I've noticed this floating around social media. Can anyone verify if this is true?
ANYONE WHO CAN PROVIDE DOCUMENTED PROOF OF KRATOM BEING BOUGHT OR SOLD IN THE U.S. PRIOR TO OCTOBER 15th 1994 NEEDS TO CONTACT THE
AKA IMMEDIATELY.
According to a provision in the DSHEA Act of 1994, if we can prove kratom sales took place within the US prior to 10/15/94 kratom would be grandfathered in as a dietary supplement and protected.
During that time there indeed was significant commerce of Kratom through smoke shops and ethnic South East Asian stores, its just not well documented. Getting a hold of those records of sale would be a total game changer in our fight to protect kratom.
*this info was given during the AKA webinar that took place on 12/12/18.
