Hi Everyone,

I am a big supporter of SoCal, no one comes close to their customer service and quality control. That said I have been having some issues with the product lately, don't seem to get much effect anymore. Ive heard HH has great quality but the prices are so high. Its important that the vendor is transparent about their testing and quality control.

Curious if anyone else has had similar experiences.

I too appreciate SoCal, but I have to be honest and say that not all of their stuff goes toe to toe with some of the other vendors. It also looks like they might be changing ownership? Their site says they're moving to Florida in a month or so and they will be changing their name.

Happy Hippo, like many vendors, has some good stuff, but not all of it is quality. I recently tried an ounce of their Top Shelf Bali, and it was garbage. Also, like you mentioned... Their prices are freaking outrageous! Personally I really like their Red Super Indo, but I have a hard time paying what they ask.

I can't attest to everybody's testing and QC, but I recently tried Mitraman. I tried four strains and all of them were awesome (red borneo, red bali, red sumatra, gold sumatra). As far as the big vendors go I've had great success with Krabot. I've tried 11 strains from Krabot, and liked all of them. I also tried a couple of strains from Christopher's Organic Botanicals not too long ago. I know they test their stuff and put results on their website. I enjoyed the two strains that I've tried from there.

I guess what I'm getting at is Happy Hippo may have some alright stuff, but you can get better stuff for a fraction of the cost from countless vendors. I would not recommend HH to anybody simply because they are greedy, and because they play the role of someone who takes advantage of newcomers that know no better. Give Mitraman a try... You won't be disappointed

No. "Hippo Rippo" is not an option, for experienced kratomites .. Look it up on Reddit. Hippo is a scam to attract newbies with their "cute" little website...

There are now 100's of kratom vendors online - Around half, sell average kratom for high prices. They are profiteers! Some are connected to retail head-shops, again, it's been a huge rip-off with big profit margins - All part of the Legal High industry. Selling "shots" and stoner products to the kiddies.. Kratom is now, the #1 Internet Scam, to fool people into buying, way over priced powder in a bag... Good ole' American Capitalism, taking advantage of people and grabbing their money

We started this ( Vendor List ) on Reddit 2 years ago, to HELP newbies find good kratom... These are only suggestions. I mean its a free market, definitely spend your $ where ever.. Most vendors sell average kratom.

In early 2017 after the DEA scare, several online vendors began selling good quality, at reasonable prices. Socal Herbal Remedies has been a large, respected, source and they do get some excellent product...

Thanks, I have tried Krabot before too, but I was taken back when I emailed them asking for lab results. They said they distribute there test results, which seems odd. They also do not claim to conduct any testing on their website.

I guess that makes sense. I've never asked for any lab results, and at the same time have never seen anything on their site claiming they test their product. For their prices I kind of feel that it should be implied that they test for certain things. Guess not

My very first introduction to kratom was with Happy Hippo. Currently my fave vendors are Benni's and MitraMan. Happy Hippo is outrageous price wise but I'm still happy i had found them. They turned me on to what ended up being a life saving leaf for me.
