I have a LOT of books. I put my favorites on a built in book shelf in the living room when I moved in, the rest have been stored in boxes in the corner of my bedroom. 13 boxes. I've been thinking about getting rid of what I can, the majority were thrift store buys anyway. What I ended up with was three boxes to one daughter, one to another, saving two for myself and seven back to the thrift store. These are big boxes. That was yesterday.
Today I'm reorganizing the basement (also tiny) and throwing away what I can. Bringing some stuff up to put in my bedroom where the books were, probably the majority of that will be herbal supplies and a couple bins of other stuff.
The main part of my apartment with my bedroom is 400 sf. The basement probably half that size and has a washer and dryer. Sons bedroom was tacked onto the side of the apartment at some point and has it's own entrance. This is a weird apartment. I've been told that the building was the community store and gas station and was built in 1929. Then it was a church, then my landlord bought it and turned it into an upstairs and downstairs apt. I have the downstairs apt with the basement for storage and the best view.
