URGENT: Philadelphia Kratom Consumers Need to Take Action
Posted: Wed Jun 03, 2026 10:14 am
Dear Pennsylvania Kratom Supporter,
We are reaching out to alert Philadelphia-area customers about proposed legislation currently moving through Philadelphia City Council that could severely restrict — and potentially eliminate — access to natural kratom products within the city.
The proposed ordinance would classify kratom as an "intoxicating substance" and would only allow the sale of products that have received FDA approval. Because natural kratom leaf products are not FDA-approved pharmaceuticals, many consumer advocates believe this proposal would effectively ban legal kratom products currently used by thousands of responsible adults. Philadelphia City Council's Committee on Commerce & Economic Development has already advanced the legislation for consideration by the full Council.
If kratom has made a positive difference in your life, now is the time to make your voice heard.
WHAT YOU CAN DO TODAY:
Contact Philadelphia City Council members and respectfully ask them to oppose any legislation that would effectively ban natural kratom products.
Share your personal story.
Explain how kratom has helped you, why responsible adults should retain access, and why regulation and consumer protections are preferable to prohibition.
Support common-sense regulation instead of a ban.
Many advocates support:
• Age restrictions (21+)
• Product testing requirements
• Accurate labeling standards
• Restrictions on synthetic and adulterated products
• Consumer safety protections

SUGGESTED MESSAGE:
"I respectfully urge Philadelphia City Council to reject any proposal that would effectively ban natural kratom products. As a responsible adult consumer, I support reasonable regulations such as age restrictions, product testing, and labeling requirements. Please protect consumer access to natural kratom while addressing legitimate safety concerns through regulation rather than prohibition."
Every email, phone call, and personal story matters. If you value your freedom to choose natural botanical products, please take a few minutes today to contact City Council and make your voice heard.
Thank you for standing up for consumer choice and responsible kratom access.
Sincerely,
The PA Botanicals Team
