Add one to the list of Mitraman reviews- Gold Sumatra

I don't think it is a coincidence that Mitraman is getting good reviews as of late. I've been ordering for a little while now and his quality has been consistently fabulous as is the service. As of late however, current and new offerings are REALLY a cut above and exceptional even by Mitraman's established standard.

So far what I've really enjoyed in very recent history included Yellow Sunda, Gold Borneo, Red Elephant and Red Horn (fantastic daytime red). All of those qualify as very effective in a cozy, safe relief fashion. Yellow MD has proven to be mid-fast, clean and bright daytime comfort burn.

But as of last week I tripped over the Red and Gold Sumatra (which I would assume qualifies as current batch). These are the strains that really prompted this review.

Red Sumatra is just a totally solid knock-out blanket strain for me. A weighty ride into satisfying rest for sure, with pleasant mood humming in the background just as one might hope for in late evening selection.

Gold Sumatra however, is the star of the show in my book. Still slow in body or mid at best, similar to the Red Sumatra but without the knock-out. Provides a lot more space in the experience for the "happy" to take center stage, with enough duration to really savor the flavor.

Both of these have a unique enough signature to warrant this write up with their staying-power. Coming on slow to build in effect and last long are hallmarks here.

To expand on a full-review though it must be noted that Mitraman himself is a gem in his own right. Very strict quality control and care is evidenced by his constant interactions on the day to day via Mewe. Demonstrative of how much dedication goes into making sure you don't stand risk of getting any product that is lesser-than no matter you're choices, which in turn makes the wide-variety remarkable. Quick to help and down to earth are the qualities that round out, what I've found to be an extremely kind and SOLID dude.

I think a simple bottom line of "order with confidence... but don't miss out on the newest additions" is what I'm trying to convey here aside from my individual and subjective love of the two Sumatra.

SIDENOTE: liked em so much I naturally HAD to get a white sumatra in the mail and on the way

I have not had his present batch of PMD I don't believe, unless it's the same as it was a few months back.

I did have the PMD back from March/april and found it a very enjoyable mid-fast -pep in my step- sort of selection albeit not my favorite from that timeframe as that was when gold borneo stole the show from that order! Lol

From his present menu and most recent updates his green Malay is superb!! Slow-mid uber-happy-mellow, spot on type of awesome. Admittingly I have not tried a great many of his well regarded present-tense selections but I could not imagine anyone being unhappy with this GM

I absolutely love his current PMD. Moderate energy but at the same time relaxing, mood lift, and body buzz.

I'm also a fan of his Red Sumatra and Red Horn.

I've been enjoying the Green Kapuas so worst case you still have some solid leaf coming.

Though I'm definitely adding Gold Sumatra to my order after reading this :D

I'm sorry I meant his gold maeng da. I just recieved it and wow great body buzz. I freaking love this site I use to just google vendors and get a list and try them one by one hoping one would be consistent. Then I found this site. Peoples first hand experiences are way more accurate for good kratom. thank you it saved me so much money on bunk kratom. Also give kats dark elephant a try but dose it a little higher.

Ironically, my answer is still the same as it was with PMD

Had the Gold MD a minute ago on the same order and found it a fine blender for my night time concoctions. By itself I noted it to be a wee bit too slow and mild for a daytime and I do prefer something yet more sedating for rest. What I noted then was it rounded out any greens or whites I found to be alarmingly stimulating imparting a strong side of bodily relaxation and more organized thinking.

This is fine in my book. Sometimes I find the BEST role my yellow's/Gold's is enhancing a blend. My best burns have historically been Gold +____ but not every Gold fits the bill as some may just dominate the whole experience.

And now YOU'RE report makes me wanna hop on the current GMD- LOL!! I've really wanted an excuse to put together another order because at this point it is abundantly clear the newest iterations are all a cut above- one could speculate these strains may have benefit from some fiiiine weather (dry weather perhaps??) :geek:
