Hey everyone! Let's talk about the importance of GMP certification when it comes to Kratom. As consumers, we all want to ensure that the products we're consuming are of the highest quality and safety standards. That's where GMP certification comes in.

For those who may not be familiar, GMP certification ensures that Kratom products are manufactured in a facility that follows strict guidelines for cleanliness, quality control, and documentation. It's essentially a stamp of approval that signifies a manufacturer's commitment to producing safe and reliable products.

Have you ever specifically looked for GMP certified Kratom?
What are your thoughts on its importance?

Share your experiences and insights with us! Let's discuss the role of GMP certification in ensuring the quality and safety of Kratom products.

In theory its a good idea - but in it's current state it doesn't mean shit. You pay a fee for pretty basic yearly inspection IIRC Doesn't even consider how it was handled or cured before it reaches the facility. None of the vendors I use are cGMP, and honestly I tend to avoid cGMP vendors - it's always a certain type, with a certain quality that I avoid (larger operations, bulk). To me it feels like these vendors are paying for an advertising spot with the American Kratom Assocation.

EDIT: I looked into your company and it looks like you weren't referring to The American Kratom Associations GMP certification. My mistake! I would be interested to know more about WQA's GMP program. You Facilities look nice!

Two important things seem to be significantly affected by GMP, quality and price. Personally I'd be fine paying more if need be as long as it's somewhat reasonable, but when it comes to the quality, that's where the dealbreaker lies with me. I use kratom medicinally to treat the symptoms associated with lupus so the quality is the most important aspect of the leaf that I purchase, full stop...... If I didn't have access to the high quality leaf that the vendors associated with this forum produce, I would likely be on disability and be quite miserable. One of the most significant factors that differentiate GMP vendors from the vendors that we use is bulk vs small batch. Small batch allows for better quality control, where bulk is clearly very difficult to consistently produce high quality. There have been instances where bulk vendors have produced some high quality leaf, but this is the exception, not the rule. If someone figures out a way to get around the quality dilemma without raising the price to an absurd level, then I would support GMP.

I would also like to add that I don't think most people really understand how significant the difference in quality is between bulk leaf and small batch. More than once I've spoken to people on other forums who use GMP vendors that exclaim that the leaf they're getting from their GMP vendor is some of the best and it can't possibly get much better than that, but it isn't until they finally try a truly high quality small batch vendor that they actually realize just how incredible the difference is. That's my two cents for now, curious what others think on here. \m/

Trust but verify, and then trust some more.

Imo the most I can reasonably hope for is to have vendors who've been around a while, preferably with an online presence so you get a sense of them as people. On top of that I like to hear how they have reliable relationships with the people they're buying from, and so when they send product in for testing at labs, it's more about confirming what they know, they're getting product from uncontaminated soil, and it was ground to powder by machines that didn't shed metal or contamination into it.
