So I went ahead and asked mystic kratom for a sample of their leaf. They were kind enough to send me two 1oz samplers and I gotta say that it's definitely some good leaf. Has that bright green color that I look for. Green MD hit midspec with the relief of a red. Definitely on par with the mewe leaf that I get and mewe leaf is definitely something special. I've always heard about this vendor but was told that there current batches weren't any good so I just skipped them. But they got a new batch and it's definitely good leaf. I will place an order for four more strains to see all they have to offer.

I was hesitant, but decided to give it a shot and got two samples. no questions asked, they shipped right away. I have to say, offering to send out samples does show that they are committed and confident in this leaf. it's definitely not cheap to do what they're doing.

I got bentuangie and amethyst, which is a green/red blend. this bentuangie is unique, in that it's a regular green color, and doesn't appear to be fermented. it was good, probably the only strain labeled as a bent that worked for me. I'd give it a 7.5/10. the amethyst didn't do much, probably a 4/10. based on this, I would consider buying a few other ounces from them, because the bent was quality, but I wouldn't be ready to go ahead with a larger quantity quite yet. reds don't always work for me, so I'd want to try a few of their greens or green blends.

Yes totally agree with you on the sample thing. Most vendors that don’t have sample packs are a pain especially if the smallest size you can get is 250g. I have enough 250g bags that don’t work for me and it’s quite annoying. But they were quick to ship my samples. I got green md and big red one which is an indoor green red. The green md was my favorite of the two. Anyways I would love to see a picture of your samples. To see what color the bent is. But mine are bright green which I like.

That bentuangie on the left, is that a red? I mean I've only ever heard of red bentuangie,I thought it was a way of fermenting or something idk. But ya, if that's a red bentuangie and it's that green, I bet it's a killer daytime red...I might gotta get some. When you get samples do you get to pick the two strains? I've been getting all green samples from everyone, which I don't really take greens, and get like 3gs, which is a quarter my regular dose...

yeah Idk if it's a true bent, or it's just being labeled as such. I always thought bents were by definition fermented, and the powder in the picture is not fermented. unless I'm misunderstanding something. I tried it a 2nd and 3rd time, I would lower my rating to a 5/10 from a 7. I could easily see it being good for other people though, it seems relatively fresh.

I'm not sure if he lets you pick the strains, I don't think so though. he just sent two out, and one was a green/red blend. I prefer greens personally.

A little OT but do your samples have anything on them to identify where they are from?

A forum friend here sent me samples, and I have a ton of samples from a lot of different places, and I *thought* I got two samples from Mystic Island but for the life of me I can't tell which ones they are. IOW, I see nothing that SAYS Mystic Island. How are you samples marked? Do they have a printed label? I do have two samples with just handwriting on them (one a Green Deep Remote Jungle SK6, and the other a Green Bali Dragon) but they could be from anywhere. I may have just misplaced my samples but I need to know what I'm looking for.

The remote jungle is definitely Denette, probably other one also. His samples don't have labels and usually always have numbers and letters after them. I have two MI samples and the bags are labeled, it's actually printed on the bags.

LOL - you clearly are not old yet. We can lose things and they can be in our HANDS.

Although the classic is having something in your hand, going into a room for something else, and then coming back and wondering where the thing THAT WAS JUST IN YOUR HAND went. Trust me, David Copperfield couldn't do a better trick - it's NOT in the room you were just in. It's... in the refrigerator! Or perhaps the pocket of the pants you were washing! It's... magic!

Lol you're not the only old one Kelley. I go crazy sometimes trying to find things that I may have already given away or thrown out and forgot but when it comes to kratom I'm learning to place all my bags in certain boxes... hopefully. I got my old samples and two new ones, Phatcracker and Red Thai, hoping to enjoy them this week.
PS the bags are bronze colored, just opened the Phat to make oblates and looks and smells really great.

Okay, thanks, I'll look for some bronze bags with the name on it.

Sigh - the other issue is I may just have too much Kratom (my wife thinks I'm obsessed). This is pretty funny in that I don't even take it every day, maybe four days a week max. But I have SO much I think I'll be able to leave some to my grandkids <g>.
