I know that I've been posting a lot, but I want to get these reviews out there while the batches are still current. This review will be for Mr. Smiley Time. He was one of the first small batch vendors I tried, and has been one of my main vendors since the tail end of 2018. I buy a LOT from him, and that is because it is HIGH QUALITY leaf. I have had very few duds from him, which is surprising considering how many offerings he has. There were some that didn't agree with me, but my girlfriend traded with me and we are both very happy with everything we've got. Lets get into some of the best current offerings that I've tried.

PMD-9.5/10. This is some of the best leaf that has been around in the last year. Mind blowing mood lift, amazing body feel, not too fast or too slow, great pain relief, it is everything that I look for in my leaf. I have major tolerance issues but this one consistently breaks through. If I remember reading right, it is a blend of green and red, which is my favorite blend there is. If you like a mid-slow green with a moodlift, this is one you MUST buy, no questions asked. I tried it last summer and thought it was just okay, but I only had a sample of it. I ordered some around the holiday sale on the off chance I would like it, and have been blowing through the bag and just got a shipment in yesterday of another 250g of it. I will forever keep this in my rotation if the quality stays this high, which with his consistency, I would say it will.

Red Bali-9/10. One of the most consistent night time burns. My girlfriend and I bought a key each of this on his holiday sale, and I have been buying this every order since last summer. I love this red. I am picky with my reds and this one is my gold standard for which I judge reds off of. It is very heavy and sedating, provides a great mood lift, and awesome pain relief. I use this as a base to blend with almost every night (mix it with some Benni Red Malay and you've got yourself a few hours of glory before you pass out). If you like reds, this is the one. It is a bright green, definitely not fermented at all.

Super Green #3-8.5/10. This is my girlfriends favorite green, and for good reason. It is similar to the PMD, but significantly faster. There is a calm energy with this one that makes it a perfect afternoon pick me up type of strain. It provides a great moodlift as well. The only area that this one falls just a bit short is the pain relief, otherwise I would give it a 9. It still is great pain relief, but not as much as the red bali or PMD. He is known for this strain, and for good reason. If you use kratom for energy or to help with symptoms of anxiety/depression, this is a top pick without a doubt.

Super Green Malay-8/10. I don't have the current batch of this one, but I have had 3 batches throughout the last 6 months or so and all are consistent, so I feel comfortable recommending this one. I almost got it on my last key order, but I opted to try out the Wild Green Bota and Green Smile instead (haven't tried either yet, but looking forward to them!). Super Green Malay is a slow green that almost feels like a faster red. It is a lovely mood lift, pain relief of a red, and crushes anxiety. This was the first strain that I tried from Smiley and it was what turned me on to his leaf. Blending this with a faster green is wonderful. It feels almost like the classic green/red blend but with 2 greens. It is pretty heavy on your body, which is exactly what I look for in a green. It also has pretty long legs compared to others. This is another popular offering from Smiley, and for good reason.

These are some of the current standouts for me, but others that have been great are the Super Green MDJK, Super Red MDJK, Wild Red Hulu, Red horn, and Secret Smile. I have had a few that didn't jive super well with me (Super Red Malay, recent Wild Red Borneo batch, Green Glow) but my girlfriend tried them and enjoyed them so I think it was more so it just didn't mesh with me personally and has nothing to do with the quality. He is a great vendor that stands behind his product. My most recent order there was a little hiccup in shipping and a bag had a slight tear in it. I reached out to him and he took care of me within a few minutes! That's good customer service. Smiley is one of the most consistent vendors I have found, and I will continue to order from him. He is also my girlfriends preferred vendor right now, along with Lucky and Benni. If you are a member of his site, I can't stress enough that you should try out the strains I have reviewed here. These are his claim to fame strains, and they are always consistent in quality. He takes care of his customers and is always trying to improve his business. If you're not a member, Benni also sells some of his top quality strains through his site, so I would recommend grabbing a few bags from him just to try out. The prices are great, customer service is great, and when you order a key for 89 dollars, you get every penny of your money's worth.

Both the White and Green Monsters are my go to strains from Smiley...very consistent!! The white being a little faster than the Green but the Green offers more of a mood lift.

I do 6-6.5g 3x a day. I've been fighting that tolerance but the PMD almost always breaks through really well. The green monster was one that I had a sample of and loved and then bought a bag and got absolutely nothing from. Gave the bag to my girl and she loved it. Just one of those cases of a batch not agreeing with me I guess. I never bought it again but maybe I should try again.

dosage is way too high. I used to be 7-8 gram dose guy for years and always dismissed the less is more theory because I had dropped my dose to 6 and 4 grams to no avail. On a whim one day I tried a 3 gram dose and wham!!!! I was blown away. And I went on to discover many strains that I had previously dismissed that were amazing at the 2-3 gram doses. And agree that some batches vary. The Green Monster from smiley I got last summer was one of the best strains I’ve had period and same for PMD. But the batches I’ve got the last month or so just aren’t lighting the world on fire for me and I am very mindful of maintaining a low tolerance by dosing 3.3 grams 3x daily so I never exceed 10 grams. Maybe the dry season leaf is that much better. I would love to find someone that may have some of the green monster or PMD from june-august of last year

The most recent stuff I got from them are all good. I've never really hit a dud with their stuff. The "Smile" veins are pretty good, especially the green. Thought the Green Vietnam 2.0 was awesome though cant remember how long ago I got that. Definitely a speedy but well balanced green.

I've only ordered from them once and it kinda turned me off, super complicated to be able to order from them, and once I could I ordered yellow Vietnam 2.0 which was a complete dud, and chocolate bentuangie which was a bit better. Maybe I'll try the PMD. Plantation maeng da or premium maeng da or?

When did you order the Wild Red Borneo? Just curious. He doesn't have batch numbers but i got mine in december. Thinking of trying it again in my next order when he re-opens

Also, when did you order the red bali? I'm wondering how often he restocks and batches change. Any small batch vendors want to chime in on how often it is usual to restock? all my orders have been from the last 3 months, do you think these batches will be the same if i were to place an order in the next couple days? I really enjoyed smiley's OG Red Kali, and my recent order of red smile / red glow were both above average, nothing super special but they were ok. I'm wondering if I should go with red bali in my next order as well, as I have yet to try it. I usually order red bali with every order but I'd heard a lot of good things about his red smile and glow.

For years same dose? big mistake friend! Some kratom is best below 3 grams not more because its very strong and potent. Exampme TFH Wild Yellow and Emerald Elephant is not to be played with. 1 full tea spoon can go over 3 grams and give you crazy wobbles and maybe puke with messing with your eye vision, but under 3 grams, it hits perfectly right on all level and last very long 4+ hours. Sure blends you can take a lot more since i only assume different alkaloids involved but if something for example wild yellow or Emerald Elephant from TFH you can add 1g or 2 g to your other favorite kratom and i noticed both of this you cant go wrong blending with anything. Now just dont blend fast green like Emerald Elephant with some other fast green, wobbles to be expected. But if you blend Green Elephant with Red, WOW its awsome, i blended the other day KTC 2 gram red borneo with 2 TFH Emerald Elephant and 2g Sosa Green bone (not fast green, contains stems), 6 gram total, it blew me away how perfect the blend turned out, i was super chilled , super talkative and super focused at work. Now this is just example that you should never take same amount kratom as a dose, play with it and you will learn some kratom less is the only way to go or you might end up trading away some gems and get mad at your self later by getting weaker kratom that you can take more. Sure this subject is tricky, so my main advice to everyone put it away if people talked good about it and something didnt mesh. later you might play with a dose try again and will be fire. you can always find out if its shit if you did like 5+ times and was always shit no matter what dose tried. Best way is doing blends if you want to feel slight full spectrum of alkaloids. But if just want relexing aim, use reds or some yellows, if want energy in morning more use whites and if just want be in a zone of work or a long tast, some good fast green make your job worth while and you wont even notice how fast the time went. Or even half white and half green blend can add extra effects you desired especially if you know how each batch is on its own so you can kinda use you imagination how it will be when combined.

Well all I am saying is that my normal dose is 2 to 3 level teaspoons when I dose. I have been taking kratom (not daily) for the past 3 or 4 years. I have gone thru lots of different vendors/batches/strains... I've only got maybe 2 or 3 batches out of the 100's i've ordered that made me dizzy/jittery even at low doses (1 teaspoons; 2.5grams), i consider that 'not good kratom' if it makes me feel jittery/dizzy/etc even at my normal doses.. Maybe you have a much lower tolerance? Because some of the best kratom I've had has been perfect at my 2 to 3 teaspoon doses. Anything that gives me wobbles/dizziness I consider no good. I have heard that the stuff that makes your jittery/wobbly even at low doses is because it comes from a young tree that hasn't had time to mature yet, but who knows...

Anyways, do you have any suggestions on strains that are good from smiley time herbals right now? I usually order only from DG now days but its just getting way to expensive so I want to branch out and try some new vendors and according to this board it seems like Smiley Time Herbals and TFH are the top dogs around here? I am willing to order from either one, just would like some suggestions on what might be good right now.

Smiley is good just i haven't ordered recently anything from them. Green Monster super duper was nice from last year, still got some. Can't buy them all, but if one thing you should def try green monster but main problem batch # might of changed but he tries to keep good stuff on menu so I assume still close to last year quality wise. Also 3 tea spoons, how full is it? or its flattened out powder on teaspoon? have you ever tried measuring 3 teaspoons how much that turns out? if not i can measure it out for you with full tea spoon with a hill. Seems like that will be like 6-9 grams depending on a hill. But the theory kratom being bad if you get dizzy at high dose is very a bad idea because i had a green borneo from 2016 that just this year the kilo was finished. Why just now finished? because you needed very little and super duper euphoria and clean energy. And at higher dose it would mess with my eye vision and put me to sleep. So i capped the whole kilo and used 1 gram thats 2 pills. I used that only for emergency times like, i needed a small boost of energy at work or driving long distance and instead of monser or other energy drinks, 2-3 pills did the magic for 2-3 hours. But my dose is 4 or 6 gram a dose, and second one is 3 or 4 grams. thats total 10 grams. sometime i do 4 grams before work and 6 grams trough out break times. But sometimes if i want to knock my self out with relaxations 6-8 grams of red. But with breaks or lets say 24hour break i need 4 grams instead of 6-8 gram and get same results. so breaks do help 100% if want to save some kratom. Or it could be chemistry does play a big roll , still till this day no one knows 100% all the answers, we can only assume since we dont have thousand dolor equipment to do tests. I thin TFH still taking orders till 22 march. and i just had 6 gram sample of yellow aceh kg24, wow all around nice balanced strain, feels like full spectrum. Was even thinking adding 2 more grams and i have a feeling if i do there will be zero wobbles just stronger effect, i have a feeling you will like this one. in fact since i mentioned it will go add 2 gram and edit post later. Lat time i took 6 grams was 2 hour something. soory didnt mean to hi jack smiley reviews but green monster would be a choice for him.

So i tried to grab s little bit with tea spoon and almost flattened with very small hill.

when dumped on scale it came up 2 grams, now x3 6 grams total is not bad at all. but if your scoop looks way more then that then your dose is much higher.

Here is a old scoop from herbal, one side is 2 grams and another is 6 and i measured it many times, always the same. never fail. So i just did 2 grams of yellow aceh kg24 sample. I am telling all vendors if they can get a spoon like this its very very accurate and will sell good. Sure .3 difference is very small.

By the way the Super Green Borneo back then was very very good for me and the bag is almost empty so you might want to get a sample and see if you like that one. i also haven't had any wobbles with Super Green Borneo at higher dose so something you might check from smiley.

I got a couple splits just last week. Haven't had much of a chance the test yet but here's what I got.
Baik Bali
OG Thai
OG Green Kali
OG Red Kali
Wild Green Borneo
White Smile
White Glow
Premium Red Thai


The white smile is good as always. Got to try out the white glow tomorrow. All the strains I picked were off the max menu which is you can only buy max amounts like either 250 or 500 so they seem to be the most popular. That's the way I usually buy from Smiley since he has such a huge menu. I always forget to buy his PMD though that's supposedly always good. Smiley is definitely in my top five.

I have alot of history with SMT. He's been my go-to vendor for a long time. Some of the best strains I've ever had were from him. But its not that way anymore....seems that overall potency has decreased. From what I've read on the web, there's a general trend toward decreased potency because the popularity has increased so younger and younger Kratom is being harvested (mature leaf is more potent) - so its likely not just an issue with STH. To complicate things, the longer I've used it, my tolerance has increased. So that is an issue that makes it difficult to compare. However when I get a new batch of something that I havent had in a long time (or ever) the tolerance issue "disappears". So its almost impossible to tell whether my experience is because of tolerance or because of decreased potency - but I truly think its some of both.

I like Whites/Greens that give energy, focus, and are mood-lifting. I recently ordered Premium White Thai, Premium Green Thai, Premium Maeng Da, White Hulu, and Wild Green Bota.

The only one I feel any effects from is the Premium White Thai. I'd rate it a 7 of 10.

The others are in the bottom drawer taking up space (but cant bring myself to throw them away because I'll try them again one day)

I got my first order from STH this week and thought I would put my summery here. My order was:
Dragon Fire
Orange Glow
Secret Smile
Monster Mash
Pink Bali
Daylight

First I tried the orange glow for my first burn yesterday, but fell back asleep (it's my day off work) before I felt anything so I will have to try it again.

Monster mash was my choice when I got up. Took my normal dose and got a little greedy so after 30 min I took 2 more grams. That wasn't a bad decision because the next 4 hours were good. Really nice mood lift and overall sense of well being. I enjoyed it so much I took it again for my final burn of the day. Which was as pleasant as the first.

I had to be at work at 5am to unload a truck at the restaurant I work at so I thought trying Daylight hoping it would help me with the next 3 hours of hard work. This stuff was great. It really helped my work day just glad I didn't take more than my normal amount as I can see too much would have hurt my concentration.

Pink Bali was my choice when I got home and it was another winner. Great mood lift with just enough energy to enjoy some hobbies and not fall asleep on the couch.

I just burned Secret Smile so I will write it up later. I don't want to give final grades on these until I try them a few more times but so far I have been very happy with my choices. I have been on the TFH kick as many of us have had the luxury of doing lately (Big ups to Chris and Angie y'all are awesome) but so far STH is going in to the permanent rotation and will be ordering more from them soon. Prob gonna put an order in right now lol
