Tea is delicious. Tea arrives in many forms. You can have it made of fruit, or kratom, or tea leaves, or kava, or marijuana, or ginger, or flowers, etc.

There are fresh teas, sweet teas, crisp teas, sour teas, roasted teas, boba teas, etc.

Almost everybody likes some kind of tea. It is the most popular type of non-alcoholic drink in the world, and is a staple of many cultures.

Personally? Like like Earl Grey, hot. Oolong isn't bad either, especially the good creamy/milky stuff. I like matcha on occasion but I couldn't drink it daily.

Tea is better than coffee. I will fight you to the death on this.

Genmaicha is my drink now. This is after a few years of a jasmine green tea addiction.

I like my coffee black and pretty strong, but will drink a mocha with whipped cream once in a while.

I blame my current situation entirely on IndelibleDotInk. I switched from coffee to black and green tea for a good 2 years until I started reading his posts about coffee Kult and burr grinders. apparently I am incredibly susceptible to reviews from people who's opinion I trust . I bought the aeropress to try kratom tea, but that didn't work out for me . So now I am making incredibly good coffee with a hand cranked burr grinder, the aeropress and the eyecracker espresso beans from coffee kult. Also on Monday morning I squandered my getting ready for work time watching guys with English accents and over-engineered hair cuts make aeropress coffee with a scale and a timer .


I bough a bag of the E115 , and it was also very good . That bag is almost empty .I took it to the family reunion last month and even the Mormons in my family commented on the aroma . I don't know if I can get anymore . If someone wants to post a bag on the trading post I will probably buy it . I can definitely say that, between the grinder, the aeropress , and the gourmet beans , this is an entirely next level coffee experience .

Maybe I should have stuck with tea and saved myself a lot of trouble . but I figure that directing my obsessive nature anywhere except toward highly addictive pharmaceuticals is a win .

edit: I still do like black tea and my favorite brand Is the PG TIPS , I will do Tetly British blend in a pinch . Early Grey has too many weird after tones for my taste.

I was fortunate enough to get an espresso maker and all the accoutrements last December. I've made both espresso and kratom tea with it. Both are delicious!

Now that said, I do not like most other coffee roasts or extraction methods. Drip coffee can go pound sand. Disgusting stuff.

I really enjoy green and black teas, and I think kratom tea with honey is also very nice.

lol, koffee kult dark beans and real cream take coffee to the next level. Like, if you've never had good coffee you would think you're drinking a different drink, a drink of the gods! I have only started using real cream (whipping cream, heavy cream, or powdered real cream) since March of this year, 2021, and it's beyond a game changer. Now everytime I have a cup of coffee, I marvel at the incredibly smooth taste and swim in the flavah!

The Waykana guayusa tea is also very good. Brave777 got me hooked on it.

Also, I really like cold green tea, used to buy ito en brand by the case. I found my sleep improved after I stopped drinking it daily.

your reply brought back a treasured memory . and who I am to edit myself. not about the melitta. just about hippies and coffee .

I planted trees for work when I was in my 20's . We worked mostly out of Ellensburg . We camped in the woods and planted trees all summer. The man who kept track of all of us younger freaks was an older hippie -his first name is Robin . He was a veteran of the Rainbow Gathering "Lovin Ovens" anyone who has been there will recognize that and might know him, or at least know the pizza's they cooked and gave away in the wood fired ovens they make every year. If you go this year you will be able to find it eat one of their pizza's / . He also taught us about "Jumba" and "Traipsa" Gods and goddesses of free food and free camping . invaluable . He kept us in check : watched how much alcohol we drank. cooked for us and taught us how to cook . Acted as a father figure to a bunch of vagabond , new to the road freak kids. Every morning he made us coffee with his mocha pot over the fire. It was one of his most treasured possessions and it took me a decade or so to figure out that it was the only way we were able to have good coffee every morning out in the woods over a fire . He played such an important part in my developing years. and I love him so much .

Mocha pots are pretty great. Simple, effective and will last forever when cared for. I used one for many years.

I bought the aeropress to try kratom tea, but that didn't work out for me.

I couldn't get a good extraction by steeping for only 20 min or less, have to boil in a pot and have found I need sometimes double the amount of kratom to make an effective tea. Aeropress is good to strain the tea, however.

I use powder when I feel like tea, but have yet to make a batch which really shines, mostly I get some yucky grog full of regrets and tasting of too much citric acid.

Red bubble kratom tea is another method, but my freezer is always full and I don't have a good mug or cup I would risk cracking. Few times I tried, I got the tell tale red bubble, but the concoction was gross and gave me a stomach ache. Ballz is the resident red bubble expert, hit him up if you need instructions, he has a basic method and then some more complicated ones, and will tell ya the boiling water sanitizes the kratom, which is desirable as toss n wash doesn't (I reverse toss n wash and try not to think about blue tarp special kratom stepped on by chickens, cats, and Indonesian farmers).

Back to the OP, do you put cream and sugar into your Earl Grey? That's the Brit stuff, yeah?

I like the basic Chinese tea, Lipton tea, green tea, as stated above. Oolong not so much, Jasmine somewhat, it can get too floral. If I weren't on a keto diet and not worried about sugar, Southern sweet tea is a real treat. It's just a heck ton of sugar with a splash of tea.

Can't forget about Korean barley tea, called bori cha. (https://smile.amazon.com/Premium-Roaste ... 946&sr=8-5) Nothing cuts through the grease and fermentedness and sweet and hot of a good Korean meal as a warm cup of bori cha. Just roasted barley simmered in water. Stuff is dayum delicious cold, too, I always used to have a pitcher in my fridge until we got a fridge which wouldn't fit my pitcher, lol. Super highly recommend! This got me stoked on it and I'ma ordering some right now, lol.

I have also tried a Korean corn tea! Yup, it's just dried corn boiled in water. If you ever feel the need for a drink tasting like liquid popcorn, well, it's been invented and you can even get it on Amazon. I do not recommend it, I dun think the stuff is bad, but it's weird and traditional tea, barley tea, coffee, Coke Zero, and Reign (sour lemon, white gummi bear, cherry limeade) are the tops if you are looking for a thirst buster, aside from my fave drink... iced water! Bang sodas are good too, but they aren't available everywhere and I'm not familiar with all the flavors aside from cherry blade lemonade. Oh, as mentioned in String Things' post on ethanol, I love ginger beer! It's ginger ale but a gazillion times more ginger. Bundaberg and Reed's Extra Ginger are the bombness, Bundaberg diet is the best for my keto diet.

Well, one way to look at it is like your view of various teas... coffee is just a tea made from coffee beans.

I can tell you have never had a good cuppa joe, as you would not feel disgusted if you had. Coffee isn't for everyone, but there are so many varieties and preparations, ukumoungous amounts of factors go into your cup, and one of them could be the key to heaven on your tastebuds. You might not want to rule it out for future consideration.

If you like Taiwanese milk tea with boba... you would love a slightly thick mocha drink bursting with sweet, sweet chocolate shavings, real dairy heavy cream, large grape-sized chewy boba balls all coming at ya through that fat straw and the heat-sealed top signature to milk teas. Perhaps a vanilla coffee drink with real vanilla beans, or french vanilla (eggs make it custard-y). Now I'ma crave some boba. It took a few tries for me to get into the tapioca balls, they are not the first thing that comes to mind when I am thirsty, but now I love the texture and sucking up the chewy nuggets, usually in a tea with lilikoi juice. Sad sad time to be on a keto diet.

I recently discovered Pu-erh tea, which is a type of fermented tea that's traditionally made in the Yunnan Province of China.
Pu-erh tea is made from the leaves and stems of the Camellia sinensis plant. This is the same plant that is used for making green, oolong, and black teas.
Though the same source plant is used, the different teas are made by using different processes. After harvesting, the processing of pu-erh tea involves two stages. During the first stage, the tea leaves are prepared similar to green tea. During the second stage, the leaves undergo fermentation and then prolonged storage, or "aging," under high humidity. Pu-erh tea that is aged for a longer period of time is supposed to taste better.

Very positive mood and alertness qualities, a variety of flavors as well.

I have had boba tea in Taipei and I did not like it lol. I do like boba, but not when its in a milky tea. I think it fits really well in fruit smoothies. I spent most of my tea drinking in Taiwan enjoying all the fruit infused teas they have available. Fresh starfruit juice and oolong is just fantastic. Not even sure what some of the other fruits were.

I have had coffee that others say is 'good'. I still think it is disgusting. All of it tastes burnt to me, like the end of my weed bowl when I am done vaping. People add things to cover up the taste but nothing really does it for me. I like milk, I like sugar, and I will like coffee more if it contains those things. But in the end I don't like the coffee.

Koffee Kult also has a very slight blonde roast, which makes 'white coffee,' a newish fad. The taste is like a nutty, pb cookie tea. It's not bad iced on a hot day, but it doesn't ring the coffee bell for me, I am a fan of dark roasts or medium/dark.

Had the idea to brew some guayusa tea and add in a small amount of pomegranite black tea before brewing... was very noms. Tasted grassy with a hint of black tea and more the smell of sweetness than the taste of it, also the different pomegranite sweet, fruit smell. Wow, am currently exeperiencing a mild mood boost, like when I was a guayusa virgin. Recommend!

after my bag of koffee kult ran out I tried to go to my local grocery store to see if I could get whole beans cheaper . I bought a bag of kicking horse and a bag of Starbucks whole beans. The kicking horse was ok , but the Starbucks was absolute shite . In a blind taste test I would have 0 issues with differentiating them with the koffee kult . So now I have a 2 pound bag of koffee kults dark roast and things are back to normal . It's really that good. if you don't like coffee I am suggesting that the problem is most likely with your source .

I do one cup of deep rich coffee in the morning and then I do a couple cups of black tea when I get home from work .

rather than fighting behind the Starbucks - the nearest one to my house is 45 miles away at the Barnes and Noble - I'll just send you some of these beans.
