Popping in to say hello and Happy Valentine's to all the folks I used to chat with and all the new faces.

I haven't posted much (at all?) in the last year because work has kept me on the go with little time for internet fun, but I've lurked every so often and I haven't forgotten y'all!

I hope every one of you stayed safe and healthy this past year, and if the 'Rona darkened your door I hope it was mild. Keep masking and being careful, and let's keep our fingers crossed that 2021 will be brighter than 2020 — Gosh, this would've been a better New Year's Eve message, wouldn't it!

Oh well, I'll kick off this year with Valentine's Day, instead. Share some love, spread some happiness, here's to health, wealth, and fire leaf.

Like with many things, Korea has adopted and adapted, or should I say, 'improved,' Valentine's Day. Here it's the girl who gifts her man on Feb 14, mostly chocolates.

March 14 is White Day, for the guy to give gifts back to his woman.

Now those who don't have a valentine celebrate Black Day on April 14. The lonely gather together and dress in black with black accessories, and eat jjang myeon, which is noodles in a black sauce.

I think the confection and floral industries started these, and other Valentine's-related holidays; there are several more.
