MitraMan 2020, still great quality!

Post by WobbleTrees »

I received my 4-way split key today and just dosed some Gold Borneo. This is an outstanding strain with profound effects. Ive read some reviews about this strain with people mentioning its the closest thing to the "first time" feeling. I can see exactly why they say that.

I got Gold Borneo, Red Bent, Yellow MD, and Green PMD. The green PMD and Yellow MD were repeat purchases, meaning I liked it so much that I bought it again. The Red Bent and Gold Borneo were the only 2 I haven't tried yet so I started off with the Gold Borneo about 30 mins ago and the hype is real!

If anything from MitraMan changed for 2020, its only gone up and not down. Excelent strains!

Alright I hate to say it but its only fair.. I finally came across a strain from MM that just dosent do it for me.. Like, at all.

The PMD, Yellow MD, Gold Borneo are all of excelent quality. But the Red Bent just does not cut it for me. Not even in the slightest bit.

It might be my chemistry because last few times I've had bents from other vendors, they did nothing. And you know its a bent when it has that real earthy rustic flavor and texture. Bents have a completley different taste and color and every time I've had it, its done absolutely zero.

I've gone through 70% </> of MM's menu and everything has been absolutely superb and of high quality. This is the first and only strain from MM I can give a less than satisfactory rating for.

Still a great vendor and still someone I will be purchasing from in the future.

Trying using the Bent to make blends with....first try a 50/50 blend amd then try only 25% bent in the blend and see if you feel any differently. In my opinion, some bents are best or even only used in blends that's all!! But, one thing I do know is the MM Bent is actually one of my more favorite ones at least the 2 batches that I have had already!!

I always have to use bents in blends. I get nothing out of them on their own.

I will try that. Thanks. Maybe it will slow down this TFH White Hulu, which is a potent strain but a bit too fast.

Otherwise I was thinking of throwing it up in the trades sub but I'm not sure how active that sub is ive never been there yet.

Its odd because the bitterness is there 100% in the bent, which is almost synonymous with good leaf from my experience.

From all the years, i find that reds need to be taken the most, then green and take the least for whites. so it goes like this 2.5g for whites, 4g for greens and 6g for reds. If you take red same amount as you take whites then it will be very very mild. on its own any reds need to be increased by gram. On the flip side if you tried that with white 6grams, you would run into wobbles or too fast that can be unconformable. you can over do whites , that's if its a good white. Just some things i noticed and habits, any of you guys similar thoughts?

Red Bents are different. Tried them from many vendors. Potency is the same for all. I use a couple grams if I wake up in the middle of the night. Lets me fall a sleep quicker than a green or red. Thats why I love Red Bents. Good for mixing too.

I ordered some of the red bent from MM and want to respond that I loved it! This is how it is in the world of kratom. It is a very particular Bent. Of all the strains I have tried I would say MM's Red Bent gets you drunk. Like, watching myself have a drunken conversation as I melt into the floor. Yea I bet combined with faster strains it would be marvelous. I find bents used that way bring a 'deep' chicken soup for the soul like warmth.

My wife and I had good results form the Gold Borneo and the Red Bali but not much from the Malay "which in most cases is my favorite strain". Maybe our tolerances are getting on the high side I was expecting too much. We are to the point where it seems no matter what brand it is it all effects us around the same way (even the gas station brands). If I am feeling tired after work it snaps me out of it, but no real mood lift or euphoria. After buying from Gaia for several months we tried SoFlo super green and man it was taking my first dose, mood boost, euphoria, energy. Next time around all they had was super asia and yellow something "I forget now" but they were not that great. So we did a four way split "Kilo" from MM. And I am not knocking it by any means but it just did not seem superior to anything else we ever tried. We will be taking all this kilo before we buy anymore, but will probably go back to SoFlo and hope they have more in stock next time.

Hey there and sorry to hear of your struggles! By the sound of things in this post is seems like one of two different things may work for you to get full effects again.... For one I would say do a taper/break of sorts and then start with half your current dosage to begin re-establishing your lowest possible dose. And orrrrrr number 2 try to obtain and keep more of a variety around that way you can switch it up more and have more.options to make your own blends with as well. This strategy has helped me tremendously for a couple years now as well as many others. Only having 4 strains on hand can really be limiting as well as taxing on ones tolerances. Please reach out if you need any other tips or have questions if be more than happy to help ya out.

Good Luck!!
