Small Batch Kratom Vault
We as humans have been storing away millions of seeds in the Svalbard Global Seed Vault in Norway, with millions more to come, to guard against loss of plant diversity.
It's an interesting project to check out if you are unfamiliar

Made me think that it would be cool to preserve the current state of small batch kratom. Maybe I'm pessimistic but I feel like in 20-30 years it's going to be hard to come by - its going to be all massive corporations and huge plantations with heavy handed regulation that benefits these large wealthy operations - As an example, look at legal Marijuana in Chicago - it's become a "pay to play" industry with expensive licensing that drives the small guys out of business and allows the wealthy to come in and set up shop, cornering an already booming market.
I'm sure we already have a sort of decentralized version of this - all of our doomsday stashes combined are quite the collection. But it might be wise to really be intentional about this as we are on the cusp of great change in the kratom world.

That's really interesting. I just spent the last 15 min. on the virtual tour of the vault. I sure hope they have some kratom seeds somewhere in there. The only problem however would be speciosa seeds are only viable for a short time. Maybe they could be frozen.

We are all out here doing our own version of this. Well...lots of us are. It's called FOMO
There would be no way to preserve the present kratom's state without also preserving the time itself. I have had some HR that was ten years old, and it was really good, but I'm sure it was.WAY better back in its time.
That's what happens over 10,20, 30 years.
