Holes in package...

This might be me being paranoid, but I received a 100g package from Treasure House, and after I opened it and used it, I noticed the bag had two smallish holes in the side, and wasn't air tight. It looks like something might've crushed the package, or it might've been stapled or something, but now I'm a little worried it was tampered with... I guess we'll see. So far I'm still alive, so that's nice, but I'm curious what you would do. Should I toss it and see about a replacement, or just assume it's nothing and forge ahead with it?

Obviously, Kratom helps me with anxiety. lol.

Hey, Maxxx. Your concerns are understandable. Why not contact Treasure House directly and see if they have any insight as to what might have happened? Obviously check the mailing box or envelope carefully first, because they can't control what happens in transit, but just ask them. I have no idea whether they would replace/refund it or not, but if you're concerned, start there.

Me, I'm not sure what I would do. If it came with a slight hole in it from the vendor and was NOT punctured in transit, I'd probably just keep it and ignore it, because I've had more than one bag that was very slightly -- almost imperceptibly -- not air tight and it made zero difference. It was clearly just a bag or vacuum issue, no biggie. But if it was punctured in transit, then I might be VERY concerned, because God knows what got in there and by what means.

Why not contact Treasure House directly and see if they have any insight as to what might have happened?

I contacted TH and sent them a couple pics of the bag, and they're sending a replacement today. Great customer service. Hope the product is as good as I've heard.

That is excellent customer service! I've heard good things too and they are high up on my list of new vendors to try.

Salmonella dies at 167° F at a sustained heat of 10 minutes
Other non-specialized bacteria die at 140° F
Influenza is deactivated anywhere from 165° F to 212° F (boiling)

yeah Ben @ Treasure House is one of the BEST vendors, as far as Customer Service goes - heard many good reviews - Look at his website Blog it's one of the few vendors who writes a regular update on strains, re-stock, what's new etc. More vendors should do a Blog like THB!

And his leaf, quality, and prices ain't bad either.... Thanks for the reminder. I should order again from THB
