TFH - Red Aceh

This strain was the only dud for me out of the 10 I’ve tried during this open event. The first 4 or so times I took it I didn’t feel anything.
...and then suddenly it started working. Each time I’ve taken it since, I’ve grown fonder and fonder of it. The legs are insane. I stop feeling the effects of most strains within an hour (usually dose at 1.5-2 grams) this stuff has been giving me a solid three hours. It’s subtle and sneaks up on me, but then it just coasts forever. Really well balanced; relaxing without being too sedating, but I can easily fall asleep on it.
I hadn’t seen it mentioned on here before so I figured I’d share my two cents.

Interesting, I may have to give it another shot. I Would've rated it a 6.5 or 7 but I've only tried it like 3 times.

Yeah man, it was that 4th/5th time that it started to click for me. Hope it does for you too.

A lot of TFH strains didn’t show themselves to me until burn #3, 4 or 5. I read a lot about people trying a strain once or twice and saying it does nothing for them. I think that’s a mistake, because once TFH leaf works for you it can be very exceptional from then on.
And it’s not just TFH leaf where this happens. It’s somewhat rare that my first time with a new strain is a memorable experience. But by now I know not to write anything off until I give it a fair chance.

Very rarely have I ever had this type thing happen to me. Probably only 2 or 3 times ever did I notice a strain starting to work after more than 2 maybe 3 tries....like the 24k Bali I have now gone thru an entire 100g bag since Thanksgiving trying it again here or there and I don't think I have ever gotten much from it at all. Yet still, many other absolutely love that one. Just the way it goes sometimes...I can't usually tell if a strain is for me or not by the 3rd burn tops.

Burninator,
Congrats on the successful burn especially the Patience involved with that batch too!
5th attempt hit!
After the 3rd lots would just give up
Just shows that if you stick with it anything eventually could hit!

Burn, aka OP!
Would you mind if I asked you about your Tolerance?
I’m fascinated by your burn durations and only lasting about an hour...
Do you think that’s because of such a Low dosage you take or what do you think is causing that!?

Ive been hearing that about TFH strains.
Usually I’ve found that most strains blow me away on my first dose and then for the next several hardly do anything. Then slowly it gets back to around how good the first one was, but seldom truly matches it. Idk why.

I think it’s probably a little of both. For the first year/year and a half, burns usually lasted 2-3 hours easy. I wasn’t taking massive doses back then but they were larger. Probably 3 sometimes 4 grams. It’s kind of annoying that it only lasts around an hour now though. I still try to dose every 2-3 hours, and I don’t get any sort of wds until around 5 hours, but yeah as far as noticeable effects go they’re at least 80% gone by the end of the 1st hour.
I’ve been meaning to take a T break. Haven’t in over a year. I just haven’t been able to talk myself into it yet lol.

Honestly you may not want to hear this or want to do this but adding a half gram or a gram would probably have a significant increase in your burn effects.
An hour long is not long at all and not long enough
My best burns were at 3-4gram and trust me thats not really a lot
Idk this whole “dosing” thing is soo Subjective it really is
I see a lot of people taking between 3-5g and some even 6-7g unfortunately:/ and I say that because thats where I am currently - @ 6g. Haha
I dont see a lot of ppl using 1-2g but I applaud the ppl that do and I know this may be a tricky topic but (IT MIGHT HELP) It might... to try an increase in dose size.
Maybe just try it and see if your burn has increased in a better and more whole burn all around?
Best of luck!

OR! Or...
Use better leaf! Lol
Thats another answer
TFH is great no question about it but using other great vendors is key for solid burns.

I’ve been slowly inching my way up the last few days. Typically dosing around 2.3g. The effects have been a little more noticeable and do last slightly longer, but I’m leery of going too high because the times I have in the past my tolerance would invariably end up skyrocketing and the diminished returns I’d get with the effects never made it worth it.
Idk. I get pretty consistently strong effects at my dose range and have been able to stay low for a long time. The duration has definitely been the one thing I’ve been able to watch consistently go downhill. Part of it, honestly, is my nicotine addiction. That tends to counteract some of the pleasant effects. I’m weening off of that though so we’ll see how much it actually does shorten the legs.
Appreciate the tip though. I’ll probably keep experimenting and see if I can find a better sweet spot that’s still within the same ballpark.
Oh yeah, I do use high quality leaf and I rotate strains/vendors all throughout the day.
