wOw, thats the MOST selection I've ever seen at RVA... here let me break it down for ya:
Kali = Borneo = Forest = Jungle = Hulu! ALL harvested same area of West Kalimantan, Borneo, Indonesia.
Asia / Wild / BigBang = ALL brand names, from different Indo suppliers, who all know each other.
Then you've got the Bali's .. blended Bali Recipe? Green Aceh = the only 1 that's supposedly NOT from Borneo? Royal Bent, his most fermented strain. And.. of course Maeng Da - which "used to be" the best, strongest, leaf ?? Now means.. basically nothing

woah!!! really? thats great info man! also kinda explains (i think) why my favorite reds have been the premium red borneo, red hulu and super red kali. interesting stuff.

Really hard to read the tea leaves in the RVA FB group. Two people came out sincerely endorsing the latest Green Kali. There is so much unintentional bias in these pronouncements. It met their expectations and theyre happy. They havnt tried everything of course and to each his own. Kratom is so hard to buy. The Green Kali is probably good but I don't know if its exceptional like better than the Green Big Bang for example. Green Forest as well seems a solid mid-range green like G Asia. So you have to pick from BigBangs, SuperGreen #3, Malay, Aceh, etc. some whites (MD. Wild, Bali,Kali, Asia, Forest, Horn) and yellows (Indo, Malay, MD, Hula) All kinds of Reds. In all quite a selection for the off=season.
Putting together a split kilo is an individual thing especially in the off season. I would probably order White BB, Green BB, Super Green and a red, maybe Bali. Reds seem weaker to me this time of year and the best available leaf is in the white/green category in my opinion. Happy hunting!

Just to put this out there swab that's all based on opinion as well.... For me personally I don't like the Green Big Bang, it has too much speed to the point of giving me jitters and unbearable anxiety. So, you also have to take into account an individual body chemistry as well as reasons for and needs for using that specific strain to begin with. So saying that it's hard to believe that Green Kali or Forest or any new strain is that great or not possibly on par with/better than current trending favorites is totally subjective. There are even plenty of popular strains that a lot of people say are a daytime red and they are some of my favorite bedtime reds to battle insomnia.... Long story short everyone is different, everyone is entitled to their opinions and observations. I have gotten great recommendations from the RVA group, it is an awesome resource if it's a vendor you use often especially!
Thats exactly right Ace and very well put! Completelyt subjective. That was kind of my point, though not very well made. "To each his own". Thats what I meant when I said putting "a kilo together is an individual thing" Everyone has their own bias and biochemistry. Yet we wait on reviews and are always looking for direction when buying Kratom. You know yourself very well and that's important. What do you usually order?

Nice list. I wonder why we dont categorize ourselves as a type just to get some objectivity into it. I'm with you on the reds. Havent seen the Red Bent in awhile. Ive bought winter reds/yelloows/golds from RVA Ive have been disapointed so I tread lightly. Have you bought so far this past winter? I like all your midrange greens too. I go with the faster ones and blend, Truth is its all good leaf. Good luck with your order!
I have been ordering. Over the winter yes but honestly I have done more experimenting and branching out with other vendors this winter than I have been buying RVA. Not that I have had much problem with RVA for any reasons mostly just to test the waters, try something new, see what some. Of the hype is about, and give my tolerance a break from RVA leaf a bit better. I have ordered from Kraydo Organics 2 or 3 times with great success as well as SOSA twice now with very good luck there too! I have a little bit of Okie leaf from last year still that was decent and I tried KOG last year but didn't like very much of the numerous samples I got there.... But as we have said that's just me! How about you anywhere else you have been enjoying?!

Yes, This forum is giving good information about other vendors right now and Ive branched out a little too. I try to do most of my buying during the summer and I still have a lot of reserve but I always worry the FDA is going to come along and cut us off. Not rational but Kratom keeps really well so why not.
Ive went with KOG recently and I'm very happy with what I've gotten so far though I haven't tried it all. The Green Malawi is really nice. I think it fits in with your favorite Greens. And the Red Tanaga fits in with your Reds very nicely. At first they weren't fast enough for me but I did appreciate their mood boosting qualities. The Botas are faster and great if you like that. Ive bought a few KOG yellows but haven't broken into it yet. I've enjoyed the Yellow Indo from RVA like you and still have some left. The KOG's white Aur is an excellent white maybe too much on the fast side for some but very balanced for a white. I bought a half SoCal Red Bali this morning. Sounds like a classic Red Bali. I'd like to support SoCal with the ridiculous trouble they're having in PA recently.

I love the jungle red and green and no I’m not in the honeymoon stage. If anything I have high tolerance so if I say something is good, generally it’s good. Ofcourse body chemistry ect...... just my opinion ofcourse.
yeah I finally tested 'em all a few times. Green & Red Jungle are OK, the White is just very average kratom. No big hurry, to jump on that White imho .. And I have a dozen other good Whites to compare. BUT! Someone on RVA's MeWe Group, posted "The White Jungle is AMAZING!!!" .. the other day
No. It's definitely NOT amazing... Unless you're brand NEW to kratom. And... yep. Lots & lots of n00bs there in RVA's Group.. Word got around on Facebook over the past year.. I remember when it was like: RVA ?? who? $63 kilos huh ? Last summer, when Jon re-stocked and said he'd gotten 200 orders that 1 evening.
They are wild harvesting (for example) from the Nanga Pinoh / Melawi forest area, groves of 100 foot tall trees... Those trees get topped, THEN of course the "true" Old Growth jungle kratom gets watered down, diluted, and mixed with common Plantation leaf... So its really up to each Supplier, how much of that super potent, wild harvest, top leaf gets into the final product.

I passed on the Forest strains too - and I wish i had passed on the Jungles. I got all 3 and none of them were very good to me. I had just received my White BigBang and it was awesome so I figured what the hell?
RVA’s White Bali has always been my favorite strain from them (Red Hulu’s a close second), but I haven’t ordered it since last summer. It was one strain that was great last winter while quality seemed to decline everywhere and across the board. Has anyone tried it recently and has it been any good?
It’s probably just my chemistry. My favorite greens from RVA are from older batches- Green BigBang (the very first batch), Super Green 2 (also the first batch) are probably tops. I have a couple Green Vietnams from them that are really good (but a lot faster). Also a couple of the Wild Greens were very good. Everyone used to love his Green Hulu, but it didn’t really do a lot for me. I guess my chemistry may be a little contrary to the norm.
What’s crazy is rva greens are great for my body chemistry! I get nothing from his reds except a red Bali I got back last summer. This crazy plant ya gotta love it
Yeah, RVA’s reds are about the same for me. Most of them just don’t work for me. But, to be fair, most vendor’s reds don’t work for me. I’ve got 1 Red Bali from them that was good. One batch of RVA Red Hulu i have is very good. Then i like the very first batch of Red BigBang. I have about 15 (or more) other reds from them that do nothing for me. Oh, I forgot- i do have a really good batch of Royal Bent too. I think I just got burned out on RVA. I basically bought everything they stocked from Jan 2018 through August 2018. I have a LARGE collection of RVA leaf. But then again, I have a LARGE collection of Smiley’s, Liza’s, Botanical Bunny, Johnson’s, ...
