Local and GAIA Yellow Vietnam-Any other good vendors YV?

Ok, so I tried GAIA's YV which was good but not as good as I read- at least not compared to a local community vendor who had a batch I got a couple OZ from that was tremendous. Their next batch wasn't as good..Of course I'll order from GAIA again because they're fantastic but I'm looking at
A) different supplier of yellow Vietnam
and
B) different yellow strain similar to yellow vietnam

I'm set to try Liza's yellow Vietnam seeing as how everything she carries seems to work wonderfully. Anyone tried the Yellow Super she carries? The site shows a good review for it.

Has anyone recently ordered some GOOD YV from a vendor that they found to be of high quality? I'd be interested in hearing about some places. I know GAIA had a great Yellow Vietnam so I may check them out.

I don't know how many fans of yellows there are around - it's way less popular than red/white/green. I discovered a liking for yelllows relatively recently. Particularly yellow vietnam- I can take it at 5pm, it lasts until I go to bed and gives me a focused, relaxed energy. It just kind of puts me in an optimal mood or seems to because that's impossible sounding. I love cooking after burning some, it eliminates anxiety of all kinds and is a little euphoric- I enjoy spending chill time with my fiancé (I say chill- we're ~40 years old) after taking it, etc.

Is anyone a fan of a yellow strain that's not Vietnam? I'm looking at doing another order with Liza's and putting some Yellow Super (just sounds good) and Yellow Vietnam in there. I could ask her.

Yellows are hit and miss with me - the hits are great, but the misses can be down-right uncomfortable.
My absolute favorite yellow strain is Yellow Vietnam from Fresh Alternative. It’s a very unique strain. Smooth, happy, pain-free energy. It is a little more expensive than some other vendors, but in this case, you get what you pay for.
Greg’s Botanical had a pretty good YV and Herbal-RVA had a good Yellow Hulu back in the late Spring/early Summer. Don’t know how either of those are now.
My other favorite yellow strains are actually from Mystic Island. I love their Yellow Thai and Yellow Kapuas. Both of those have good euphoria and mood and aren’t edgy at all. I know they’ve been out of stock for a while though. I will add Smiley’s Yellow Bent into my favorites as well. He’s also got a Yellow Bali that looks interesting, but I haven’t tried it yet. It’s on my list though.
I’ve been buying a shit-load of Liza’s leaf, but haven’t tried any yellows yet - I guess I figured the Yellows will be the last to go as far as the fall leaf goes and I’ve still got some time. Not so much for the Reds, Greens, and Whites though. I think we are seeing the last really good batches of those now unless the Feds start releasing some of those tons they siezed.

I used to buy from GAIA but their quality dropped pretty low so i switched to Botanical bunny, Mystic Island and Herbal RVA. Those three vendors have better prices and way, way better quality. GAIA, for me, seemed not consistent. Seemed like not matter what I ordered, he would just put the sticker of whatever I ordered on the same type of kratom. No matter what i ordered, it seemed like all the same stuff. Kind of the same with Mystic, but you can tell Mystic really does have different kratom though. But mystic never seems to have any dark , fermented strains. All mystic strains are light green in color. With RVA or BB you really see the difference in color and taste, and notice the difference in effects. My advice, stay away from GAIA and look on the kratom price board on saidit.net.

I only ordered from Gaia one time but don't plan on going back.
I used Mystic Island a bit and can attest they DO have different kratoms that all look pretty much like light to dark greens - though the Vampire is def a RED as is their other super red strain; and their Gandalf and Phatcracker are definitely white/green types.

RVA sounds like it might have a good selection. I'd love to try Yellow Hulu and Indo if they carry those.

Fresh alternative I've never heard of but I will try them for Yellow Vietnam. I agree yellows seem to be more more hit and miss than any other strain . I guess yellows are not as easy to harvest/cure/ferment as whites and greens- I have never heard "his white MD was junk and did nothing in this batch but the last was great!" but I've heard it a lot about many yellows, particularly Vietnam.

I was going to try some of Liza's yellows like her Banjo, Jawi, Dragon - since those get so much praise in white/green/some red but Yellows are a different beast. And, of course, I'm confident in Liza since everything I've ordered from her has been A or A+. I don't know what her Yellow Super is but it has one 5-star review. Thinking of at least throwing in a couple of her yellows (Vietnam and one other) with my next order (happy-go-lucky, a red/maybe a white).

I'll read some more posts and re-read the two I replied to, decide and make my order. I MAY grab some off the shelf locally before ordering any non Vietnam yellow. I know they have yellow Hulu, MD, Indo, Thai and Bali. Heck, Yellow Thai might work well for me. Funny I started off loving whites, then greens, then reds- well mainly Red MD and Malay, now I'm getting into yellow. The strain seems really versatile, I don't know...

Yes. Got some, oh around a year ago.. wish I'd bought more. After the Reddit ban, Fresh Alternative fell off the map.. her website is like the most hidden, un-friendly thing and she's only on KC Forums which is also very closed, private, Members Only.

Screw that. I mean if vendors wanna make it hard to even SEE their stock.. y'know I guess they don't want, any more business.. Move 'em DOWN to bottom of the List.. I have 20 other vendors who are posting updates. Not hiding behind secret passwords and shit.

Herbal Salvation DID have good Yellow Vietnam. Gaia also at one time.. 2 years ago. Both of those vendors became un-reliable, hit & miss, some weak batches, some FDA problems. Gaia became associated with Triangle a head-shop supplier out of Las Vegas. It was reported that Gaia imports kratom 20 TONS at a time... hard to have much "Quality Control" when you're buying 20 tons of dirt & probably paying $17 per kilo.

I've never ordered from Stan David, but right now he's got a very good reputation.. I'd try his Yellow Vietnam!
