Texas Family Harvest (Gumbyke1)
I was fortunate enough to be a tester this round. I am very appreciative of the opportunity and frankly this has been the best leaf I’ve ever encountered. I hope there is a business opened by him and his team sometime in the future. Alas I do understand his issues, but am still happy to have even experienced it.
Aside from the fact that the leaf is the literal best around, it is evident that Gumby genuinely cares about people and the ethical and responsible sourcing of material. I am more than positive that he does the testings for our benefit (out of generosity) and he spends/has spent an inordinate amount of time to keeping people informed about the industry. I for one learned so much from him through these forums. You can’t help but want to support someone and their company that are genuine, kind, helpful, and experienced.
As far as the leaf being reviewed: The ones I am reviewing are wild green sumpur, green maeng da, and red aceh, all received via testing batches.
They all have a wonderful taste and fine grind, very light, not dense powder. It was all very fresh. I typically toss and wash with water then drink milk or juice afterwards. I think I could probably chase it down with just water and be okay, but am not that adventurous.
First up, the green sumpur had amazing euphoria and incredible sense of general well being. I would love to be able to use this daily for energy and to stay motivated at completing tasks. There was this contentment that came along with it, and is especially helpful for symptoms of adhd, so you want to compete your task and are focused, but don’t want to move around too much. Such a great balance. It did have a shorter duration than normal or expected, lasting in total from peak to subsiding effects at 3 hours. It is a faster spec, and the effects peaked quite quickly at around 30 minutes.
Next, the green maeng da has been my favorite. It has everything I enjoy, including intense euphoria. Additionally there was good energy, general feeling of well-being, anti-anxiety and very long lasting. The effects lasted for at least a good 4.5-5 hours with lingering effects felt and peaked at about 30 minutes. I did not feel tired at all afterwards which was great. What a joy this was to dose. This was faster spec.
Lastly, the red aceh is a fantastic pain reliever and has inflammation reducing properties. I’d never experienced that before—I usually take ibuprofen for inflammation and didn’t need to after taking. It has this clean feeling to it, that attributed towards reduced swelling/inflammation and pain relieving properties. While it didn’t have strong euphoria, it did have a good relaxing quality to it and general sense of well-being, that everything is okay. The best part was that it provided excellent energy as well for about 2 hours. The energy subsided after roughly 2.5-3 hours and there was no tired after feelings. This is wonderful for those that like daytime reds and for those that need an effective pain reliever without the feelings of drowsiness or slowing down. This was mid to fast spec.

I've also tested for Gumbyke and concur with everything you said. Some of the best leaf I've ever had. I got Green Maend Da in a test sample as well, and it was the best green maend da I've experienced. And like you said, He's a great guy too.

I loved the Wild Green Sumpur - it had great energy, euphoria and mood (and it lasted forever). A fantastic wake-up strain.
I enjoyed the Red Aceh- had great pain relief and I slept like a baby. Don’t know about its legs because it knocked me the hell out.
The Red Hangat Suma was by far my favorite Red though. Fantastic euphoria and mood. Great relaxer that didn’t knock me out.
The best pure pain reliever for me was the Wild Premium Bali. Not a lot of anything else with it, but it will completely eliminate any pain I have. Also it has neutral energy so I can take it in the morning if i wanted.
The Green Aceh was kinda slow, definitely euphoric and very relaxing. I couldn’t take that one in the morning.
I still have a couple left to try, but most everything I have tested has been Superb. That’s some great leaf Gumby.

A very fair question ... without a very fair answer. Technically we have been open for business, just not open to new customers. My wife and I have discussed opening things up to some members of Double M - I consider this place my kratom home. However, we are taking things slow to do them the right way - our whole mission is not to compromise on quality. This is the first community I will open things up to when/if that time comes.BallzDeep9 wrote:I guess I'm just wondering out loud... When do they open for business ?? "NOT knock ya' out sedating with euphoria and very nice mood boost!" It's top shelf and just
damn fine leaf! When I tested it the first time for Gumby, I thought it was very very good, but
the second time around...wOw!
Now I can't wait to go back for a second shot at the other test leaf he sent. All of the test batches that
I've been fortunate enough to try have been high quality all around!

AGREED! I absolutely love the Red Hangat Suma. I had tested it after I wrote started this thread. It was my favorite red out of the samples. For me it had a great body to it and warmth. Such high quality leaf, quite spectacular.instantKARMA wrote:I got the exact same feel from the Red Hangat Suma...it was super relaxing, but, as you said,jabro70 wrote:I loved the Wild Green Sumpur - it had great energy, euphoria and mood (and it lasted forever).

Hey Gumby is it possible your PM inbox folder is full? I think you can only have 150 PM's and the system just stops allowing you to receive any more. I've run into that issue with a couple of other people on here that have called this home for a while...gumbyke1 wrote:Hey Jabro, I'm sorry I'll send you the link this evening! If this is true you can either delete some of them OR create a secondary folder to move some of them out of the main inbox. There's info about this on one of the forum sticky threads about PM's I believe

Sorry, I’m basing this off trades I’ve done with him and samples he’s sent me for testing. Some of the test samples weren’t exactly fire, but he won’t stock those. The samples he sent me that he indicated he will carry are all some of the best I’ve ever had. I don’t know if he has officially opened for business yet, but I’ll definitely place a large order when he does. I’m sure he will let us know when he starts accepting customers.CatfatherB wrote:trigger wrote:TFH is in my top 3 vendors for consistency and potency. Connosoire level leaf. Truly unique.

Hi Gumby! If you are willing/able/looking to add any new members can you let me know? I am chronic pain sufferer who works a very physical job and am not able to take any narcotics due to my work in the medical field. I am always on the lookout for good pain relief strains and yours sound fantastic.

Yeah, all these good reviews got my attention, I thought I may have missed that, it's cool he's using test samples and not stocking the mediocre for his customers though, I'll have to keep a better eye on TFH' s membership, it don't look like anyone's ready to put up their samples on the trading post anytime soon!!
Soul better watch out, there's a new kid in town!!

Hey thanks so much for the kind words, everyone! The communities support means so much to us and your input is really making a difference... slowly but surely it's having a real-life impact on our production processes. Since beginning this journey we have made some serious strides, much of that could not be done without the thousands of surveys submitted by the kratom communities most dedicated.
You can be sure that we will announce it on this forum first if we ever decide to publically open our membership.
Thanks, everyone!

Just wanted to chime in with my two cents. So far I've tried the 30 yr wild TFH and a green whose name I can't currently recall. Both absolutely blew me away. Potent, but smooth is really the most succinct way I can describe my experience so far.
That Gumby and Co. go above and beyond to bring some incredible media, information, and education to their customers and the community is some seriously nice icing on the cake.
Between the quality of the product, and passion for what they're doing, TFH may just represent the next leap forward in vending in states. I can't wait to get home and test the next sample!

The 30 year TFH has some of the cleanest, smoothest alkaloid balance my brain has tasted yet to this date. He was not lying when speaking about mature trees having a better alkaloid balance

Hey! Nice to meet you and thank you for the warm welcome! I happened upon this Kratom by the way of "right place, right time". I am extremely blessed to have been included in this testing round as TTF is a private company not currently accepting new customers. I met Chris from TTF Via Discord (online contact only obviously) - I would suggest putting yourself into discord servers related to your interests if you haven't already. I have met some people in industries I had never hoped to speak to thru Discord just by talking in communities I enjoy. I actually had no idea that Chris was the same Chris from these forums until after he had asked me to become a tester! He even offered to negate the (extremely cheap) 2 dollar shipping cost if I could not get my card working. I am so seriously impressed with this guy and his love for the plant Kratom. He is exactly the type of community member that is needed during these times.BallzDeep9 wrote:You're not a Member of MM here ( just signed on ) But you're a Customer of TFH ?? Welcome to MM... I would highly suggest dropping by a few of the Kratom discords If I were you - you will meet notorious members of the community you only previously were able to read the posts of. I can be a dickhead on discord occasionally, so try not to let my brashness reflect on the rest of the Kratom Discord Community. Although occasionally misguided, they are some of the nicest discord people I have encountered to date!

What is really interesting is that except for the Red Hangat Suma, I got nearly the exact opposite effects! Green aceh was energizing, green sumpur I couldn't take in the morning, and red aceh warmth and great pain relief to it but quite energizing. Kratom and human chemistry is an odd thing!
I agree with the Wild Premium Bali though too, I felt really "normal" on it, but it was really refreshing. It felt like full spectrum or something.

I tried the Green Aceh again and it was a little more energizing. The Sumpur is all gone now, but every burn with it was energetic to me.

Re: Texas Family Harvest (Gumbyke1)
I've been doing another go-round of each of the test strains sent by Gumbyjabro70 wrote:I tried the Green Aceh again and it was a little more energizing. The Sumpur is all gone now, but every burn with it was energetic to me.
and every strain I've retried is even better the second time! Gumby's leaf
is simply remarkable, all things considered!

The sumpur samples stood out far ahead of anything else I sampled in strength and duration.

Agreed, I only had the green but it was quite unrivaled. I had not experienced such general well-being since the honeymoon phase and tbh it was a better experience all around.FartBlaster wrote:The sumpur samples stood out far ahead of anything else I sampled in strength and duration.

His green simpur for sure stands out above other Kratoms in terms of potency as well as duration. You don't expect to feel it then it smacks you really good. The good kind of smackedFartBlaster wrote:The sumpur samples stood out far ahead of anything else I sampled in strength and duration.
That being said, I must say his 30 year wild TFF strain is hands down my favorite kratom I have ever tried. It isn't close to the strongest batch I have ever had but something about it just feels amazing. At any time of day I find it can completely turn my mood around.
Something fun to try is a 3 way mix between the Green Simpur, White Vietnam and the Red Jungle MD. I swap the red jungle for the 30 year wild TFF in the mornings. This combo is a surefire way to get me feeling real good. I wouldn't call any of his kratom "sedating" in regular doses. I find them all to be very similar once you pass the 4 gram dose territory. Something I have began to notice the more and more I switch between the "strains" each day is that most Kratoms feel pretty similar. It seems to be the dose that has the largest impact on effects. I have also had kratom that made me nauseous even on the lowest doses so I do believe alkaloid balance has a large part to do with it. I just believe that at higher doses it tends to give enough 7-H to cause section regardless of the "strain"
I hope you are all enjoying it as much as I am! Seriously this was a life saver to receive and I am having so much fun pretending to be a kratom guru with my 8 different bags I use for different things (usually I would have at most 2 bags at once 0.0 after this I will be doing primarily 4 way splits)

I didn't get to try the most recent batch because I tested others the month or two before, but I thought the ones I did try were just decent. Good leaf to be sure, just not as amazing as everyone in this thread seems to think. I've had batches from other vendors that I was more impressed with. Nothing against gumbyke, so please don't get me wrong. Maybe the September batch is just significantly better than the summers?
