Diabetes and kratom

Post by DrPsilocybong »

I'm trying to introduce my brother to kratom but he absolutely can't stand the taste. I told him to try orange juice. Well he's diabetic and can't have orange juice.
Do you guys know anything he could use to mask the flavor and not mess with diabetes? Recipe would be great also. Thanks for any help as always. I appreciate it.

I make my own capsules up by hand. I use size "00" gelatin capsules which hold approximately 1/2 a gram although I've learned to pack them tight, so it's still important to weigh the kratom out.
They are very inexpensive from multiple sources on Amazon as well your local GNC store if you can't wait but they are kinda spendy there. You can buy smaller or larger capsules if you prefer.
There are lots of youtube videos showing how to scoop up kratom into capsules. You'll get the hang of it in no time. I've found this to be the best way to avoid tasting kratom altogether while also avoiding paying a premium for pre-capsuled product.

1.Gelatin or Vegetarian capsules (A capsule machine makes it SO much easier)
2. Oblate discs (My choice)

Followed by a tall glass of any non sugary beverage (Water, unsweetened tea, 'diet' drink, etc.)

My brother is diabetic and swallows it dry!

But...coffee lowers blood sugar and helps cut the taste.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the advice. I'll pass it along to him. The guy really needs the positive effects he just can't stomach it.
I tried to tell him after awhile it's not so bad

Sometimes after I take kratom (especially on an empty stomach) I feel a little "weak/shaky/hungry" and then almost immediately feel totally fine after I eat something. I know what the wobbles feel like and this sensation is completely different. I think kratom may mess with blood sugar, at least with me. If your brother is diabetic, he may want to approach this carefully.
