What are some great Movies on Netflix? Not TV shows. Movie's??

What genres do you like?

I watch quite a bit of Netflix, so I can make some suggestions if you let me know the type of movie you enjoy. The only genre I don’t really watch is comedy, but I like thrillers, horror, sci-fi, indies, and dramas.

A Scanner Darkly

Its a bit older but if you havent seen it you should, its super trippy. Keanu Reeves, Robert Downy Jr, trippy story and directing.

Funniest show i have EVER seen in my life is “Who is America”

Its the new Sacsha Baron Cohen show, they guy who did the Borat movie. His new show is the funniest thing i have EVER seen in my ENTIRE life. Absolutely hilarious!!

Calibre (thriller) <— my favorite Netflix original, incredibly well done

As Above, So Below (horror) <— low budget but surprisingly good

The Witch (drama / horror) <— disturbing and incredibly dark
Under the Skin (not even sure what genre this film is)

I like off beat drama- comedys,,and spooky, the kind where you put your hands over eyes,and peek thru your fingers,lol!Any suggestions poison?

I heard this movie is great. I'm going to watch it its only $3 cause not on Netflix. I'd like to read the book.

If you like Sci-Fi Adventure, check out the Netflix Original movie "Bright". Will Smith stars in it and it was very entertaining.

I also enjoyed "Bird Box" if you are down for a horror flick starring Sandra Bullock. Great scary movie. Lots of societal parallels and symbolism.

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs by the Coen Brothers is good as well. Some of the comic relief was hilarious.

Brexit - good movie about how brexit went down, starring that guy whoplays dr strange.

Just finished mind hunters, was a great series. If you're into series alter'ed carbon was the best I've seen in a long time.

Not on Netflix but awesome movie = Mutafukaz

Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but the series FRONTIER is very good...there are 3 seasons (18 episodes), and the wife and I are almost done in less than a week...very binge-worthy...It has a little bit of everything...basically it's a story based on the early Fur Trade...totally fiction, but that's the setting.

The Irishman is on Netflix now - latest Scorcese film. Everyone is loving it.

Irishman was fantastic but it's hard to believe a 4 foot tall hoffa

Wentworth is not a movie, but a crazy series about women in prison for various reasons. Fiction. But it has so many twists and turns it's amazing! You gotta get through like first and maybe second episode before much happens but trust me if you stick with you won't be disappointed!

Unfortunately frontier has now been cancelled!!! I am so freaking bummed, really enjoyed this show a lot.... You should also check out VIKINGS and or The Last Kingdom.

The 100 is not a movie, its a tv-show but it is a DAMN GOOD TV SHOW!!! ITS MY RELIGION

They also added Event Horizon, which is one of my favorite movies of all time. The acting is passable at best (the exception being Sam Neill who is awesome and nails his role), and the dialogue can be quite cringe at times (forgivable since it was made in the late 90s), but for some reason I just LOVE the concept behind this movie. Sci-fi horror is my favorite genre and from a story standpoint, this movie fascinates me with its world building, set pieces, and great concept.

But every fan of Banks is likely to tell you to start with an earlier Culture novel. Imo you can't go wrong with The Player of Games as an intro to the Culture.

Right now on, I already Watch Polar, King, Anon, The Irishman, The Two Popes.

Dolemite Is My Name is a FANTASTIC movie

Dolomite is gr8. Based on a true story.

I clicked on dolomite not expecting to watch the whole thing and stayed glued the entire time. Definitely worth checking out.

Bee movie was super memey, if you are talking about the older animated one with, err, who was it; jerry seinfeld?

I watched the outlaw king movie awhile back and it wasn't too bad. Also watched the mobster one that came out recently, Irishmen. It was good. Really long, and a little slow. But it all paid off and was a really nice period piece.

Julie and Julia on Netflix

This movie came out in 2099 but I have only gotten around to viewing it. Although there are two stories intertwined, the most enjoyable part of this flick is about Julia Child, that most famous (and first) TV Chef.

I am not a "foodie" myself, but it doesn't matter. Streep's interpretation of Child is nearly convincing. You will not be bored, even if a movie about food sounds boring.

Note: Be prepared to get hungry while watching this movie. Order in some pizza first or at least pop some well-buttered popcorn
