Smileytime Herbal Best Strains (in your personal opinion)

I'm about to order from smileytime herbals for the first time and could really use some guidance on which strains are good for someone who mostly digs on red and white strains. I could also use a heads up on some euphoric green strains as well since I am branching out into the wonderful world of euphoric green vein strains. I've been a hardcore red and white vein enthusiast for the past 2 1/2 years now, but I am finding it harder and harder to find strong euphoric red strains that aren't mostly sedating these days - even when dropping dosage or blending with green and/or white strains (unless I chase this with a heaping amount of caffeine). Smileys just has a ginormous selection of strains to choose from so any help in narrowing down a selection would be extremely appreciated.

I just received SGM, supreme, red bali, dragon fire and yellow Vietnam. Like them all but supreme and dragon fire were my favorites after trying them once

I was pleased with Super Green 3, but like with any strain, don't take 2 days in a row. I liked it so much, I took it 3 days in a row and the nice mood boosting effects went significantly down. I'm looking for more strains that are excellent from Smiley, because I'm ready to put another order in.

Over the past month I've tried his Gold Bent, Red Sandai, Red Aceh, Premium Red Thai, Super MDJongKong, Green Monster, Super Green #3, Monster Mash, and Super Green Malay. Most I've only tried once, but so far Super Green #3 and Red Aceh are my favorites. SG#3 had great mood lift and lasted longer than average. The Red Aceh was a good combo of mood lift and pain relief. It seemed to take a little longer to kick in, so might require a little patience.

Supergreen3, Green Samarinda, Red Horn, White Kali, Red Aceh, White Banjo, Red Aceh, Red Vietnam and Green Pucuk are all very good. The Sandai strains and Ketapang strains are good too. It’s hard to go wrong with Smiley Time.

I went SG3, Red Bali, SGJKMD(love it for some reason, this batch was actually better then the last one I ordered.), S&V, and Prem Red Thai. I got a sample of the SGM and wish I would've ordered it. All were good choices, but I burned through that SGM in a few days. Maybe I'll place another order this weekend and ask Smiley for suggestions.

I like them all,,everything every color,,I'm burning red Vietnam now,,dam good,euphoric, wow, ,I have tried a lot of the greens, ,favorite super green 3,, I haven't got anything I didn't like with smileytime ,hahaha! I got a new order today, ,tried the green monster with yellow Vietnam 1st, felt great, ,,and now this,,,

The Red MDJK was the weakest that I received out of . . .Red Bali, Red Vietnam, Super Green, Yellow Vietnam.

I thought the Super Red MDJK was average. Not that that's bad, it just wasn't a standout for me.

I’ve got the Super Red, Green, White, and Gold Jongkongs but they were from November. They were decent. I thought the Gold was probably the best of those.

The P.Green Thai is so bunk that I'm going to order more this week, just to be sure, same with the Y.Vietnam

Got my Smiley Time package today. I started with the Yellow Vietnam- it gets a thumbs up from me. The euphoria started within the first 10 minutes. Then I noticed my mood suddenly improved tremendously. There’s a little energy hiding in the background too. Not a lot of pain relief, but I like it anyway.

But then - after about an hour, I decided I couldn’t wait any longer to sample the Red Bali so I topped off the YV with 2g of the Bali and Wow! Euphoria went through the roof. I’ve got to remember to try this as a blend all at once.

Love Smiley's Yellow Vietnam. Did a second buy just a few days ago. Really nice mellow leaf. I'd say comfortable! Thanks for the Red Bali tip. Headed to the stash right this minute to to pull those out.

My last order from Smiley Time was a split half with Yellow Vietnam, Red Bali, Red Aceh, Red Vietnam, and Green Aceh. Plus he threw in a sample of the new supposedly super-strong PMD. I definitely like the reds. The Red Bali is a good “Green” red. The other 2 are more typical of reds - kind of a dusky brown green. I’ve tried everything but the Red Aceh. It used to be my favorite red from Smiley, so we’ll see. The Red Bali (031419) is good- very good. I’ve also been trying out SoCal’s current Red Bali and it is also very good - probably a little better than Smiley’s. The Yellow Vietnam is great - I don’t think it’s as good as my bag of YV from Fresh Alternative, but it’s definitely good. All smiles after burning that one. The Red Vietnam I also like - good euphoria and pain relief. But the Green Aceh - that one may be my favorite out of this outstanding order. The new PMD is just as he claims- strong as hell and long, long legs. I’m sure it’s great if you are a PMD fan. I’ve only had a few that I really liked. But the Green Aceh- it is a great slow green with awesome mood. Reminds me a lot of Johnson’s Green Boyan or even RVA’s first batch of Green Aceh (But Smiley’s is considerably stronger). I thought it would be a little faster, but to me, it’s on the slower side. It’s definitely found a place in my favorite greens from Smiley. I’m kinda wanting to try the new Wild Green Bota, but right now I’m definitely happy with the Aceh. Also very happy with this last order. Once again- no disappointments from STH!

Smiley gets it out quick but once it goes to the sorting facility, who knows where it's going to end up. I'm in N.C. and this time the package decided to check out Dallas, Texas for a day, then to Charlotte, Fayetteville, and finally to me in Wilmington tomorrow. I think I need to work for USPS and straighten their logistics out. Damn stoners.

When I used to order from Mystic, who is about 3 miles from my house, it would go all the way over to Fayetteville, then back to Wilmington. LMAO. They can't set up mini-sorting facilities for local mail? It's literally a 5 minute drive from my house and once took 4 days to get to me.

Lol, yeah I'm 3 hours from Mr. Smiley but the package went from Lexington to Louisville to Nashville then will come to me. I don't mind waiting, but it's just kind of funny how the Postal Service works.

I think I’m just going to lay in bed with the filthy felines for awhile. I ran out on Sunday so I’ve been in WD all week. I feel it going through my limbs now and the aches are dissipating. Lol.

WOW! A 4 days without dosing. That's impressive Scotty! It's been years since I've taken more than a day off. If I miss a dose I'm reminded pretty quickly by the uncomfortable way I feel. You're definitely going to enjoy yourself

Its astounding how red lovers don't get much out of greens and green lovers don't feel reds. Whats fire to some is smoke to an other.

I always though that I was for the most part solely a red lover as well..... then, I realized that if ya find the right euphoric, analgesic, and slow speed greens they can be just as good if not even better in some ways at times. Just thought was worth a mention since like I said thought I was just a REDS LOVER as well!

Ace, You know its funny about this red/green thing. Some greens are just like reds I swear. The slow greens a perfect example. I think too much is made of the vein color and not enough of the curing. The Green Malawi from KOG for example. I dont care what they call it that stuff is a RED, lol. And you know Ace you are a red lover and when you like a green its cause that green is really a red or has a lot of red. A green lover wouldn't be able to appreciate all the great slow reds like you do. A green/white lover will never understand the Kraydo Red Asia or Malay for example. They are looking for something else. The red effects are off their radar. When you take Kratom for pain your body is primed for a whole new spectrum of effects that a true green/white guy couldnt fathom. That's why people can read a review jump on the new strain and not duplicate the reviewers experience. Know what I mean?

That was an absolutely awesome well put explanation on that scenario. I have never read nor heard anyone put the differences between supposed particular "vein color lovers" like that but it definitely made perfect sense.... At least to me! I can surely agree with the fact that there's a high probability that people such as us with chronic pain issues, insomnia, or any other problems that "Red veins" are usually suggested for are pre-programmed in a way to feel full effects and find satisfaction with those strains. And adversely, people with fatigue and or depression of sorts maybe pre disposed to finding comfort with "green, white, or even yellow vein" variants. Great input swablero that seriously brightened my day a bit! This forum is so awesome, and just keeps getting better and bigger and gaining more and more knowledge base, I love it.

I just got in an order of 9 different strains from Smiley and so far have only had the chance to try White Banjo, but if the other 8 are like White Banjo, I have struck gold.

Within an hour after taking dosing, I felt a lovely relaxation in my arms and legs - tbh, it felt very much like hydrocodone does when it (the hydrocodone) first starts to make itself known. That lasted for maybe 10 - 15 minutes and ultimately resolved into a nice clean energy. I felt alert and clear-headed and ended up getting a lot done, both around the house and on the computer. Throughout it, my mood felt light and energized - don't know how else to explain it. The nicest thing about it was that my mood and energy became self-perpetuating because I was so pleased about getting so much done. The whole experience was just very pleasant, very light and clear. The dose that I took was less than a gram - 0.82g according to my scale - but I do have very low tolerance so others may need more.
I'm very much looking forward to trying the other 8 strains!

Just an aside: I really like what Mr Smiley (I don't know his name) is doing with putting batch numbers and packing dates on his bags. I wish all vendors did that. Smiley Time is fast becoming one of my favorite vendors, right up there with K-OG .

100% right. All the wild growth in Melawi is red vein. Its the vast majority of wild growing type in Indonesia. Sometimes red becomes white on the same leaf when older, but its red pretty much always. All in the processing. The reason its green is because I have a fermented red version, a gold version thats the fermented red and white melawi. But you are correct, Green Melawi would fall better into a "red" category based on effects. And it would be a very good red. If you check my site, I write about this on the Red Indo strain content and the whole "green/reds" thing. Also, the previous sample I had of green melawi was a bright green like the bota (Bota, is a name I made up with NGB, like Banjo, surprised to see others with that name) and was also more energetic. Things vary batch to batch as well. But we cant share effects..

Thank you Harry! The "green red" concept in the Red Indo description on your web site is perfect and as a green-red lover that category is really useful. The "green" Malawi you have now is a classic example. Thank you for your insight.

Good middle speed red for me. Good euphoria and pain relief. Mood is there too and it’s not too sleepy. I guess I’d say there’s not much sedation or energy, but I could sleep if i want to.
