What happened to Kats?!

Greetings,
I stopped taking Kratom due to a couple spine surgeries. I am now trying to wean off of oxy and go back to Kratom. I ordered on June 11. They still hadn't shipped a WEEK later, so I sent them an email. They didn't give any reason, but said they would ship the next day. It STILL hasn't shipped, and they stopped responding to me. This is getting really old, really quick. I had major problems with their shipping in the past, but they can't even get it into the mail, now?! I guess it's back to Treasure House, IF I can ever get my money back or any response at all.

Maybe try posting on Reddit, in a suitable group? At a minimum you'd have a good chance from hearing from recent customers of them.

Mike I'm so sorry to hear that. I too have never really had much luck with Kat's. You should try Herbal RVA and you have to search speciosa when you are on the web page. Jonathan is a great vendor with great leaf and reasonable prices. You don't have to be a member or anything. I'm sending you good vibes and hope you are feeling better soon.

Nothing happened, just a very mediocre vendor. And why when there's so many better options..

RVA is a great suggestion. I don't have any of their recent stuff but the vintage I have is excellent.

I just checked his site based on your rec, but almost everything is described as “tea”’. Is that just for subtlety or does he primarily sell Keaton tea (crushed leaves)? I saw some images that looked like crushed leaf, but most looked like regular powdered kratom. Obvs the pictures don’t necessarily mean anything, but I’m definitely curious.

Years past we used to label everything as "tea" to help us keep payment processors. Thats not really needed anymore because kratom is allowed to be processed by credit cards. It was formally prohibited by Obama's Operation Choke Point. It made banks limit who they could do business with and visa/mastercard transactions are all backed by a bank. So they prohibited it in years past, that operation choke point is no longer so its freed up banking and thus freed up processing.
I spent some time changing some of the strain names awhile back and dropping tea off, but then took a break and never finished. Crushed leaf is the only one that is actually similar to tea and shouldnt be bought if you want powder. Everything under the kratom sections is kratom powder aside from the green and red Crushed leaf strains.

Kats Botanicals ... Long story, so I'll just tell what I know...

- Kats WAS, several years back... the
#1 Vendor on Facebook. In terms of # Members listed there on his FB Group. He made huge $ Bank $ off Facebook for, a couple years. Then... problems.
Facebook cracked down on, public Vendors who were advertising...

with Members who naturally started fights, complaints, as usual per FB. Some of those customers, filed Chargebacks - I remember Justin saying he'd been scammed by multiple FB Buyers and was losing his shirt. Then he got kicked OFF Facebook and banned...
Probably "Tip of the Iceberg" as far as his, Banking problems on and on... finally - he seem to no longer care about "The Business" or customers or product. Just get the cheapest possible BULK crap quality kratom - And sell it for the highest price - And join the
Happy Hippo/ Golden Monk, group of AKA Crappy Vendors and let them advertise.
JMHO as a Long time Customer... Way before his website, when he shipped plain bags w/ Strain marked by sharpie. Kats has been a "
Vendor to Avoid" since around 2019.

Kats isn’t always the best quality but I never had an issue with shipping or customer service and I used them for several years. I’m surprised that you are having issues but maybe things have changed with them.

I haven't ordered from Kats in at least two years -- the last batch I bought from there was so weak it was virtually useless. The only thing I liked were those neat, all in one plastic measuring spoons for a dollar.

The local head shop has Kats so I picked up a couple bags once when I was going to be snowed in away from home. It was better than I expected, but not good enough that I've tried it again in the last 6 months. My buddy says he's gotten some stellar batches from Kats so I'm not sure if they're really hit-or-miss or if he just has lower standards.

I've ordered from Kats a lot of times and have never had any issue. I order the flavored packets everytime they are on sale. The individual ones are great for when I'm on the go and the taste is good.
At this point I've found so many better vendors that I never order anything but the flavored single serves and gummies. I just get those because they are so convenient to stick a few in my pocket if I'm going to be out with friends for a long time.
