Full spectrum vs MIT extract
So I’ve been taking nothing but extracts lately, specifically Wonderland’s 38% and 44% extracts. Lately the effects have been pretty mediocre and short lived. Also dealing with SAD related depression that has left me down and unmotivated. I get it every year and just deal with it but the past few days have been pretty bad.
After reading about all the other alkaloids in plain leaf, particularly ones that affect serotonin, I went back and found an old TFH bag of plain leaf from 2 years ago and dosed 4 grams with a tiny bit of extract. A hour later and holy crap I am getting first kratom burn vibes right now. I actually got a few things done at work after feeling unmotivated all day. Those other alkaloids are no joke! And the relative amount of MIT I took is much less than my normal dosage if I did the calculations correctly.
Really no questions or advice needed, I just wanted to post this for anyone else that might have completely switched over to MIT extracts that are not full spectrum. I know this advice is given often on this board but I never thought it would make that much difference.
Edit: also this is not a post against Wonderland Gardens. Their extracts are incredible, I think I’ve just been overdoing it a bit lately.

I agree with your endorsement of the alkaloids to be found in full spectrum Kratom.

Yep. you need the Full Spectrum of plant alkaloids - Even though the other 30+ are in tiny, trace, amounts they all work together - Not just kratom, but other herbal extracts as well.
The Whole Plant, works best...
ALL of the expensive Kratom "shots" and Extract products - work BEST when used, to spike your main serving of powder... Start with the best QUALITY powder. Then add a dash of Extract on top... I love Wonderland's stuff - I make a LIQUID extract combo, with like 3 diff starting with kratom Resin a gooey black tar - Heat up some distilled water, in a "double boiler" setup = Tea cup inside a pan on stove. Add your resin. Weigh out some 38% extract maybe 0.4 gram ? Add some Black Diamond stuff... a shot of Mai Tai flavoring, squirt of Lemon (need citric acid!) - STIR and mix well. Cool and Pour through a funnel, w/ cotton ball, into a small glass bottle. Cool down. Makes like 6 to 10 servings! I "spike" regular kratom, always drink my powder!!

Full spectrum will always win because mitragynine by itself is way less bioavailable than the whole extract. I think it's like 17% for mitragynine and full spectrum is somewhere around 30%.
