Cold brew, can use a French press but I have a fancy Japanese pitcher with a microthin filter. No bitterness and very strong - must dilute 1:1.

I do also enjoy pour overs, French pressed, Moka stove pot, and aeropress. Drip coffee can be good too, but I don't have a drip coffee maker.

Try HonoluluCoffee.com, the absolute best bang for your buck. Love the Lokahi.

I use a ninja drip coffeemaker. I hand grind all of my coffee beans, favorite right now being fogchaser from SF Bay Coffee Co. I have always been happy with the coffee I brew, it's strong but not bitter. But now I'm wanting to try out that aeropress and see what that is like.

There is little steep time when you aeropress, so none of the bitter flavors come across, and it's concentrated, so you need to add a little water. It's really good, but I wouldn't travel with my press like some people do.

Ok finally ordered one but a bit bummed not getting it til the 20th, so hopefully I’m still alive lol but hey if I am going to have some great coffee and going to try Aces method of tea and eventually try balls smoothie, oh and since the cold brew method spin suggested, I’ve had more iced coffee this past month than I’ve had all my life lol

Don't regret getting the pour over - I like to use that with light roasts to bring out all the aromatics, something the aeropress doesn't do - very flavorful coffees won't benefit from the aeropress because they are not in contact with the hot hot water for more than 30sec. You will never have bitter coffee but you'd be wasting all those light roasts.

I put the coffee in the aeropress first, then I pour boiling water in, enough to fully submerge the coffee, and stir. I'll let it sit for about 45 seconds to a minute and then I'll fill the aeropress the desired total amount of boiling water and stir again. I then cover the aeropress for about 1.5-3 minutes. Then I put the filter on, flip the aeropress onto my coffee cup and slowly filter my coffee into it. If you use the metal filter you still get the oils from your coffee beans, the paper filter catches the oils. Do it like that and you can get a very flavorful cup of coffee

Sounds like something to try... but there must be a reason so many coffee snobs love the pour over. I definitely prefer it for those lights roasts like I said. It makes the flavors sparkle in a special way, lol. But having the hot coffee sit in the aeropress... hmmm... I'm not drinking a lot of coffee right now or I'd experiment.

You should try something like beanbox.com and you'd have an array of flavors and roasts to fiddle with.

Mm I'll have to check that out, I love coffee and I only purchase whole bean and grind myself.

Yup, gotta grind yourself.

Places like beanbox send you subscriptions and you can vary or pick the same flavors over and over.

Superhighlyrecommend.

I'm really picky about my beans, I have tried so many. The only ones I have really liked so far is one called fogchaser by SF Bay coffee co. But I'm always looking to try new ones.

What's good about beanbox is they offer beans from different roasters, all batches from some of the smaller and harder to get artisan stores, mostly from the Seattle area. Like some kratom peeps, they number them so you can place orders for the same while still getting in new stuff. I don't understand wine, but could tell you all about the scents and flavors of these coffees, they are so delicious. It's sad that I am watching my caffeine intake.
