I need to find a new vendor but am afraid that will leave me feeling the same way I feel now. Any ideas? Any vendor recommendations?

There are loads of good vendors here - a list of 40 vendors was posted above. I would recommend - based on my own recent orders - Kats Botanicals, Soulistic Herb, Kraydo Kratom, and Botanical Bunny. KOG is great, but they are backed up.

Somehow i was on their mailing list, maybe from old site when they got my mail. When i received it, didn't think twice, unsubscribed right away. I started to enjoy white Sumatra from sosa. Seem its last very long, 6+ hours , thats for me. Red Elephant definitely a killer for sleep. Did 3 times and want to confirm, best strain for sleep yet that i found. Those are the resent two from sosa i got. Smiley and Liza is awesome too, except they no longer have payments i need. If you have the app and able to pay i would look those 3 vendors first or check from the Ballz list. White Sumatra like i said very uplifting, great pain killing and has long legs, excellent for morning. And Red Elephant for sleep for night time, or just to chill after work until it knocks you out, and you sleep like a baby.

Just wanted to update! I ordered some socal, first time trying anything other than Gaia. OMG!! Totally regretting playing it safe the last 1.5 years. I feel AMAZING! Clean, went down smooth. Can’t even describe the relief I am feeling, I thought I was ruined. Turns out wasn’t me, it was the new Gaia. Yippee! Thanks everyone for your help!

haha this is great to hear! Gaia was booted OFF the Vendor List, around a year ago following many, many, complaints of POOR quality. There are now, over 200+ Online Vendors of kratom.. many are scammers. Beware of fancy websites! Some of the BEST vendors, have very simple websites.

wow I can't understand why its not working for you all and so sorry to hear. I must say I've had only great experiences with MitraGaia. The customer service is awesome, shipping and they're kratom has really helped me. I have so much pain and debilitating depression and they're stuff knocked both out and I had a very high tolerance before and with MitraGaia kratom I was able to lower it immensely! I dosed between 4 to 8 grams 4 times a day and with MitraGaia I'm way down to 3-4 grams 2 or 3 times daily. Oh and the sleep I'm getting with the reds is great. I also have or had insomnia. MitraGaia's reds fixed that too. I slept like a baby now. I also toss n wash and I don't have any problem at all with it. However I did with the kratom I won last spring (a different vendor) I choked on theirs. And theirs were way over priced @49.99 quarter kilo? I went back to MitraGaia fast easy so happy and relieved when I got my order from them. I love they're kratom especially their Green Dragon, green Malay and red sunda and all of them! I'm sad that y'all have had bad experiences with them tho. I've also never went into withdrawals with any kratom that Ive had from even the vendors that didn't work for me. That sounds scary.

Well, this is a pretty old thread so Gaia has prolly bought and sold 10 tons since then, glad to hear that is working for ya bud!

First post...but here it goes:

I feel like mitragaia is a hit or miss, and especially the problem that you will buy sampler packs and then get a larger amount of the powder and the quality does not match up, regardless of if it is the same batch. I also think that there are a few good consistent strains on there, mainly gold Bali. Glad to have found this forum though and don’t have to order through them anymore.
