Treasure House - Red Piamen
I decided after reading a thread on here a few months ago to purchase a few strains from TTreaure House Botanicals.
The thread mentioned that the Red Piamen was a good red strain and that it had some unique qualities as it was a flash-frozen elephant strain.
In any event, I bought Red Piamen, Green Piamen, Red JongKong, and Modern Red MD, all from batch #31.
Like others have mentioned, the Piamen has a unique taste, a bit more bitter than most, but also a sort of sappy, evergreen like taste that I find quite pleasant. When examining the powder up close, it has little bits of brown scattered throughout (the strain almost reminds me a bit of the taste and bitterness of Akuamma as well as the coloring of these bits, however I suspect that they are stem & vein)
I have since read raving reviews about the green and red Piamen.
My experience, however, has been rather..."meh". I'm actually quite surprised as this strain has almost done nothing for me. I tried it three times now, and each time I had the same results - fairly lackluster effects. I do suppose that it was pain relieving, but it lacked any real headspace. It did not seem to be very muscle or mind relaxing, not as much as some other reds can be.
I do realize that my perception of this strain is not popular. I will continue to try it at different times to see if I can make out what effect profile it has, however that has been the challenge for me; it has been difficult for me to tell what effects it has.
Anyone else care to chime in on the effect profile that you noticed from this strain? For me, a good red must be pain relieving, somewhat sedating/relaxing, and it gets bonus points for euphoric notes.
Here's how I'd break it down:
Pain relief: 4/5
Sedation/relaxation: 3/5
Euphoria: 1/5
For reference, I have numerous strains that consistently provide equal or better pain relief with much more pronounced head space, but maybe its just me?

I recently grabbed a few batch #33's. The red piaman which I agree with what you described. Not much of any head space (I like that description), pretty meh for me
My favorite by far from my order was the white MD Jong Kong. I actually took it by itself yesterday and I never do that with whites. Energizing but not too much stimulation
The red maeng da sample they included was much more up my alley for what I look for in a red. Again batch 33.... not quite up to the Socal red Cambo or bb rojo loco, but definitely very solid

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one.
I've heard so many good reviews about batch 31 though.
I still have yet to sample the modern red md or the red JongKong so I'm hoping they'll be better

Good review. Nice to hear an objective one.. Its a tough time for reviews. I'm probably guilty of buying TOO much stuff, around Nov, Dec, before winter & then being over loaded with NEW samples.. not giving them a fair shake.Anyone else care to chime in on the effect profile that you noticed from this strain?
We have.. a preference for Green (and whites) over Reds. Why? Because most reds these days, don't seem to do much. Some DO make you more sedated or sleepy.. but my 1st burn of the Day, I don't wanna go back to sleep.
Green Piaman > Red piaman. Hmm... guess what. Green Big Bang also > over Red BB. And.. Green Asia much stronger > Red Asia. OH, and Wild Green? always better than Wild Red. Green Hulu stronger > Red Hulu... see a pattern here?
NOT surprised, that Red piaman feels a bit weaker than Green - I need to TEST them both again. A bigger issue = Which vendors, or suppliers, have really strong reds? Most vendors' strongest leaf, is their PMD, a green. PMD is green.. A few vendors get a decent Red Bali. But... Many of the reds, again, just put me to sleep. I've got some Red Mahakam like that.. the Green Maha is fine!

Re: Treasure House - Red Piamen
I got the Green Piaman batch #33 a few days ago.
I have felt the burn twice already and I sense bad timing as I have been stressed both burns and no significant effects that I’ve noticed.
I got the White Piaman batch #33
as a sample too so will take both again come Monday!
The GPiaman is the only one I’ve tried so far and a good burn but I sense I need more since I didn’t find it sufficiently satisfying... I don’t recall the primary effects the GPia typically offers ppl but I thought it was the type to have noticeable mood lift and or “euphoria”...
To be determined...

Re: Treasure House - Red Piamen
This is very interesting to me...We have.. a preference for Green (and whites) over Reds.
A few years ago (2016ish) I cam across a number of Reds that I fell in love with: Red Hulu and Red Bali from SoCal, a Red Indo from kratom Virtue, and few others from different vendors.
While I have many outstanding whites (white bali, hulu, maeng da, and ketapang from RVA, a few from SoCal and precious mitre), I have very few greens that I would say are great (I have a thai and hulu from Motark and RVAs original PMD that I liked).
Maybe it's just luck of the draw?
