Kratom and Productivity at Work
Hi everyone. I am considering taking kratom to be more productive at work. I took it for a year and half a decade ago and it boosted my productivity massively, working almost non-stop 8-12 hours daily as a consultant in a CPA firm until I got sick in mid-2015. Now, I am a software engineer for quite a few years and would like to experience that amazing productivity boost I had back then. Has anyone here been super productive when it comes to kratom use at work? I've searched the forums and am reading mixed opinions, but not much directly addressing this.

Yes 100% I become a “super worker” lol. Focus and stamina just seem off the charts.

That's exactly what I felt. Definitely want a taste of that again. I was even told I had too much "drive" by my coworkers because I kept knocking assignments out and solving problems left and right.Adrumaddict wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2026 4:12 am Yes 100% I become a “super worker” lol. I keep hearing people using it for other things like pain and emotional relief, etc. Those are great, but I wanted to see something specifically about work. Even more specifically about office work because I already know kratom works amazingly well for physical and hard labor type work.

Retired Programmer here... The main issue, is not a Yes/NO - Question, it's "How Much"
... observing the common problem of people doing HUGE amounts of Raw powder to achieve desired effect (Energy boost, Pain relief, Anti depressant, etc.) .. a SMALL serving of Kratom gives "Energy", while consuming LARGE amounts lead to - Sedation, lethargy, even a sleepy effect...
In a white collar/ office type job - I'd definitely approach Kratom - right alongside your Caffeine / or Energy Drink... Add just a small amount! And be very AWARE, of any unwanted Side Effects after a few hours - Losing focus/ Tired etc. It's common with Coffee - generally accepted that a "Late Cup" of coffee is OK after lunch... for the final 2 hours of that long 8-hour "Full Time" work day!!
I sure DON'T miss those 8-Hour days... and working to meet deadlines!!
Good Luck~!

True. I don't plan on taking enough for a sedative effect and I certainly won't chase the euphoric feeling. I gotta be careful there. I am starting off with 2-3 grams. I'm leaning towards 3 because I weigh about 215 pounds so I probably need more than the average person for the desired effect.BallzDeep9 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2026 11:43 pm Retired Programmer here... I will be taking it right after drinking coffee in the morning and treat it as such for sure. Then I will have another 2-3 grams after lunch (I'll have to experiment even more here). Definitely looking forward to the productivity boost primarily and also exercising will be even more fun.

Re: Kratom and Productivity at Work
I work in a very intense demanding job. I believe that I am able to keep up with the demands at work B/C of k... which also means that I believe I would struggle at work W/O k... I consider it a tool to help me stay sharp for 12+ hour long days. However, I am somewhat disappointed in myself (regularly) that I don't Naturally have the ability to sustain a workload that I see my co-workers doing with just coffee (although I dont REALLY know that as a fact.). A couple years ago, I spoke to my doctor about energy levels, etc. I tried Modafinil and Vyvance. Neither supplied to benefits I get from k. I stopped using the prescribed meds in favor of my tried and true doses of k. I'm nervous that what works best for me is now being presented to the public in such a negative light. No one knows I have been so "successful" over the past ~5 years WITH THE HELP FROM k.

It's likely most of your coworkers are functioning only on coffee, like mine. I'm also curious how my coworkers do amazing things and are workhorses with (seemingly) minimal intake of anything. I do also know multiple engineers who take Adderall every single day to work their minimum 40 hours (sometimes more). Definitely not the route I want to take because kratom is much safer and easier on the body. I took the stimulant route as well with Modafinil, but just like with you, it didn't approach the benefits of kratom. I also know one guy who was getting work done as much as I was on kratom and he didn't take anything, not even coffee.Silverstone wrote: ↑Tue Mar 24, 2026 1:54 pm I work in a very intense demanding job. Everyone is just different. Maybe those same people wouldn't be productive on kratom. I just know my mind and body goes to another level when taking kratom and it sometimes feels like the movie Limitless. I consider that a blessing.

Short answer, no, this is 'drug talk' ha-ha. If yer doing some insane amount of anything that you think makes you get more work done, yer probably wrong, and might be an addict. Did you used to drink 2 cups of coffee a day (or have some kratom) and it didn't interfere with your life, then fine. Go back to that. Kratom isn't majick, and it's not a drug in any kind of good way (are any drugs ?). Just saying.

Yeah not all people will respond the same taking kratom for work. For those using super high amounts, they're in a danger zone imo. In my case, I only use 2-3 grams max twice a day so nothing crazy.onespeedstop wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2026 11:36 pm Short answer, no, this is 'drug talk' ha-ha. I use Kratom often to help me power through mundane work and not lose focus or drive. It allows me to just go and attack whatever needs to get done without agonizing over it. It honestly works better than Adderall. Modafinil has a very different style of focus that also has its place.

Re: Kratom and Productivity at Work
I used the super green variant kratom in the afternoon for a teaspoon (didn't measure how many grams on it). I feel very energized the next day and working to alll my tasks (i am a business owner). Furthermore, sometimes when i driving/pick up my kids, i have an eagerness to speedy drive. That is why, i consider taking kratoms once in two days or if necessary. I am afraid of having car accident due to my speedy driving

Re: Kratom and Productivity at Work
I outwork folks half my age due to kratom. I can start and not stop for hours. I am a groundman at a tree company. Some of you may remember my concrete and demolition job a few years ago which taught me (I was working with relentless and super focused Guatemalan guys) how to work in the fashion that i do. They all got bloody noses all the time calling it "allergies" but now I know what that means. I was keeping up with them with only kratom. I was taking greens back then though, which I can no longer do.
Back in those days I could run wheelbarrows of concrete or stone all day up and down hills or ramps without any problem. (Thanks to kratom) Somewhere along the way I developed a work ethic where hard work became fun (somehow that I wish I could sell for sure) and that sticks with me today at this job. All of the kids want to play with their phones rather than spot their buckets and half-ass their jobs when the bucket comes down ...but not me. Again, and I'm sure you're already aware of that I'm going to say, BECAUSE OF KRATOM.
My co-worker/bucket op is an El Salvadoran guy who speaks broken English and he calls kratom "power" (which I love.) Sadly he has really bad pain in his hands and legs and refuses to even TRY kratom, he is afraid of it for some reason. I told him he could have as much as he wanted any time.
Just as an aside, that feeling was why I always enjoyed heroin. Good heroin was great at making mundane bullshit (even writing music, doing parts over and over to get them right) MUCH more enjoyable. Kratom gives me that too only it's sustainable. BUT the bad side is that it kinda took away the music. I don't hear it anymore.
Without kratom I'd be lost and constantly shiftless and probably getting in trouble just for something to do.
