It's been a long time so I can't give you the numbers. I remember looking into this when the FDA and media was pushing heavy metals as another added danger for kratom. At first I was worried. After looking it up, the number they put up were laughable. I remember seeing green teas with higher levels. Basically just like everything else. I don't think kratom drying out on the sidewalks of a third world country is helping the numbers either. Plus the milling factories in Indonesia probably loading it with extra contaminants too. Would be cool to get some American production going. I'm surprised no one has started farms here.
I dont want to think about what the numbers would be if they tested our food. Ect. That maybe scary as well.

Let me just drop this link right here.

I cant unsee it Chris. Lol. You ever put a magnet in the bottom of a ceral bag? Or use doritos as a fire starter? Only get crazier from there. This is truly sad. There is also a whole list of ingredients that are banned in other countries but not here. The cause of a lot of sickness, cancer, ect = food
The cure for all your aliments = pills
Big pharma has a lot of money!!!

Let me just drop this link right here. Below is a report on heavy metals found in retail spices in the US. Basically 1 of 3 spices from your grocery store contain dangerous levels of metals.

It's not just metals either, sticking with spices here is a study from the FDA on salmonella contamination of spices as they were imported. Click the link below to see what they found (sorry I can't figure out how to insert the table on my phone)

According to them, 10% of oregano imports are contaminated with salmonella....yummy. That is WAY higher than the number of kratom batches that we see contaminated. At any rate, that 10% doesn't necessarily mean that it's that way when it reaches the grocery store shelf, as manufacturers can pasteurize products before packaging them for sale (if they choose to do so). The data is out there, how you weaponize it depends on your agenda.

We like to cold pasteurize our products whenever possible to remove any potential pathogens. It only costs us about $.50 - $1 more per kilogram, but the product comes out squeaky clean in lab testing (it removes essentially all microbial and mold contaminants). Of course heavy metals cannot be "pasteurized out", so it's still important to test for them and know about your sources practices (a lot of metals can be attributed to polluted water sources or antique machinery used during the milling process).

Wow. Thank you for taking that extra step. Also thanks for the heads up that this is even a step. I had no idea. People seem to want to save a buck, and always at someone elses expense. It does pay to go through reputable people for these products. I wish I could say the FDA has our backs on everything they approve but they dont, and they can also be bought off like the rest.
