Scientific American article,

Post by Oletimer »

This article was about extraterrestrials existence in universe I'll just share it,Scientific American admits: Extraterrestrials likely to be far more intelligent than humans… and we’re stupid to deny their existence

07/07/2019 / By Mike Adams

In case you haven’t noticed, articles about extraterrestrial intelligence have been appearing with increasing frequency across the mainstream media and scientific establishment. It’s no longer “fringe” to talk about intelligent, non-Earth civilizations, and the really forward looking scientific thinkers are finally starting to ask questions about what may await us after disclosure is acknowledged.

Case in point: This March 4, 2019 article in Scientific American asks, “Are we really the smartest kid on the cosmic block?” The subhead warns:

It’s unlikely, and if we keep thinking otherwise, we might be missing some important clues about the existence of extraterrestrial life

The article goes on to argue that continued denialism about the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations is a great disservice to humanity.

One fact is clear: if we assign a zero prior probability for such evidence coming our way, as some scientists did in the case of ‘Oumuamua by invoking the principle “it’s never aliens,” we will indeed never find any. We will be like ostriches burying our heads in the sand.

With an estimated 400 billion stars in our own galaxy alone, it’s insane to think that at least tens of millions of those stars don’t harbor planets with intelligent life. And some of that life must be — by sheer chance alone — millions of years more advanced than our own civilization (which is barely a few thousand years old). It’s not “fringe” to believe that extraterrestrials exist in our galaxy… it’s fringe to think that they don’t.

The history of science is full of denialism and efforts to block the progress of knowledge

.

When “science” becomes delusional, it can no longer be called science at all. And when “science” misses for far bigger picture of what’s really happening across our cosmic landscape — such as the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations that observe our own planet — then science becomes a hindrance to humanity.

If you have ever seen a ufo,,,you either try to write it off as something unusual, and go about life as usual, or you know you've witnessed something not from this world,,lchange how you look at the world,,,I seen, my family and I actually ,had a close sighting,,it was in the late day, hovering over the pond maybe 200 feet high, making a swishing sound,,that's what drew our attention to it,,metallic bright silver disc, ,we were sitting at the picnic table about 100 ft from pond, you see something like that, it takes a few moments to digest WTH, about 10 long seconds later,,it took off up towards the east, vanished in moments , it wasn't just the disc, I was more captivated by the windows, like in a plane, but different, on 1 side as it rotated,,,we talked about this for a long time,,,apparently it was seen by other folks, farmers,,according to local news the next day,,Southeast mo is a hotspot,,this wasn't the 1st time that a similar object appeared and spotted by a family member through the years,,all in the same rural area,,so, I think it will be interesting the day comes when they think we have evolved enough that they will show themselves to the world, I am not a Christian, I am not a disbeliever,I do believe a higher intelligence is where us humans evolved from,,,,eccentric? Sure, unless you have seen for yourself ,many, thousands,100 of thousands have,,I could go deeper, but leaving it here,,I have a shared this story with all friends, through life,,eyes seen it,,and the feeling was indescribable,
