This is horrific. I spent time in couple mental wards, and hospitals. Some are not that bad like bhu at a hospital. But a actual mental hospital is terrible. I got sent to one after having a psychotic break due to drugs. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. I only spent a week in the mental hospital during this they drugged me against my will, and the staff treated us like worthless trash. They had literal murderers in their. I’m all about mental health but if you kill someone you should be sent to jail not a mental ward. I feel for this man because some mental hospitals are like jail you have no rights, and getting out is hard because you have to speak to a judge plus get approval from multiple doctors, and councilors. If you don’t got family on the outside it’s hard to get them to release you because they just don’t care. Though I brought that pain on myself a man getting stuck in a mental ward for two years for mistaken identity didn’t. They should give him some reparations.
