I've heard of people using passion flower (extract, at least) to treat anxiety with great results, has anyone tried that?

Mix 2 parts Valerian and 1 part Passion flower for a better potion. We make a kool-aid version of that but it-is-bitter!
If you cook out your herbs for tea, you will def want some honey or sugar and make strong so not a lot to drink. Its not a pleasant tea

Speaking of valerian, if any of you have cats get some valerian root for them. It's like super catnip. Any of you ever have cats that loved your dirty socks? Pretty much the same smell.

Yeah valerian is super stinky, even the capsules. You have to toss and wash them, it's that bad. It didn't really work like it's supposed to for me though

Valarian root drives my cat crazy, I have capsules and when I take them for bed, he jumps up and starts smelling my hands......nasty beast!?!

When we were living across the river, the property we had was like a cat sanctuary. Feral cats liked it. Lost cats ended up there. A few injured cats ended up there. It was like there was an invisible sign that it was a safe kitty place.

Anyway.....this big feral tom started hanging out. Even worse, he came through the cat door one day and decided not to leave. This was a 100 year old 3 story with a basement, 6 bedroom 6 bathroom house. HUGE! He got down into the basement, into the furnace room and up between the ceiling and the floor above and we could not get him out. I baited a trap we had with tuna and left it down there. Heard the trap snap that night and went to bed figuring I'd take it to the humane society in the morning. Next morning I go down there and he had bent that trap all to shit and gotten out.

I don't remember how but we finally got him out of the house, but he was still hanging out. I went and got a stronger trap but he would not take any food bait ever again. He was smart. But I was smarter. I baited that trap with valerian root and had him in it within about an hour. Took him to the humane society and they took him back and you could hear all this banging around. The guys comes back out with my trap looking kind of disheveled and says Damn! that cat is a monster!

He was, too.

I would have kept him? out of respect!!
