A few great ones from TFH

Hi, there. I haven't been posting much recently (and for a while, wasn't using much Kratom while I figured some medical stuff out). But I wanted to mention a few great /potent TFH batches that I haven't seen reviewed here (though I may have just missed them). My dose size was aprox. 1.5-1.8g for all of these, btw.

Afterburner Bali: Mk-SD7: For me, this is probably one of the best TFH batches I've ever had, and definitely one of my favorite whites. It is notably upbeat, though not super-fast or jittery; just terrific energy with a bit of warmth in there. Extremely potent. I was also surprised at how well it worked for my lower back pain, not something I'm used to from a white. But when people say, "my pain just melted away", that's the description that fits, and it held me for at least 4 hours. That fact that the pain relief was there along with energy and moodlift was really amazing for me. 10/10

Yellow Bali Reserve: A36-SDY: The more yellows I try from TFH, the more I realize that they really agree with me, starting with the Wild Yellow Samarinda from 2020 and Yellow Borneo (from 2021, I think). But the YBR is really fantastic - super potent, big moodlift (a little like the yellow borneo), but with a bit more energy than the other yellows I've tried from them. Upper mid-spec for me. A little bit pain relief, too; just enough to take the edge off. 9/10

Old School Green Horn: A7-SD7C: For me, this was a mid-spec green with a bit of energy to it and a lot of just feelgood. Unlike the above two, which hit hardest for me the first 3 times I tried them, this one took me a couple of tries to hit a groove. When I did, I found it to be yet another of those TFH strains that has a very unique feel to it; good vibes and maybe even a bit of anxiety relief as well. When I've mixed it with whites (the current Wild White Vietnam and an older batch of 30 Year Wild White), that good mood stuff was still there but definitely a faster experience with lots of presence. 8/10

Those three are my current favorites, though I also love the Top Shelf Green MD MUK-IRC7 and Get 'er Done Green A7-19C, which feels exactly like what its name suggests :)

Have a good Sunday!

Thanks for the reviews!

I have the Green Horn and have to agree - it is one my favorite TFH Greens, not too energetic but lots of mood lift and mind settling, very smooth :D
The Yellow Samarinda from 2020 - another favorite of mine!
I mix the Top-Shelf with the Super Green Muna for a nice mood lift :)

That Top Shelf Green MD is really great stuff. It was one of the ones I tested and I'm rationing my samples out, lol.

Out of everything on the menu I've actually tried that is currently on the menu, my #1 is Top Shelf Red MD and my #2, Great Bali of Fire.

Another great yellow you can add to that list is Blonde Borneo! Such a great burn in the morning. Hits kinda like a white without the edge. Also slow white is phenomenal!

Yes! Lots of good ones that all of you mention……The GBOF hits really well for me too (I don’t always do so well with reds, so that’s been a nice surprise), and I just ordered the Blonde Borneo yesterday so I’m totally psyched to hear that you liked it so much, Josh.

Oh my goodness, did not know a sale was on with TFH. TFH Yellow Aceh KG24 was a hit for me. Calms anxiety and such focus! I'm on crumbs right now! I Am Looking For ANY of the TFH Yellow Aceh KG24 if anyone has any they want to part with; preferably bigger the better. Also the Mellow Yellow PMD is great in the evenings or day...it makes me smile. Low on it too. Also the 30yr Wild Super Green is great for energy but not much pain relief. I buy for Pain Relief of my Fibromyalgia and RA. For sure looking for ANY of the TFH Yellow Aceh KG24. Out of the 2K I bought, not much else sadly, was a standout and some just Duds each time I tried. I'm a 1.2 to 2g at most each dose, several times a day. Double M Herbals is a blessing of knowledge for me and I am grateful! :D :)

The latest Mello Yellow is a phenomenal anxiolytic. Just the perfect yellow in my opinion. I liked the old one too but this one takes the cake.

You are totally spot on, friend! My Mel Yellow will last me quite a while with my rotations. AND Yeppers, the M. Yellow does take and the icing, Lol! Smiley Time now has a sale this weekend so I'm getting WGBota and Yellow Ache and some others from there. Prayers the YA is as good or hey, even better would make me smile even more! :D

Speaking of yellows, if you get the chance to try the yellow Bali reserve you won't be disappointed. This is a perfect example of how a yellow should be. Gives you that feeling of contentment like the world is ok. Which we all know is not the case. 😂 Long legs, fresh taste. Probably one if the best yellows I've had the pleasure of trying.

The Yellow Bali Reserve has become a favourite yellow - even gaining a spot in my morning rotations - nice feelings with a clear head and hints of energy :D

I found the Green Hangat Suma VSOP to be very pleasant, to the point I actually think of it as amiable. Under the right circumstances, it might suit you really well. Ha, a quick search showed that I contributed my 2 cents in a thread about it.

Does anyone know when there will be an open event for the public that has no access? I think there was one in spring, will there perhaps be a new one soon? I feel like I must try all the best kratom

Haven't seen word on it yet. There was one in late April/early May I believe. There's a thread for TFH updates if you poke around, where they post when they're getting ready to do open events.

Has anyone tried the Red Hangat Indo? It has been there a few weeks and I've had my eye on it, probably because all the TFH I've had that included 'Hangat' was stunning. I don't know if that bears any meaning when it comes to this strain, but I'd love to hear from anyone who has had the Red Hangat Indo experience.

I LOVE IT! Although it may not be on par with some of the past "Hangat" batches. it is still overall pretty damn good! It is a solid mid for me, neither energetic or sedating. Great pain relief and has a kind of mellow uplifting mood boost. I find it helps greatly for stress/anxiety. Also has long legs. It is a very well-rounded batch/strain that hits a lot of notes, providing a nice sense of well-being. I use the Red Hagnet Indo at home because it seems more suited for chilling around the house. Also found that because it is so well-rounded that it is GREAT for blending (which is how I now mostly use it). So even though it may not be as exceptional as past Hangat batches they've carried, and not quite as good as Rocket Red or Red Muna, it is still a very highly rated (in my opinion) batch, which I think I scored an 8/10 overall

Your original review is almost a year old. Have you or anyone you know tried this strain recently? It could be different this year. I'm really considering this strain if it's still good. The exact strain seems to still be on the menu.

Excellent point. Since this is THF I was referring to, I allowed them the assumption that with their most popular batches they make an effort to work with their supplier to maintain as much consistency as is possible. Maybe even using the same trees, similarly harvested, and dried and blended the same way. Lol, though I guess unless the supplier is also a fan of that harvesting, and kept a supply of it as reference material, and kept sampling the new version until he felt it matched, we're going to have to be willing to say "close enough". ;)

I feel you on this, as I recently purchased some Super Green Malay on sale, but I first asked around to see if people thought it was high quality. I really like the batch I had of it from 2019, and though I was buying from the same vendor, I was aware of the tremendous variation that can happen with what was supplied to them. I was optimistic though, as my understanding is that the outfit I dealt with, Otie's Botanicals, has a good relationship with his supplier, so they have a handle on consistency. Not going to be identical, but I have hopes that it will be very similar.

Funny enough I was on my way to post about it in the thread about what we're burning today. I was really close to breaking open one of the new bags, but I stuck with my older one. Soon though, I'm going to try to do a real comparison. :)

Btw, that vendor has a sale going on.

TFH batches are labeled so you know exactly what you are getting, if they get another shipment of the same “strain” it is still labeled as a new batch bc even if it’s from
the same area and using the same process, effects will still vary. It’s very hard to have consistency from one batch or harvest to another. That’s why many vendors label the batch number so people know if I liked “green Malay batch 9839” and that same batch is on the menu I’m getting exactly the same thing I ordered before.

Often times there are some strains that TFH will carry for a long time, and it’s because of their stringent testing. When something tests really good, they stock up on it, so they can have enough in stock for a while.

From vendor to vendor it varies because of so many factors, but batch numbers really are awesome for transparency and to help customers ensure they are getting what they are looking for. I can’t imagine anything worse than loving a strain and then buying a kilo to stock up on it, to open the kilo and realize it is completely different even though it’s titled the same.

I just checked the old thread and it was referring to the green hangar suma vsop - irca7 , which is the current batch on the menu, though it’s down to 100g bags only.

I enjoyed this batch very much. Funny how called it “amiable” because that is the perfect word to describe it. It’s not a hard hitting strain, but it has good feels and great mood boost (for me). Sometimes the more subtle strains don’t get as much love, but they have their own unique qualities I can appreciate for certain circumstances.

Thanks for the reminder about the batch number, I'd forgotten about that, even though my old post did mention it.

Wow, they still have some in stock, I guess someone knew that they had something worth investing in.

I lucked out on the split key I ordered, all four have stood the test of time, and I've seen them positively mentioned from time to time.
