Some good Vendors (DG and Herb Research for instance) don't qualify their Maeng Da with a vein color...
Unsorted Leaf... So the harvester is taking leaf from a particular tree ( large, old growth, etc.) Or a small grove of trees, maybe top leaf. The point is, they're not sorting Red & Green leaves into separate piles...
Red Maeng Da, would then be even MORE selective. In Theory anyway, it's the farmer's best and, also sorted into RMD and GMD piles. I guess the idea would be, that unsorted Maeng Da gives a
Full Spectrum "better" effect, with a broader range of alkaloids .. Herb Research promoted that idea years ago, but HR hasn't been doing much plain leaf since.. 2016 ? Since he refused to lower prices in response to the US market..

He's out of the loop. Totally into extracts now, anyway.
So.. a TRUE
Red Maeng Da, would be the grower's best Red, sorted at harvest. Again that's on paper, assuming the Distributor or Supplier doesn't then mix or blend it with something else, or water it down for more quantity, etc - since growers/ harvesters are not usually involved in the final product. Its the Supplier who buys bulk crushed leaf, up in Jong Kong village.. then trucks it down river, where it's milled and blended into a final product.
MOST kratom leaves are
Red vein (Indo's translate to "bone". Red Bone lol.) There ARE
Green bone leaves however it's a lesser percentage picked off the tree.
White Maeng Da is not a natural leaf color, so White MD is always a blend, adding Matcha tea leaves & sun drying techniques for a lighter, bleached out effect.
