Kat's Botanicals is awesome!

I've ordered three times now from Kat's- every time he has included an ounce sample with my purchase.

Other vendors could take a page from his book. I ordered FOUR KILOS from RVA and got NO samples. I've ordered from SoCal, and it's the same. (Yes, I'm still salty about RVA. I think a purchase that size should include a sample!)

Just my two cents- YMMV.

Personally considering the pricing and quality of RVA products I've never asked for a free sample. If he has something I want to try I order a sample and pay the $9.

Also some smaller vendors have limited samples by size or to specific strains because of the extra expense and time it takes to buy smaller bags and send out free samples of every strain they stock.

His price/quality ratio is unparalleled, I always find this an odd and petty thing to complain about. "How dare he not include something for FREE!"
You're already getting 4000grams, does another 25 really make a difference?

Exactly. I love a nice sample and very much appreciate the effort and expense that involves for the vendor, but I've never thought -less- of a vendor because I didn't get one.

Plus, I just ordered a split key from RVA yesterday that was all of $64, that I know will be good leaf (or at least tradeable even if I don't like it myself). For that price per domestic kilo, I don't need a free sample -- the value is already there in what I ordered and paid for!

For what it's worth, Harry at KOG almost always throws in a sample AND has great leaf -- if you want samples, go there. You won't be disappointed.

I'm sure other vendors do as well -- anybody get free samples lately from other vendors they'd recommend?

I've come to learn samples are a bonus and not to be expected when ordering. Some vendors include samples, some don't, and some do/don't on random occasions. I normally find the best way to get a guaranteed sample is to just politely request one. No shame in it, especially if you're a consistent customer.

Every time I order from Kraydo Kratom they always throw in a 30 gram sample. Even when I order only a 250 gram bag. I have always enjoyed their product, especially the Elephant. Also, Treasure House Botanicals said they were adding samples to my order set to be delivered today. Just my experience.

Oh yeah, forgot about Kraydo! They've given me samples in the past as well (30g like yours, if I recall correctly) and one was really good stuff, I think it was Green Horn. And he's a solid vendor too, I've never been disappointed with Kraydo. Thanks for the reminder, I forgot all about that.

I asked for a sample of a discounted white strain and what I received blew my mind. I've also found that when I ask for a sample I'm likely to get a sample of whatever the vendor is having trouble selling for any one of a number of possible reasons. It's easier to purchase a sample size and tell them exactly what strain I want to try.

Add my Review of Kats Botanicals product: Excellent quality leaf, he's got a big variety so choose carefully there's something for everyone on his fantastic new website. Maybe the #1 design and function website of ANY kratom vendor, now, and don't forget Kats has 8000 people in his Facebook group - that's a lot of happy customers.

I did receive a Free Sample with my Kats order. I've tried several strains including Green Batak and Red Batak, both very strong! The green is very energizing, could be too much for some folks.. Blends well with a more mellow strain. Blends great with a bent.

Right now Kats seems to be having a payment problem like most vendors. I'm personally not into E-Check. So if this vendor is offering "only" E-check that is unfortunate and I hope he will re-consider. The market is very competitive and others, maybe smaller vendors or whatever, still take credit cards, and other methods. I would gladly send Kats a postal Money Order!

That's just weird. I havent checked his FB Group in awhile.. He is very popular. Are most "decent" vendors getting swamped with orders? As I posted on another thread, RVA has a re-stock last month and said he's received 200 new orders in just four hours. 200 people. Four hours.

Lots of n00bs from 6 months ago and they're all in their "Stocking Up" phase buying a load with every paycheck.

Update: I just checked. Kats Botanicals IS NOT "Out Of Stock"

Kats is totally overrated in my opinion. Yes his product is good but his shipping is HORRENDOUS. Order fulfillment is terrible (four out of four were wrong in some way). And yes, his website is currently wiped out of almosr everything and he is claiming one to three weeks to be restocked. Im newer to these vendors. Any opinions about vendors that have similar quality kratom without the hassle?

Update on Kats Botanicals- his website is totally wiped out again. Lots of complaints in his fb group. No more free sample with $25 purchase, its now $100. People are complaining about that too. It was broadcasted in another FB group that Tea Time Botanicals is selling a bunch of Kats product.

I no longer use Kats but thought I'd update for those interested.

awww man, stumbled on this post and remembered that Red Kali carried was seriously my favorite red and the single most sedating i've ever had. I wish I knew where it was supplied from so I could grab a kilo. that Green Sunda is choice leaf though.

Finding Red Kali (for me) is like finding Papua strains. When I do finally see Kali it is out of stock!!

Id love to grab some Green Kali some day.

Anyway I recently got Green Brunei and WOW what a lovely burn. A new favorite, period!

This "free" sample from kats really cost you $60. RVA is $72 kilo shipped. Kats is $132 kilo shipped. So really you could buy a kilo from RVA and then get 6 100g samples for the price of 1 kilo of kats with a 28g "free" sample.
