Hi all. I wanted to chime in.
Red Bali from SoCal = AMAZING.
I would suggest lowering your dose with that one. Wow. Blew me away.

Sad it was around way longer than I thought it would be. SoCal must have had a fair amount of it. It was a rare 10/10 Im gonna cherish what I have left.WhiteAngelica wrote:It is official. I wrote to Justin and the Red Bali is GONE.
For good.
The end.
So has anyone had any leaf that compares to it. It's not just strength. There are many strong reds out there. I think it's the best green/red not only because of it's strength but also it's unique alkoloid profile I boost the dosage on a lot of reds gold's yellows and don't get that the same euphoric relaxing boost so it's not just the strength alone. What is that magic alkoloid? Alkoloid X! Maybe it's just me that feels this way I don't know. And this is a silly post.
Mr Smiley has a very nice red Bali that I really like. I just don't think it is as good as SoCal's because it doesn't have that unique profile. The KOG Green Malawi is similar. I look forward to trying their Yello Viet. Anyone else have any suggestions about where to look for that new green red.

I’m with you Swablero. Who knows, it’s only April- maybe their next batch will be even better. I know I’ve been checking their site daily and would roll the dice and order a quarter if it shows up. I should have got another quarter of this last batch, but oh well. Funny thing is I don’t even like the vast majority of SoCal’s leaf. But the Cambodians and the Red Bali (1) are excellent. I’m digging Smiley’s Bali as well. Burned a little last night. Tonight’s gonna be SoCal’s with a little of Liza’s Green Banjo.
Wish I did know of a good green colored red right now. I’ve got Smiley’s Premium Red Thai on the way and a previous batch I bought was very green, but honestly, I was a little disappointed with that one. Hopefully this one will be a standout.
I recently asked Liza if she had any “green” reds, and she didn’t offer a strain right off - said she’d have to look. Most all of the reds I’ve got from her are more brownish and fermented. But some of those are damn good too.

In my opinion SOSA has some of my favorite green colored reds which says a lot because I've come to a point where I typically like darker colored strains and yes even fermented ones. But, I have yet to try any oven baked dark colored leaf that I've enjoyed or even gotten much effects from for that matter.jabro70 wrote:I’m with you Swablero. Very true Jabro. Only April and I'm buying like its summertime, lol. I certainly will try the restock from SoCal.jabro70 wrote:I’m with you Swablero. I agree the ST R Bali is really nice. Ive been blending a few strains lately to get variation on the SoCal Red Bali vibe. I was surprised at the effect of blending it with the Kraydo Red Asia. Became even more intense somehow. I dont know if the Asia is fermented but it really hits hard on the analgesic part of the spectrum normally but you dont notice that when blended. A few hours into the dose and the heaviness starts to take over and you need some white like the white melawi to balance it out and keep your eyes open. Same with the Red Tanaga and Green Malawi - In my mind a lot of the greens are really red. Its almost as if these other lift the SoCal RB even more. The category of Red-Greens is closer to the greens than they are to the heavier Reds.

I have really enjoyed the Indo, Horn, Borneo, and Sunda and actually just as much so the Gold MD!! The red Indo and red horn are definitely slow, strong analgesia, super realizing nighttime burns for me. The Borneo is a little bit more mid-slow to mid spec and the Sunda has been a little elusive for me.but I love it hahaha sometimes it's super heavy and sometimes it's mid spec. And for me. I would lump the Gold MD right in with Red Indo and Red Hornswablero wrote:Ace, which particular green reds do you like from Sosa?acejestyr15 wrote:

Of the 9 strains I have from Kraydo, I find the Red Asia to be the most potent followed by R.Malay andswablero wrote:Funny thing is I don’t even like the vast majority of SoCal’s leaf. R.Jongkong, (the R.Aceh ain't bad either) though I've found every one of them to be above average.
I haven't a clue as to why Kraydo's Reds are so effective for me, but they haven't let me down yet. I
can say the same for ST. I've branched out a little more into greens and I'm finding that ST's Greens
are pretty on spot too.
For me, I felt that ST's R.Bali was a bit more potent than SoCal's. Don't get me wrong, I loved
the last batch of SoCal's R.Bali...all around excellent leaf to be sure, but ST's heat was slightly
stronger. Just goes to show how much body chemistry/metabolism figures into the equation. I do
know I've seen a number of members that felt differently. I suppose I'm going to have to test drive
them both again soon and reassess them. It wouldn't surprise me if I were to have the opposite
conclusion. It's happened before.
As to the Cambodians....I'm right there with you on them. Both are excellent and I've also found
the R.Sulawesi to be very good. A nighttime blend of R.Cambodian:R.Sulawesi always hits the spot.
I'm trying to bring myself to sample the G.Sulawesi but I have so much open product that I'm hard
pressed to open more. One thing's for certain, the comments from the folks on DoubleM have provoked
me to open more than I care to admit!
share!

InstantKarma, yeah I know about the open bags dives me crazy too having so much open shit. I dont really have much space, it was never like that before I came to this forum.
yeah I can understand your opinion about the Red Bali. They are both strong. What I like about the SoCal has to do with its alkaloid profile I think. It just has more mood boost and relaxation. Not that the ST Red isnt far behind. Its so subjective. I have bought a lot of the Socal so maybe there is some kind of subconscious bias going on.

I’m a little late to the party but just received my 1st order from SoCal. Got 250g of Green Sulawesi and since I was a first time customer they through in a sample of Red Sulawesi and a sample of White Cambodian. I just burned the Green Sulawesi a few hours ago, and it is FIRE. Still feeling great. Looking forward to trying the red tonight. On top of good cost and great quality Kratom, It took 43 hours to arrive from CA to NY. They found themselves a new customer. That’s for sure.

Re: SoCal service! &nd F!re batch!
Not being a Facebooker I have no access to kratom vendor information if it isn't on here. By chance, sheer chance, I happened to buy some of this good batch of SoCal Red Bali, really liked the sample, & turned around & bought a bunch. I hadn't had a good RB for quite a while so it was a real blessing. But after a while I started getting real dizzy, headaches, crummy feeling whenever I took it. I'm one of those low dose people... 1-2 g is my range for just about anything. I lowered my dose & same thing. Then any of my regular strains made me sick as heck. Greens, reds, bents... all made me sick. Kinda strange. So I decided to pull out my ancient kratom - the stuff I bought 2 years ago that I didn't like & crammed into a dark corner. Heck if that stuff didn't suddenly hit the spot without making me feel sick. Now I love it, which is good & bad. Good because it won't go to waste, bad because once gone, they're gone forever.
I just got in a bunch of samples from Herbal Salvation. It's my first order from them. I tried 2g of the Green MD. It just gave me an initial mood lift, very pleasant by the way, and then boom - the lights went out. I could not stay awake. I could hear everything going on around me but my body went into like hibernation. It lasted about 2 hours. Definitely a nighttime strain. I really like it because I have insomnia but hate sleeping pills & melatonin.
