Jaya Kratom - is it worth the price?

Post by dantheleafman »

Recently opened up my wallet again for some very expensive Jaya Kratom. I like to try and review new vendors as I don't have access to many of the private vendors that are covered here. By the way, I am grateful to the reviewers of the private offerings as it helps me to determine what I might want to pick up on the Trading Post. So back to Jaya!

I ordered the East Borneo Wild Harvest, Central Borneo Maeng Da, and West Borneo White. While it hurt opening my wallet, at least what I received was prime, grade A, fresh kratom. All three "strains" were on par with the best private and public vendors I have sampled so far. The kratom is super fresh smelling, almost floral. Light and fluffy texture with a pleasant, non-bitter taste when taken via toss and wash with water. I even let the powder linger in my mouth a bit before swallowing. It was that pleasant.

Burns and mood effects are subjective, but all three strains provided me with strong mood lift, focus, and energy. In fact, it was difficult to distinguish between the three as all were what I would call "mid-upper." They may have other slower strains that I haven't tried. I don't take kratom for pain, so I can't speak to their analgesic effects, but they did have a nice warm body feel and relaxed my tense back muscles. I have nothing bad to say about this kratom other than it's expensive.

A footnote about a pleasant customer service experience I had. They have a retail store in Portland. Therefore, as an option at checkout, there's a choice to "pick up in-store" or "shipping." I didn't realize I had the "pick up in store" option selected when I checked out. I received an immediate order confirmation but after several days no shipping confirmation or tracking. I emailed their chatbot and received an immediate response explaining the reason for the delay in shipping. Obviously my mistake and I expected nothing other than for them to ship the order ASAP. Well, they ended up sending the whole thing for free, with apologies for the delay, and said they'd reconfigure the checkout process to avoid these situations in the future. I leave it up to you to decide for yourself whether that influenced my review.

So in summary, expensive but high-quality leaf and outstanding customer service that left me wanting more. They're harvesting and processing methods are also admirable. Worth a look in my opinion.

Note: I've been eating kratom for 3 years, but only found small batch kratom about 7-8 months ago. I dose about 15-20 grams per day if that helps you gauge my tolerance for effects. I don't use potentiators or try to "boost" effects in any way.

Hey, thanks for posting this review. I've also been wondering about this vendor, but havent been willing to pay that price. Few selections all from borneo left me skeptical, but obviously somethin had to be good unless why have a website(?)
Anyway, glad to hear they all hit for ya. Will have to save up my allowance to maybe get a bag soon.😄

i'm pretty curious about their kratom, so I succumbed to the allure of their sample pack.

The question about whether kratom is worth this kind of price is an interesting one. I mean, it's obviously not that the potency is so much higher than other of the excellent vendors that we like. So, it comes down (to me at least) whether there are strains in the selection that have a unique enough signature that I will want to have them around. I don't think it makes sense to quantify it, like i've seen done - that in order for it to be worth it, it would need to be x times 'as good' as other kratom....

But i decided to give it a shot. I do buy from another very expensive vendor (dg botanicals) and i have found that i very much like some of their strains, and yeah - i want to have them around. That's what it comes down to for me. I don't go through a strain that fast (maybe 2g per burn, and then i generally would only use once ever few days, or even weeks), so to me it can be worth it if i love the kratom.

But yeah - very curious, and will report back once i try some.

got my sample pack today, and tried some of the east borneo wild harvest. Loved it.

i won't get into the question of whether it's worth the price. i found this strain to be potent, and have a unique signature in how it makes me feel.

Awesome, keep us posted. I mentioned earlier that I almost bought a kilo on a special awhile back but that was just a little too big of a first bite.
