Mitra Man Pre-View

Hi all, I'm glad to be a part of this new community. I'm much more casual about kratom these days, but I was once a tester for several major vendors, and as such I've had the chance to try a massive variety of leaf. I tend to enjoy leaf that's not too "high-spec." I'm very picky and only keep true standouts in my collection. Quite a lot of bags have ended up in the trash over the years.

Most new leaf is very challenging to evaluate precisely. It can be fickle and there are tons of variables at play in an ultimately subjective experience. I'm happy to say this was not the case for Mitra Man's Yellow MD. I saw the hype for it here, I decided to try it myself, and after a single burn I'm confident that all of the 9/10 and 10/10 reviews are spot on. This is about as good as kratom gets. Clean-feeling without a hint of anxiety or other unwanted effects. VERY potent. Hits all the buttons I look for in a more relaxing strain, including some I forgot I even had. I'm very much looking forward to exploring it again soon.

Yellow MD: 9+/10. I'll revisit it to see whether it truly deserves a 10/10 in my followup review.

My first order for Mitra Man also included:

-Green JK
-Red JK
-Gold Borneo
-Premium MD

I'll be posting a full-length review of all of the above in a week or so once I've had a chance to familiarize myself properly.

Lastly, I'd like to thank Mitra Man for his excellent customer service. He went above and beyond to help me as a new customer.

Hey bob, were you on kcforums back in the day when DG was first getting started as a vendor? The name stands out as familiar, if so I am glad you made it to double m!
Mitraman has some excellent leaf! I have loved his green jongkong, PMD, red Thai, red MD, and gold Borneo. They are all top notch!
He is testing some new reds that are incredible green reds and I put them up there with almost any vendors reds. I think one will be a red horn and I’m not sure about the other; they should be available sometime in the next few weeks, so definitely be watching for those!

Yes Luk3, I was on kc back when it was more active, along with a couple of others before that. I didn't think I'd find another old timer so soon. ;)

Lol, add me to the list as a former KCF member. Fond memories of HB&M, Ethnos Unlimited, and DG when they were in their prime. I also used to test for DG and for EU.

Labdog is here too...

Hb&m was awesome back in the day! I still have some wild elephant kapuas I use occasionally. I also have some red horn Borneo and red MD. Leaping leaf was another one that I loved. Timeless red Thai may be my favorite red ever. I wish I still had access to that one. Well it is good to hear from you guys!

Leaping Leaf is still around, just FYI...I do miss the old KCF heydays...That place was jumping during the first Ban Scare, haha

I still get robs emails, but I haven’t ordered in years. I have heard the quality is still there. It’s hard to beat many of the vendors we have now though.

I still have gems from Hb&M, that was my go too back in the days.. I finished Green Borneo with pride. A little of that went long way. only 1-3 grams rocked the world. 4g and over would start to put you to sleep. I made capsules and would use 2 or 3 m thats 1.5g, for energy boost or when needed. Super clean fast energy with euphoric kick. I have a feeling thats how some TFH kratom is, like white vietnam. Its not like the more you consume the better you feel. Some kratom need to be respect and taken at low dose. Some you can increase up to 6-8 grams to feel super good with out sleep effect/ best way to find out with all kratom is test your limits and find the sweet spot for that specific batch. Also Hb&M back in days had emerald green borneo? well, it was on sale and it was super duper fire, i have no clue why he put it on sell, good thing i still got some of that.. Since he was mentioned, i am go back and see what i got left from him. (Its always fun to check vintage) Also i did buy when he re-opened and want to confirm quality is still there (left some reviews to somewhere here if you search Hb&M). But these days there are also very good guilty that beat his prices.

I even bought microsecond Green Elephant from moodandmind for 300$ once. It is super duper good, but 7ohm had it for 80$? and its very similar except its not micronized powder almost up there what moodandmind had over priced back in the day. This why i love this forum, quality at a reasonable price. My next order will be something new from Mitraman, I dont think i dabbled into his reds and i hear good things. Soon.. Once people realize they were over paying, they will get mad.

Sure some might stand out a little bit more for over pay but that's rare, its all same or very similar from my experience. Rare case like KTC who had some fire batch. I only got Red Borneo and its still the best for relaxing, shows, youtube, chilling out, i havent found anything similar, but i hear they have new kratom and its not as strong how they had old vintage. This why i understand, something was different back in the days that had potent leaf, not like it is these days but seems vendors are catching on to it and trying to perfect it when in touch with source. Like Gumby is awsome example.

But if anyone here have any advice for next reds from mitraman, i am open to it, let me know! :)

Hi everyone. I joined the forum just a few days ago and this is actually my first post. It’s nice to be here and this seems like a very friendly community.

I received my first order from Mitra Man today and I’m looking forward to trying my purchases. He has some great reviews so I’m pretty excited about it.

I was reading through some threads and saw the mention of HB&M and Leaping Leaf! (Yeah, I’ve been using kratom a long time and those are two names I haven’t heard in a while). So, I decided to look through my stash and low and behold I found some HB&M Emerald Borneo (I bought it during that sale also!). I also found some Leaping Leaf Good Day Sunshine and his Red Bali. I always loved the names that LL came up with for his blends. I definitely have to revisit that Emerald Borneo, GDS and Red Bali soon! I don’t think I have touched it in at least three years.

It’s good to be here! I just wanted to say hi and I will properly introduce myself when I have a few seconds. Have a great weekend everyone.

Bird, from what i can remember, Emerald Borneo is more on a fast side. I used the whole kilo while working at amazon for 2 years some years ago. I was packing those boxes like a mad man. But my dose was 3 grams start shift in morning and drink guayusa leaf tea i made at home for the rest of the shift, that worked out very well. Guayusa just leveled out and extended that good feel vibe. And i would use 2 or 3g of red to chill at home sometimes but not always to keep my tolerance in check. and would go taking breaks from it every week by taking hot baths and feeling mild fatigue and loss of energy, but that was extremely mild, not even noticeable. I did that every week, and when work started i felt extremely strong hits from emerald borneo. If i had to fill all the box's on all stations, i am the man they called. I had super duper speed and i knew everyone on every stations. I think even some till this day cause of me started using kratom because some needed something badly that helped. Example, there were people that their meds were cut off. I remember their one guy who had extreme anxiety and always looked at floor when working but once you get to talking, he was social but not as much. once i introduced kratom, next thing i noticed he never looked at floor and got him self a girlfriend at work. just few examples, not going to write all of them how much it helped everyone. Emerald Borneo was the shit. i think its possible to get wobbles from higher dose from it or mess with your eyes but if taken at sweet spot, it was extremely amazing. Just dont over do it, if have too, you can mix it with some reds to slow it down a bit. Play around with it with caution.

Hi again everyone, I'm finally done with my full review. Let's get straight to it!

Yellow MD: When it hits just right, it's everything I described in the OP. However, I found it's particularly finicky for me: much more reliant on a good night's sleep and clean burner than most other strains. When I get it right though, it's possibly my all-time favorite.
10/10 when it works. 9/10 overall for being a little less reliable than I'd like.

Green JK: They aren't kidding about the color. This is the brightest batch of leaf I've ever seen. If it weren't for the look, I would swear this is a red - heavy, long-lasting, and very relaxing. Almost as good as the yellow MD, but more reliable. Don't burn this in the morning if you have a busy day!
9/10.

Premium/Plantation MD: Exactly what you'd expect from a good specimen of this variety. Strong, clean energy. Gives a nice kick to any blend when you need to get things done, but is also very enjoyable on it's own without causing any of the discomfort associated with "faster" strains. Plenty of pain relief to boot.
A find like this is actually super rare for me. I will definitely be getting this again, along with both of the above.
9/10

Golden Borneo: A solid, reliable, middle-of-the-road leaf. Perfect if you want a no-frills, predictable, and comfortable experience. Doesn't excel in any one area as much as the above leaf, but it's probably the most well-rounded.
8/10

Red JK: I tried this leaf 3 times in decreasing amounts and then then blends, and unfortunately I had the same result every time: Anxiety, irritability, and excessive amounts of energy. Based on what I've seen here, my result is atypical, but I have to be honest.
This happens relatively often for me, so don't assume this is bad leaf. Just be wary if you are highly sensitive to some "faster" strains like me.
0/10. Will not burn this again.

I will definitely be careful with that Emerald Borneo when I pick it up again. I’m pretty sure I have some other “vintage” strains from HB&M.
I’m glad kratom helped your co-worker. It can help in so many ways - I hope it is never banned.
Thanks for the heads up about the Emerald Borneo. It’s been a long time and I needed the memory refresh!

Leaping Leaf’s Timeless Red Thai is another one that I enjoyed too. He’s still around. A friend of mine recently ordered from him, but I’m not sure he still makes his blends. Cherry Bomb was another good blend. He had quite a few good blends and I loved the page of descriptions of them that he would email out. Good memories!

My wife and I got three 250g bags, Malay, Bali, Chocolate Bent. It's our first order from MM, we very excited after all the great reviews. But it just is not hitting, none of them will red bubble when froze. Malay which usually works best for me has little effect other then what a cup of coffee would do. Bali is the best of the three but it takes 8 grams to get anywhere. Maybe it's just us, we started using Kratom a year and a half ago. Im a bit disappointed as we wont be able to purchase anything else for at least two weeks due to finances. Has anyone else gotten Kratom that wont bubble when froze, I understand that this is the way to check potency. It just wasn't nearly what we expected. We were buying Gaia, then got an order from SoFlo which was very good. But wanted to try Mitra Man after all the reviews. Like I have heard before, everybody's experience is different.

Honestly the bubble can be deceiving at times.... I have had plenty of doses that hit wonderfully that didn't create the greatest red bubble by any means. It seems to me after a couple years of experimenting with different methods of dosing that the red bubble may be produced by just 1 or 2 of the many alkaloids present in Kratom or maybe even just the right combos of certain ones or something.

How many times have you tried those 3 MM strains and have you varied dosage??? For some people, it's necessary to use strains a handful of times and get your body used to a new alkaloid profile.... don't give up on it yet, as many people here including myself can most def attest to the quality of MM's leaf!

Good luck with everything hope it all works out. Please keep us posted.

We got it last Tue, thru the work week I will dose twice a day. once around 5pm and then a little more around 8pm. I mean it's by no means junk, I was hoping though I could back off my reg 8g doses to around 5 or 6g with the MM. It's the first time I tried Chocolate bent, and it does seem to relax us a bit. The Bali is good, I guess I was hoping for too much. I may even need to lower our dose as sometimes less is more. I am not going to give up on it and we do have a bag of gold borneo coming tomorrow that got missed when it was shipped. I hope we have better luck with that. Thanks for your reply.
Update the Bali we froze this morning did bubble up a little and had the red spots, we are getting ready to try it out. I may have not had the proper ratio of water, powder, lemon juice when I froze it the other day. But of the three today Bali is the only one that did change color with a slight bubble, maybe I make to much out of the whole Freeze thing.

Hi All. I am trying to decide between Mitra Man and Soflo. I love whites and mixed blends. Who is better in your opinion? :)

I love whites too. I bought the white kali and the white maeng da from mitra man.

Both were great!! But completely different In there onset. The WMD hits super fast and loud (in like 20 minutes) and then dissipates after 2 hoursish. Then redose time (for me)

The White Kali takes about an hour to kick in and then ride the wave of semi-energy for 4 hours.

My vote between those 2 would be the WMD. But that's how I like my kratomic energy to hit!!

I just ordered from Mitraman for the first time, and I was going to get Red Horn and Red Elephant, but he highly recommended the Red Thai and I am so glad that he did! The Red Thai. It is fire, but fire taken to the next level beyond fire. Don't know what that is, but whatever it is, it's Mitraman's Red Thai. It's bonkers.

Just tried the Red Elephant for the first time and I'm liking it. Warm buzzy full-body effect.

I recently got the PMD and can attest that it is strong in the uplift department - might be a contender to mix with a red on my next go.
I also tried the Green Malay and really like this one - mellow uplift and very nice mood with some legs

I have the GMD and green JK left to try - so far I am impressed with MitraMan's current stock and good experience ordering!

Did you get the new batch of the green jk or the old one?. I know you had to ask for the new one or you automatically got the old one.

My first time order with MitraMan and no batch numbers - ordered on 3/12. I respond well to decent JongKong's and also Malays, might lend this batch a favor!

I ordered from MM, and good Kratom so. I am a little bummed that I didn't get a sample. I have always gotten a sample from every where I ordered until the last three times, and two of the three didn't send one : (. I guess I have been spoiled to expect one, and maybe this time they are running low because of the virus. I also had to buy 500g instead of kilo, because not sure where my next check will come from, so hurts more.. I know alot of people are hurting because of this sickness, just hope it goes away, and we can get back to regular life. I will give my op of the rest of my order in the next couple of days. For me now days it just works or dosent they all feel about the same just work better or less, sometimes one may feel a little warm. I also will say ordering was easy, and good communication.
Yellow MD: 8/10
Green MD:7.6/10
White JK:8.3/10
Red Thai:7/10

Overall: I wouldnt say the best kratom I have had, but far from the worst. They are worth trying out for yourself to see if it works for you.

Mitra man gave me top notch customer service and suoer fast shipping, I admit I was a little nervous about sending money to an individual but I am very happy I did. I had an extremely rough day at work breaking my back in the georgia heat and I felt terrible when I got home and noticed my mitra man order arrived(after only 3 days) and so I burned 3 teaspoons of gold Borneo and after about 30 minutes I started feeling so much better and so relaxed. I can feel the effects very great and got to say mitra man has really impressed me today.

Id like to know what vendors you keep in your rotation. Mitraman is the only kratom I have out of prob a doz vendors that I can feel after almost 2 yrs daily use
I'm trying to find 4 or 5 more vendors of equal quality as his..to rotate between.

Can u me a list of ur fav top vendors? I'm vendor shopping for 4 or 5 that are as quality as mitraman

Last summer.. 2021 ..i ordered from MM for the first time. I too got no sample OR candy. I was extremely offended. But my sec order ..a year later. About a month ago. I had handfuls of candy and like 6 samples??!! I dunno if its cuz I begged for samples or cuz I complained after my 1st order. I diubt he would remember that a yr later..
