I have a lot of batches after being on the forum for a few months. This is how I keep track of rotation and I am going to start ranking the quality with a 3 star method (3 being excellent, 2=Ok, 1 =weak ). It is similar to book keeping. I use notepad. I have the Batch name, vendor initials and the date ( just the day date ).
How about you?
Sorry the pic is so hard to read. If you can't read it easy enough you can download it and enlarge it.
I tried something like that in the beginning as well however once I became ass-hole deep in kratom bags I gave up. It seemed like too much work at the time. I should have kept with it, I often kick myself for not doing so. As far as rotation goes I just grab whatever I feel like at the time. No real schedule at all, in fact, I will burn a good batch out if I really enjoy it.
Every time I dose I write it in a book with columns. Date...dose..vendor...batch. my rating is simply a happy face of various degrees . If eyes and smile have a circle (head) drawn around it, it's even better. If head has ears and hair, means I've accomplished blast off.
As far as rotation goes, I just glance back a few pages to see I'm not repeating.

Same here. I made a 3 ring binder notebook with a list of each vendor I purchased from and beneath their name a list of every strain purchased. I was going to make notes of when something ran out and add new ones so I'd have an inventory but it felt like work and I didn't want to work so stopped. Sort of wish I kept going with it. I also organized all my bags and keep them separated by vendor. I have letter-size plastic zipper bags I combine them in, then stored in boxes, not very organized anymore.
I journaled when I first started years ago, like a lot of folks. And like a lot of folks I stopped. Then I went to marking my bottles (I strictly take capsules of my own making) with a 1-5 to indicate quality and that's where it stands.
Only 4/5 is in my rotation, but periodically (like once a year) I review some of the older stuff (the 3's) and see if I was correct or not. Also something *can* fall out of rotation (rare, but it does happen) and new batches can replace any 4's. Oh, and I only mark the samples after I've tried them three times (they stay out of the racks until then) so it's pretty accurate, for at least how they affect me.
The problem I found with trying to evaluate any specific dose (as opposed to rating something I tried three or more times) is that nothing is that consistent. So something I said "this is tremendous" might also be a "well, so-so" the next time. And I chalk that up more to the particular time or day and/or situation (also - I ONLY rate my greens/whites first thing in the morning, when a dose hits the hardest, and my reds late at night, when I need them the most).

This is almost me exactly. Started with lofty record keeping intentions, applied severely undisciplined buying habits, soon amassed a mountain of kratom, the writing gig seemed like it needed a staff. Now its 20 open bags and a shotgun approach most days.

I am needing about 6gr of good red at 2am to sleep. I am taking 4gr. TOP White Hulk ( rated 2 ) + 1 gr. Otie's Jong Kong (3) this morning 8am. I will take about 5 gr. of a good green at 6pm. Then a good red at 2am again. That is my use for the last couple weeks. There is plenty of fire, and they are consistent. My pain is so bad without it and I can not sleep on a lower dose. Soon I will try lowering the dose daily. Finding the lowest "sweet spot", effective dose is the challenge.
you guys ever get sleepy fast if you mix speedy green with very relaxing red? its like a knock out. some batches i noticed are best when not mixed and used alone.
I use a Google Sheet which I can access from anywhere (laptop, cell..). I set up some formulas to tally the total amount I've taken in a day, and also have a sheet which shows the vendors/strains and the last date I dosed them. When I want to dose I sort the vendors/strains by date last taken and use one that I haven't had in a while. I usually go with Whites in the morning, Greens during the day, and Reds at night. Works really well for me.

I bet it does work well, it's an excellent strategy!

I am doing something very similar in a spreadsheet. I am getting low on reds and greens. I am wondering what is a workable rotation of good powder. I don't have a lot of room to store 100 bags of Kratom, SO I was wondering what you thought was a reliable rotation schedule. I am down to about 10 days now. I am hoping it will work with rotating different strains/vendors every 4 days? or is that too soon?

Same. But also realizing how ridiculous & silly this is, and like Lokey, Kelley, and others - I dropped the "Notebook" thing
C'mon... The whole kratom Mythology, is just SO fake and wrong... And all designed, by some very smart people, to Sell sell sell ya more "strains"
I mean someone should write-up a Kratom Education Timeline, for the typical Journey of the average "Kratomite"... LOL
Banned on Reddit: KratomVendors is now on SAIDIT!
Please check out my current Auctions/ Sales on MM Trading Post! I'm also on MeWe/ Saidit/ Reddit. Thanks!

Go for it, but make it overly sarcastic, or I won't read it ! *harrumph*
I made a few notes on the first 8-10 kratoms (strains, batches, whatever) that I had. It doesn't matter, either it seems to help, or it tastes like crap and does nothing. If it seems to help, then great, take it, and then get on with yer life. That's it, that's my entire kratom how-to guide.
