Homecoming?

So without going into too many (boring) details, I haven't been taking much kratom over the last six or eight months.

I still almost always take my nighttime dose - always a red, always helps me sleep. But both my pain levels in the daytime as well as things which take me away from simple pleasures have almost completely stopped my daytime doses.

Today I woke up hurting a lot (weird, because I didn't play tennis since Monday and didn't do too much yesterday that I remember, other than the usual caretaking I've been doing for my wife) so I turned to some kratom to get me kickstarted. Loaded up 3 grams of Denette's DR4 Green Horse and... wow.

It was like starting all over again - this hit me HARD, and I'm sitting here feeling SO good. A bit odd since it's not like I've stopped taking kratom (right now my nighttime doses mean I'm consuming around 20 grams a week) but you could not tell that from the way this is affecting me. I feel like I've come home - in a real good way - and now thinking that maybe I need to reevaluate things and perhaps include a bit more "me" kratom because, well, it's so great.

(Just thought I'd share - if TL:DR that's okay. Right now I'm feeling so good I don't mind any negativity :>).

Oof, this hits home. I just did a weeklong T-break hoping for a receptor reset, but it didn't do as much as I'd hoped. I could probably benefit from a real washout, I truly miss it a lot when I'm on a break. The difference in mental peace and uplifted mood is significant with kratom vs. without, even though the burns used to be a lot better.

I'm so glad you got a you boost being a caregiver for your wife is so beautiful and so very hard I've been a caregiver for my adult son for 22yrs now he was in an accident in 2001 which left him a quadriplegic If not for kratom I switched from prescription pills 5 yrs ago and never looked back I know I wouldn't be able to the pills had stopped working years ago and I was left with with unrelenting pain and I was daily taking enough meds to knock out a rhino.I have so much respect for you thank you for sharing your story sending prayers of protection and healing 🙏

Your own story is impressive, even more so. And I'm sure your son realizes the love he has from his mom and appreciates it greatly.

Kratom brings a lot of us here together and helps smooth out the hardships of life. Whenever I hear about folks who want to make it impossible for us to get it I think "they just don't have a clue and are lucky THEY don't need this kind of help" (of course, maybe they do and it's even sadder to realize they will never know it).

Welcome back, Kelley! It’s always nice when kratom does that. Even after all these years, it can still surprise me from time to time with an amazing burn out of seemingly nowhere. I wish more research could be done so we could figure out why and how the same strain and batch can have such different effects. I’ve had batches I thought were duds, but then I’ll try them again randomly one day and it just gives me such a mood lift with pain relief.

It's probably something completely silly. This mystery and unpredictable nature is what draws me to it in the first place ..
