Hello Everyone! Its been a long time since I have posted, life has been hectic for us to say the least. This year we added a new baby daughter to the clan and with our older children having grown into school age, I've had to be more disciplined with where I spend my time (we homeschool so them being "school age" is the opposite of freeing up time). We also expanded our infrastructure on the kratom procurement side of things so the last few years have been busy! However, I still and always will consider Double M my "online home" and I still hop on the site to read what everyone is up to!

I got an email from somebody who I've never spoken with before asking for my blessing to publish part of a thread I wrote years ago about "behind the scenes of the kratom industry". I was explaining to them while a lot of it still applies, there have been many wonderful steps in the right direction and even a few facilities that are in my opinion - as good as it gets.

Let me know if you guys would like an update on how some things have changed. Before I invest my time into writing something up I just wanted to see if there is much of a genuine interest. Thanks!

Yes please! A lot of us know only that the last two or so years have changed things, but we're vague on the details. An update from someone with your level of knowledge would be enormously valuable.

When I first started with kratom 4 (5?) years ago, the person who told me about kratom on another forum also pointed me here, to DoubleM. And very early on, that article you wrote was really helpful in my getting started with kratom (and this DoubleM forum and the people here were amazing as well).

An update would be spectacular - we're very blessed to have you, your MOST excellent leaf - and the great information about the kratom industry!

Very much so. Personally, I think that whole thread should be stickied to the front page. Tons of good info that new people would benefit from reading.

Many things changed. As we saw for this last 4 years, consuming behavior changed more to adulterated products and less ppl consuming in natural form. Based on consuming behavior, human always prefer to consume something instant and effective, so there's a change in consumption behavior.
The need of kratom products still high and still raising up time by time, new consumer prefer to take instant form so its influences the needs of kratom raw materials. Because of this massive needs of raw products for extraction, and Sorry to say : ppl in Indonesia still doesnt changed a lot in process bcause of they just focused on Quantity.

Hi, a bitter truth to swallow. AFAIK, The new generation of the Indonesia kratom producer is focusing on quality (the government also have regulation to maintain quality). And yes: +1 for the update too, previous thread was a learning process for us as well.

I love to read about my favorite leaf, a leaf that has, for many years, evaded the grimy clutches of pharma uses but i fear they have finally figured out how to market it somehow. No other explanation for the mass ban of a very VERY clearly harmless and ultra beneficial plant.

It's been a great run and hopefully there is still time to get a collection up, because when it's gone, sadly, it's gone. That's how this scum works
