I've been a lurker for a few months, and this will be my first review. I want to start by saying that Double M has been the single most helpful resource for all the kratom info I've been searching for, what a great community!

Since this is my first review, I'll start by providing a little background info. I'm in my mid twenties and I've been using kratom for about 11 months now. I spent about 4-5 years addicted to prescription opiates (mostly oxy) and after a stent in rehab, I spent 1 year on suboxone. I discovered kratom when searching the web for tips on getting off of suboxone and began using it immediately after my last dose. For about 6 months, I got kratom solely from the two headshops in my area - almost exclusively a brand called Remarkable Herbs. 3 months ago I finally tried some online vendors: Simply Kratom, Christopher's Organic Botanicals, and Botanical Bunny. My normal dose is between 5-6 grams and I dose 3 times a day. I'll be using the traditional 1-10 scale.

Gold 12 lot 1911
Beautiful, dark red color with a sweet smell and even taste!

Euphoria: 8/10
Nice, warm and fuzzy feeling that creeps up on you until reaching it's glorious peak after about 1.5 hrs. The main effect I seek from kratom, it's lovely with this one!

Pain Relief: 9/10
Probably the highlight of this strain for me. Completely knocks out the nerve pain from my herniated disc and the relief lasts around 3.5 hrs.

Energy/Focus: 6/10
Definitely doesn't put me to sleep, but this is a more relaxing strain. Still a good day time burn if you blend it with a white or green.

Mood Lift: 7/10
Not sure if this should be combined with the Euphoria category, but i view mood lift separately, more of a social effect IMO. This one is more of a "chill" strain to me, perfect for relaxing
after work or on the weekend.

Overall: 8/10
One of my new favorite strains from my new favorite vendor. I'm always excited to get home and get a dose of the Gold 12. A very euphoric and pain relief strain that helps me relax
and relieves anxiety. Definitely recommend this one.

I hope this is an informative and helpful review to anyone who sees it. Any feedback from you guys is very welcome! Do you like one whole post devoted to a single strain or should I bunch strains from the same vendor together? Let me know what you think!

Thanks for the review, I think it'd be good for you to review a bunch of strains in the same thread. Furthermore you may want to cut the descriptions down to a paragraph instead of making 5 diff ones for each strain.

Just had to say I too started my journey with remarkable herbs from headshops and it was enough to get me off of everything too.. I did google reviews etc etc until double m and I love kratom forum and quickly saw what I was missing out on with dozens of new vendors to try for fraction of what I was spending and quality in another league. Now I’m rotating a bunch and even the bags and bags collecting dust I will rediscover and will be nice... glad to hear you turned it around... I am always trying new and at the moment I’m utilizing sosa mitra Oregon inland insense dg lucky and cycling agmatine dlpa turmeric and added akuamma blue lotus and cats claw with 4% alkaloids and that really works great... great hearing this thank you

I've got a bag of cats claw from mountainroseherbs along with tumeric for tea, have you noticed that they effect tolerance at all? Do you take the cats claw in extract form or do you make tea

That's awesome to hear! I hope we can spread enough real information about this plant to make sure it stays available for people in the position we were in. This has been the only time in my life where I haven't even had cravings for the old stuff; it's truly changed my life.

I actually take about 2g doses and I heard some people talking about how stuff won’t work and then next thing you know it’s working again and basically that’s what goes on with me... rotating vendors strains and cycling agmatine turmeric etc for few days... cats claw is natures way 4% capsules and it enhances for me... so I was greens then yellow gold and now I’m getting really good results doing reds... all works out somehow:) I will have a few days once in awhile that I panic scramble because not working then it comes back switching vendors even lowering dose etc but it’s probably just time and change ...
