Newb.
Newb here, and I have many questions. First though, I am wondering why pricing from different vendors vary so wildly. I know there can be differences in quality, but some sites seem to charge as much as 10x as much as others. I ordered from one that has higher prices when I first started, and my second order I went for bulk from a Better priced supplier and don't seem to notice a dramatic difference. Thanks.

Good question, I’d like to here some feedback on this as well. I buy from expensive vendors and not so expensive vendors and most of the time the the quality is not much of a difference.

Live and learn and don’t buy from the expensive vendors. They are taking advantage of the fact that you are new to Kratom and looking up stuff online(not like here but those bogus 5 best Kratom places websites). There is no justification for the 10x price diff I won’t even buy a $5 ounce anymore(I would to try something-but that comes out to 45 a quarter kilo too much for me). 25-35 for a quarter kilo should be the max.

Seriously, the most expensive I will go these days is K-OG -- or DG if I want a "premium" strain -- but for the most part I spend under 15 cents a gram. There is literally no reason to go higher. I just put in an order with Mystic Island the other day and got some of the best leaf I've had in ages -- that's including "premium" strains I was given by a friend -- and Mystic's got some of the least expensive leaf around.
Unless you know for a fact that a higher priced strain is the bomb, and you know it because you either tried it yourself or someone personally known to you made the recommendation, don't spend your cash.
Kratom is grown by farmers in Indonesia where it's been grown for centuries, and it is roughly $30 a kilo before shipping (even less, if you buy in bulk like US vendors do). Don't get suckered.
If you haven't seen it, one of our members maintains a list of "known good" kratom vendors along with a standardized price per gram for each. It's always sticked at the top of this forum, and here's a direct link: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=921
Another of our members maintains a similar list, but for vendors who offer discounted sample packs -- it's a great way to round out your personal collection of strains, as well as try before you buy.
