Motarkbest 4 strain review

Ordered from one of the only OGs i ever see or have seen mentioned here: Motarkbest.

Ive been taking kratom since about 2014 and back through then til about 2016 motark best, socal herbal, herbal salvation and a few others were always the top guys on forums like reddit.

Motark Green hulu kapuas from 2016 i want to say was and is one of THE most raved about kratoms i have ever heard of and done. It was absolutely amazing. And this was with a huge (and still huge) tolerance to this day. Look up on reddit "motark green Hulu"... You will see what im talking about. All over "whats your all time best strain?" Posts.

So i had to throw some of that in my cart.

In all i got a split kilo for $87 shipped. Ordered late Monday, was here by 1pm Thursday. Ive gotten around to trying them all.

I got (also in order from best to least favorite):

1. Green maeng da
2. Green malay
3. Red borneo (and i am NOT a red guy)
4. Green Hulu (dissapointedly!!!)

Reviews:

Greed maeng da: 10/10 effects
Aroma: 11/10.. Smells so damn fresh and POTENT its ridiculous. Nice average green color to it. But has this potent backround "hit" when you smell the bag that all the other bags dont have. It literally just SMELLS potent lol.. And is.

Within 10 minutes of taking it time after time, i get smacked with a huge relief feeling and a clean energy. Almost like a pink would do - just perfect blend of sedation and energy. Insane pain relief. This strain has to be one of my all time favorites ever. Right up there with his 2016 GHK if im remembering correctly. Its unbelieveable how quick the onset is and how powerful it comes on. Since ive been taking kratom daily, its almost like im usually questioning 30 mins in "do i feel it?" Most days but not with this one guys! Pinned pupils the whole shebang.

Green Malay: 9/10
Aroma: 10/10.. Definitely the Freshest and probably even the lightest most vibrant green i have ever seen and smelt. Smells like it was JUST grinded fresh off the tree and looks like it as well. I asked motark which of his strains he reccomended as i hadnt bought from him since early 2018 i want to say and he said his Malay was #1 right now with GHK and GMD as close 2nd and 3rds.

Smooth clean energy. Middle of the road - typical Malay here. But very potent. I want to rate it a 10/10 but I simply cant with how good that GMD is. Sorry motark. First non- 10/10 review ever on one of your strains (from me - every strain has been a 10/10. Every. Single. Time.) Comes on like normal kratom but just has a long lasting clean focusing effect (look: typical malay..albeit higher quality)

Again. This is 100%, by far the greenest and freshest smelling kratom I have ever seen and had. Its almost like those stupid photoshopped pictures a lot of vendors have of "their" kratom in a bowl lol (looking at you - smiley time herbal!!! Sorry ive never had your kratom but im new on this forum and googled your site after seeing you guys mentioned here so much and the 2nd pic on google results is exacrtly what im talking about. Others are more exaggerated but i highly doubt that pic was untouched.. Ill have to try your kratom sometime with all these reviews but so many of these vendors listed on here on ones I NEVER heard of pre ban days and so I am wary of trying anyone i am not familiar with)


Red borneo: 10/10
Aroma: 9/10? Smells good. Red smell. Lol.

Effects are definitely on the greener side but with the red undertone. Great strain. Not much of a red guy so not much to say. If you like energetic reds this is a go to. One of the only reds ive ever liked. I only take it at night so far but id be willing to try this red borneo during the midday. Im sure it wouldnt relax me as much as other reds do but still provide the great pain relief and energy i look for in a strain.

Green Hulu: 8/10. Such a dissapointment. I was expecting this to be #1 but whatever! No vendor is going to be 100% consistent going back years and the batches always change.

Aroma: 10/10. Freshest (maybe 2nd freshest smelling after the malay its a hard tie on fresh smell with the Malays color almost placeboing me into saying it smells fresher too). Smell reminds me of a rainy jungle lol. The other kratoms dont have this rain reminding smell.

Effects are to say the least..not what they used to be. I woke up this morning to try my normal 7g dose without any other kratom in me to get a better feel for its effects..10 mins pass..nothing..20 mins...im just out of withdrawal..30 pass and im saying "damn..is this really...but its green hu... From mota...what? What the fuck?"

Yeah. Seriously. Their green hulu even as he said has always been one of the most popular since the pre ban fire. But this was a let down compared to the other strains. All of the others have significant differences - not something you see from most vendors in terms of effects. I gaurantee i could blindly tell you what strain you gave me if you picked one of these 4. And if I felt like I took some of the random other kratoms ive been doing the past year and a half, id say it was the green Hulu. The RB GMD and Malay all are so easy to tell which it is from feel and potency. This GHK feels like any other regular ol kratom leaf albeit just fresher smelling and fresher looking. Its definitely the 2nd freshest and smelliny after the green Malay. Vibrant green though nowhere near as vibrant as the Malay. The GMD is more of a dark green tan. This GHK is a dark green. Not something you see from a lot of vendors! Ive tried over 30 vendors probably over the years, from headshops to online vendors, to trades with other kratom conniseurs. Big let down! im not THAT dissapointed as its still some of the better kratom in my stash but I just had my hopes up from it ALWAYS being the best strain i recieve from Motarkbest.


That about sums it up guys. Give motark a shot if you haven't. And save me some of that freaking malay and green maeng da damn it. I was almost questioning whether or not to post this becuase i want more of those two ASAP before batches change. The malay just because the color and smell alone. The MD cause the potency.

Motark has always been my number 1 go to. Even during the ban scares it was with his funky ass website ordering "green maeng da fidget spinner 250g" (seriously, lol!!!) I always dealt with the pain in the ass to get my kratom from him. No other vendors has came close man. Just IME and IMO. Other redditors and some people on here would agree just do a search.


And i wasnt trying to bash smiley time! Ive never had their kratom. God knows - maybe their kratom in the pic really is untouched. It just doesnt look so to me. If it isnt id go ahead and try them out. But with all the preban vendors i used to use and still use to this day - trusted and (used to be?) Well known..its hard to shoot my shot with all of these IMO no name vendors until i came here to the forum.

And edit: i looked up smiley times website and cannot find kratom on it even after searching "spec" like most websites used to need. Cant find any kratom. Anyone want to help me with that? Also reccomend some of their strains. Im willing to try them out for somewhat bashing their photo and can post a review. I did reddit reviews for years before they banned mentioning vendors. Might as well try them since they're mentioned here so much...

Just crazy to me how all the favorite vendors changed up man... Literally dont recognize and have never heard of or seen smiley, "Sosa", soflo (????), science, etc until here....

yah Motark is one of very few, still in biz carry over from back then. All Natural Artisan, rez chef ? Canopy. Kraydo. Then in summer 2017, B Bunny & Enhanciosa & Herbal RVA really took off.. Otherwise.. not many of the old school left. SoCal moving, or whatever. Some other veteran shops like Meridian ? Would not or could not, lower their crazy prices.. I checked 100+ vendors for PPG = price per gram

Motark gave up their domain, 1 year vacation? Yes they always had a good solid rep. Now.. changing times. Newer guys have stepped up their game.. Smiley, was around reddit swap sell & became known as a collector of fine leaf.. puts up a website. Now it's Members Only: "you must create an account with a valid email, name and address. Then contact us for approval."

So you won't see anything, until you're signed up. Go ahead it's def worth while !! A few others, remember DG? I guess he's no longer taking new members? A bunch of guys moved to MeWe... Spirit Science on MeWe, was on reddit. Soultanic is also members only. Also worth signing up. Its a New Wave.. look at the List $ = SoSa, Speciosa Life, check em out.

I checked out speciosa life.. Interesting strains and good prices man. I'll try a half kilo out just because.

And ahhh yes DG. I tried some of their kratom via a swap trade for some of this shitty choice kratom i had laying around ($1/g) smh!!

Havent checked to see if gaia is still around.. Only tried one strain from him sadly.

But yeah. Damn its hard to ride the new wave when im stuck in the old one! Motarks always been by #1 .. Always beat socal and other vendors mentioned.

Haven't heard any negative reviews on Motark, so I gave him a shot. Find it hard not to when he's using his same suppliers. Many of his strains just came in from a fresh restock..I'll update when I try some of it out.

I just ordered two strains from Motark based on this review. I, however, AM a red guy so they’re both reds.
Processing was super fast, it only took an hour to receive a tracking number!

I’m hoping the Red Hulu and MD are as good as his other strains. Anyone tried either of these?

I just ordered the same split as the OP. Was debating on the Hulu but said what the hell - maybe it’s a chemistry thing. I never tried him back in my early days, but I definitely remember all the Reddit praise for him.
Hopefully these are some standouts. They are up against a lot of other good ones though - there has been some truly outstanding leaf this year!

I've got an order coming any minute now. I picked 2 of the strains based on this review as well as the Red Vein and WMD. Will report back. Motark was my go to vendor when I first started ordering online back in the day.

It's not the prettiest leaf, but it is solid. Need a few more runs to give a review, but WHulu was decent and GMD good.

I tried him in back in August for the first time since he reopened.
It is definitely the same stuff from before his hiatus. Which is why you don't hear any negative reviews, its just effective, consistent product.
I wonder what happened to his White Borneo. It was his personal favorite.

I tried his red elephant a month ago and it was by far the best elephant I ever tried.

First it smells super fresh and is definetly fresh and fermented.
The pain relied and warmth from it is absolutely amazing. You can do a split like 2/3 maeng da and 1/3 red elephant and its a really nice combo.
This red elephant lifts other strains, and also very good on it's own.
