Thanks for posting this. Being an "apple detective" sounds like a wonderful way to spend one's day, traipsing around out in nature looking for old trees and abandoned orchards. It's exercise, nature, history and botany all in one! Plus it's really worthwhile. Just think of the genes for flavor and disease resistance that are being rescued! Great article!
